The Morgan family - Charles and EVERYONE at the factory - could not have been more helpful during our visit there. They have a factory they are *very* proud of and happy to share it - in fact, you too can walk where I walked on the factory tours although I don't think they would hand over the paint gun . . . :)
I work in the supply chain for Morgan, and I have to say they are a good customer to work for very pragmatic with a no bullshit attitude. Great company, I wish we had more like them.
Thanks! We had a great time putting this together. We are having a Morgan Cruise In at our Studio - The Automobile Driving Museum - in El Segundo, California on Sunday, January 27. theadmdotorg
@puck971 Remember what Charles said about Morgan being modest. Even before I stepped foot in the factory I knew they were doing things a bit different than other small British manufacturers. That being the case, I have no doubt they will be around for a long time to come. Also remember Sochiro Honda's famous quote: "There will ultimately be 6 major companies" then he paused and said "and Morgan". When the show goes into syndication, I will head over again to build my own Aero V8 Manual . . . :)
Great show MotoMan, I love the in depth segments you do and I hope Morgan is still around when I get around to buying one. After the demise of Bristol. Arile, Morgan and Noble are the last truly British car companies. I hope we get to see the 3 Wheeler in the next segment.
Actually, the longest single episode is Lutzland (4xCXD443rr0). We have a number of full episodes - over 40 and counting spread amongst 3 seasons. Season 4 starting soon!

Hi saw your post, would you know how does Morgan make sure none of that wood under sheet metal ever gets wet and then rots? Lots of sealant? Sealant around screws? I restore wooden yachts, all handcrafted, all beautiful, but rain water, a hidden leak, always an invitation to wood rot. It's why people prefer tasteless fiberglass boats out of molds.
You sir have made me mad, drool, and jealous all over the course of the episode! Building one of those cars had to have been an experience and I'm happy to see you have fun doing it. I want to own a 4x4 soon!
Thank you, sir! Truly one of the most amazing experiences in my life . . . HIGHLY suggest you get over there and check out the place in person. Both from a time gone by and a solid eye on the future . . .
Gutted about the news . . . While I appreciate Steve Morris and his management skills, it is simply the wrong move to part ways with Charles. Not only is he vibrant and a visionary but I can't help but like Morgan without Charles Morgan is like Apple without Steve Jobs . . .

One of the coolest car episodes I've ever seen. Looking forward to part II.

Well said.

Precious,beautiful car
This is a very well made factory visit, the presenter can involve in building a Morgan.
I've always wondered, does the wood decay or rot over time? Is this a problem? I too have always dreamed of owning a Morgan!

Building a car while wearing a sports jacket!
Someone asked me once: If I were a car, what car would I be?
I replied: A MORGAN!
Charles Morgan is such a nice person. What a shame, that he got kicked out of the Company founded by his grandfather.
Truly a great man . . . and very forward thinking in technology & design.

I spoke too soon. I did see someone w/ hearing protection!
No safety glasses or hearing protection. Yep, no way this would fly in the US! :-)
It flew. What law requires eye and ear protection? It's licensed as a motorcycle.
