    I just love listening to you Liz whilst doing some propagation & repotting. Your laughter is quite contagious. I love how happy & excited you get when you're around your plants. That's how I feel when I'm in my garden. 🥰

    It's such a pleasure to watch your succulent collection. Sooo much of variety 👌🏿👌🏿👍. You r indeed an expert. In India extreme heat is a problem. Winters hardly go more than minus 3- 5.

    Your bluebird is AMAZING! Im so jealous! Mine always get root mealybugs . That particular species especially for me . But they never grow like yours because of the root mealybugs. 😢

    I make my baklava with orange blossom syrup. It’s a Lebanese recipient from my grandmother. They are rolled and sliced. Very tasty.

    Never thought about my sea level here in baklava land. Im on the coast so only about 40feet. I tell you, its absolutely boiling here for about 7 months of the year. Instead of frost hardy, I have to acclimatise mine to very high temperatures and A LOT of strong sun. Im so jealous of your blue birds x

      Better hot than cold is what most succulents prefer. If humans can survive in the heat....a lot of succulents also can. Having a White 50% UV shade cloth area is a good training ground for most succulents.

    Hi Liz. I come from one of the countries where baklava is considered as national dish. Originally it is a supersweet dish with a lot of sugar and intent is to be eaten as a small cube (4-5 cm) with a very strong bitter coffee (worldwide known as Turkish coffee). You probably wonder why is so sweet? Well, cca 150 years ago sugar was expensive and avaliable to rich people only. To put a lot of sugar in sweets was a thing of prestige. Therefore baklava was only for rich people who were able to afford enough sugar. All those less sweet baklavas that you find today are adjusted recipes for 21st century. Also, at least in my country, baklava is made with walnuts only and some fresh lemon juice (I don't see slices of lemon on your baklava). Baklava with pistachios etc. is not original baklava.

      Thank you so much for that information Oliver. I'm glad I wasn't born back then as unfortunately I like them as much as potato chips and tend to eat it in the same fashion. Once I start, I can't stop.🥰

    You have so many succulents. How long does it take you to clean up dead leaves and water your succulents each day?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ones grown outside I haven't watered in months; only dependent on the rain. Cleaning up dead leaves in potted plants is a part of my TV viewing night routine.

    I got a Aeonium big bang mother plant doing a lethargic too. I'm worry because it's was a bare root korean imported . I imported a lot of Aeoniums but this one is the only one with transition issues. Should I dig it out? Any suggestions 🙏 thank you.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aeonium is dormant in summer. If it's lethargic, try soaking it overnight and if that still doesn't perk it up....check for root nematodes or root mealy bug.

    How do you protect them during winter.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certain plants that are frost sensitive I put away in an area with overhead covering but still open to sun and cold wind. What you see in this video is where they stay. I don't even put frost cloth on them.
