Merveilleux film sur la fabrication des plus belles voitures du monde. On ressent toute la passion de ces artisans anglais pour la fabrication à la main des ces œuvres d'art automobile. J'ai hâte de visiter l'usine à Malvern.
I love these classic looking British cars. These and the older Rolls-Royces. That British Racing Green one that he is driving at the end is exactly how I would have one.
What a fab company! It's so great to see that they are still going very strong for well over one hundred years now! I'm the proud owner of a Plus +4 Centenary 1909-2009 two seater sports car and a rare Super Sports three wheeler trike of 1937 vintage with a barrelback (ally) body with a water cooled Matchless MX2 V-twin.... Bring back Charles Morgan!!!
Not feeling the whole wood body thing but these cars are absolutely stunning. Seen one in person in Chicago of all places and it truly leaves an impression.
The factory tour is a must,it appears chaotic, with so many separate assembly areas, the whole site is on a slope, with part finished cars being pushed and rolled from one location to the next, but somehow a beautiful finished vehicle emerges. Great to see all the finished cars being road tested on the roads around Malvern, I would do the test driving for free. I have never owned one, but have always longed for one.,and part of the joy of ownership is knowing they are hand made by a dying breed of craftsmen.
Damn... Normally, I'm not a big sports car/luxury car/overtly special car guy... but I think I found one my new special dream car that's THAT special (and for good reason). PLEASE bring these to the USA at some point in time! :(
What a fantastic video you guys are so lucky to work for Morgan I'd cut off my right leg for a job at your factory because like you guys I'm a perfectionist
Have been a big fan of Morgans for 54 years 🙂. I found this very interesting a very enjoyable. I was sad that the Morgan three wheeler (with Harley engine which I'm not a fan of) ended production. Now sadly Morgan have missed the target with its new three wheeler, it's a bitsa and lost its charisma. But I'm old and still in love the old traditional classic lines.
I'm surprised you have a factory video. When I was there in 1988 I went on the self tour with some friends. The only rule was "No Photos" yet others touring were taking photos.
I had an idea. Might be insane, but anyways! - As kind of a "fun" video for youtube, it would be could if you could do someting like the Morgan SP1 again, but maybe with a Three Wheeler for example? Imagine a track oriented Three Wheeler, maybe a more powerful engine from a more powerful motorcycle. Front alloy custom wheels, a bit lower, driver seated in the middle, a real grippy rear tire, a freaking spoiler in the front! Would be cool to see what you guys can come up with, something different, something for the track! Like a morgan GT3 inspired three wheeler, or F1 inspired! Just my two cents, cheers
OK now the gripes... It's about time you did something about the side screens "belling-out" after about 60mph! Why not copy the MG 'T' series of of cars with internal (instead of external) fittings, they are of a much better design. I went for a vintage three wheeler trike because of the body design. Will you be introducing the 'Barrelback' version of the old Super Sports for your new trike as an alternative (and addition) to the current 'Beetleback'?... The good news is below....
"Morgan Motor Company: This Is How We Do It." I must have missed the bit about how they ousted Charles Morgan from the family business. Maybe next video?
Mr Morgan: Build them (AERO 8) lower, wider, lighter, longer wheelbase. Everything other item/concern is unimportant and all will fall into its proper place. Place the present Aero on 3D cadd and stretch it 1 inch lower, stretch 3 inches wider, 2 inches longer wheelbase relocating existing rear wheels. Use more magnesium parts as it is 30% lighter than Aluminium to reduce your overall weight versus existing. Add a lot more gauges ( 5 to 7 white background). This is a British sports car, Do not follow Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus into producing digitised dashboards with graphs and LED's. Make it a modern car with a slight nostalgic interior. You can charge 50 thousand more for this over your present car and it will sell.
Paint the inside of an aluminum panel for rust? I could see noise deadening or some sort of material that absorbed vibrations but this dude said rust.. what am I missing here?
The guy talking on the video said that they use aluminium sheet metal for paneling over the wood but then he says that they have to paint the backs of the panels to prevent them from rusting... I thought that aluminium doesn't rust???
@@gregtaylor6146 but do people care about the aluminum oxidizing? Because the oxidization stops once a thin layer is formed? It is almost like a free layer of protection lol
That 'thin' layer of oxidisation will over time get incrementally thicker and thicker till eventually that once shiny panel becomes nothing more than a powdered trail of Al2O3 coating the road leading to your garage.
Like a lot of people out there I really want a Morgan 3 wheeler but cant justify spending 45k for one .. I think it would be in Morgans financial intrest to set up a small manufacturing plant in the states and produce a 3 wheeler that are competatvly priced when compared to the canam-spyder at around 20k . Morgan needs to seriously consider this
oddly enough the current morgan 3-wheeler was actually designed in the states by a small kit car company in seattle called liberty motors. it was called the ace cyclecar, morgan became interested in the design and bought all of the rights to the ace cyclecar design from liberty, and liberty became an importer and dealer for morgan.
Gisteren een enthousiaste eigenaar aangesproken aan de Avia, die me deze link heeft aangeraden, zelden iemand zo enthousiast horen vertellen over de Morgan!!
How is it that Morgan can make a HAND BUILT, made to order, specialty car. With not a plastic panel in sight. And it's relatively affordable to the average Joe... Yet big manufacturers that have assembly lines and mass produced plasticy bits can't. That's a damn shame...
Maybe if they'd listened to Sir JHJ and increased output in the early 90s they would have stayed family owned. They had to modernise in the end regardless.
@@453421abcdefg12345 His advice was to raise prices to bring down the waiting list and make more profit and to buy in sections of the car and add to it rather than create everything from scratch - it seems they've done everything he said. Had the opportunity to visit the factory recently. If you get the chance to do so yourself... do it! You won't be disappointed. Fantastic! www.hayden-media.com
It's so good to see that a car company like this still exists. Keep up the great work Morgan.
CammieGee just like a retro motorcycle company like the ural motorcycles and Royal Enfield!
Damn, car making as a craft! Look at the care and attention that is put into each one! I want one!!
I love how Morgan avoids the craziness of high tech and stays true to their heritage. They are a breath of fresh air in the automotive industry.
"Avoids the craziness of high tech"? There are 4 computers in a Morgan!

Still running on half self?
The other reason is you are a closet homosexual ?

There's just no limit to the things I would do for one of these ... it's the most beautiful car I've ever seen...
I have always liked Morgans but this video really makes me want to buy one.

Morgan makes art. pure love .craft of the build
British craftsmanship at its best.
Really amazing work I love the look of this car
Superb film.. all very good natured and the staff as movie stars.. how did you persuade them.?
Just lovely to watch. Well done all.

the best video about morgan is IL TRANQUILLO E LA MORGAN
ColininOz I want one ! I have wanted one since the 1940's when I first saw one in England as a boy. But alas..... champagne taste - beer budget.
Wow hold old are you, if you first saw this car in 1940 now at least 90 y.o?

If I go to UK for some years,I would buy a Morgan!
Amazing craftmanship! 😍👏🏻 I would love the 3 Wheeler 🤤 #OneDay 💫
Did he say the panels were painted underneath to prevent rust? That's great music.
Amazing cars and amazing worskhop, music reminds me of the 3 times table (th-cam.com/video/1OPTfVcoCO4/w-d-xo.html)
Amazing works! I'm very impressed. Thanks for sharing this video :)
Incredible workmanship.
Beautiful all I have to say...I hope one day i could buy one of your masterpiece
This shows why Morgans have a "soul" that most new cars do not. Hell, even the Maserati plant's partially automated now!
It's like stepping inside a time capsule and going back to a good place
Oh there's a second stage to the paint. That must be the mother and toddler finger painting activity session lol

I love how they 're-manufacture' owners cars, they are dismantled and inserted back into the 'production line!

How do they move cars between shops in the rain without getting the wiring and exposed wood wet? Does it rain in England?
it never rains in England
fantastic work - keep it up!!

We know Wood rots so why keep going down that road are you living in the past?
Interesting viewpoint. Our Morgan was built during the summer of 1962 and still wears its original paint... and no rotten or damaged wood.
