    Thank you as always. You are truly a wonderful teacher. After watching these vdos about aeoniums i have realised that i killed them poor things by not watering them in summers. Also keeping them in sunlight and watching them get crisp. This year i will experiment and see how it goes. Thanks to you i have already realised i cant keep them in harsh sun and neither can they survive without water. So fingers crossed and i hope i can see them thru the summer. The pineapple jam is another inspiration from this vdo.😋

      I just saw one of my potted Aeonium today with very small heads on top that are exposed to the sun, but the bottom heads are much bigger having been covered by other plants. Really goes to show not to follow or do what one reads in books and online 😅🤣 unless one does the experimentations themselves. Thanks again for watching Swati.

    I enjoy watching your videos. Every day, a couple times a day I look at your videos. I am amazed by the number of succulents you have grown and their names. I just started but have to grow indoors because of being handicap and getting around. I have about 12 plants, just started. Love your plants

    Totally agree Liz with aeoniums not going fully dormant in summer depending on position.

      @@GrowingSucculentswithLizK It is amazing how people far away from each other can come to the same conclusion!!! I live in Utah, USA, and my aeoniums under artificial lights are never totally dormant, only if I will let them sleep.

    Recently due to New York City cold weather, half of my plants died. 😢 but I learned that some of the plants are really really strong. Some of them came back alive like nothing happened. That was amazing to see.

    I’m hearing you Liz. Sometimes summer here is so hot I don’t want to go outside and other summers are much lower in temperature. I love all Aeoniums…I have two Yemen Form (one with a baby) and they are my favourite Aeonium. ❤

    Hello Liz. Aeonium goes dormant in the summer to protect himself from lack of watering and very high température. I have I didn't stop watering and they are not at rest. Others was outside and missing water. Since 2 weeks they are inside, and stop dormancy... It's cool inside. It was too hot.

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Aeonium I find goes dormant with the heat. If kept in a cool bright place even in summer, they continue to grow.

    Dear Liz, can you, please, show more of your mixed planters?
    With details about how long those different plants are together, and what is your prediction for a future of such arrangements.
    I am asking because I collect video reports from many international shows and exhibitions, and the oldest "community" planters shown there are under 10 years of age.

      I only have a few old arrangements but do have a couple of old plants in the same soil. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching.

    Hi Liz, I love your succulent garden❤️❤️
    I have a problem with my E. Romeo rubin where the leaves are turning down and not beautifully compact anymore. I'm also losing the vibrate red color. I have them outside uncover but it has bright light as my backyard is quite hot.
    Is the problem not enough sunlight on them?

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In summer, Romeo prefers a bright no direct sunlight spot to maintain color. When leaves turn down, it can only mean that the plant is trying to get more light by stretching its leaves. Trying to work out the right spot is tricky. If you're not sure where that is, having a 50% white UV shade cloth covering on top of them is the safest option. Good luck.
