Careful Sorin with the BIOS repairs :) It's like when you buy something extraordinary, a rare car or shoes, then every day you see one with the same car or shoes. Since I work with BIOS I rarely have a day without a BIOS repair - but I love it, my favourite job.
Sorin: Could you take the time to explain the wire connection on the clip and show where you find the connections needed to program different chips? Thanks for the video.
I work with an Elnec Beeprog2. Thats an amazing tool. Have a look at that, a lot of automatic functions and safeties. (more for professionals like you)
actually my recommendation would be svod3 or 4. Because instead of both products you buy, only SVOD device does the same job and is a professional device. svod3-4 progammer can now read next generation MPS VRM eeproms.
Never tried revelprog. Looks nice. A bit similar to the tl866 (t48 now) that ive used for years tho. Not sure I like the built in zif socket. I use those quite often and they go bad pretty fast specially if your putting in the the chips a bit hot so make sure to let them fully cool.
Sorin, do you have a chance to check if this programmer would work with Silicon processor powered Mac? I never had an issue using any programming tool using Windows on Parallels Desktop. Reacently I bought a M1 Mac Mini to check compability of the software I use for my job and hobby ( fixing laptops), and so far non of my programmers worked on it - RT809F, CH341, Tl866II Plus, ITE ENE . They all work flowlessly on Windos 11 on my main workhorse which is 2018 Macbook Pro.
dont know what your doing with your ch341a but i can read delete program and verify it in under 6mins and thats a 64mb bios chip , the ch programmer also auto does voltages and can also be done manually if you dont trust the program to do it ,i bought the same clip for on board bios read and programming but what they dont tell you is that you have to short out a crystal or diode tog et it to work if you dont remove it from the board as it stop you from deleting and reprogramming if you dont .
Very nice. I'm happy you got one. I wonder how it compares to my T48.. I'm yet to use mine 😁 Christmas came early for sure.... Next a BGA machine? That SVOD must now make its money back, for me just so expensive so a long time to save for that haha
eu folosesc un TL866II Plus. Am sa le compar specificatiile sunt curios ce diferenta este intre ele. Poate mai cumpar si modelul acesta :D multumesc pentru clip, mult succes in continuare
Sir, i got to rewrite my bios because it stuck on the bios password but to make sure: are you telling me that this device allow me to flash my bios without desoldering it ?
For an Asus K56CB, if I wrote the BIOS for Asus S550CM , and I want to re-write the proper BIOS ( for Asus K56CB ) , can it be done without opening the laptop ? I mean if I can use a software like WinFlash although I am using ZorinOS 16.2 ( tried on Windows 10 with WinFlash , but because the the BIOS .bin files difference - so I tried to flash .bin for K56CB over .bin for S550CM , WinFlash doesn't allowed me , because "BIOS file is not for the type of hardware that is in use"... but actually the laptop IS Asus K56CB , only that I wrote the BIOS for Asus S550CM ) . The reason of not wanted the laptop to be opened again is that of fear of breaking those small ZIF connections / cables. Maybe someone knows somebody who "cook" BIOS files, in order to address my problem . Thank You.
for a programmer speed is optional thing but its important for a programmer what can read with it and what kind of job u can accept to do and to finish [smart choice youre getting yourself an update, and dont stop doing yorself updates i mean it from the bottom of my heart, just remember old electronic repair services what happened to the ones witch didnt update themselves where are they now]😊
I also want to learn more bios and firmware programming It's a valuable skill to have I have a tl866 II (I believe that's the model) and it's quite handy but even it has its limitations. Chips that want very low or very high voltages aren't well supported Another useful tool I've picked up is the evc2 from elmor labs. Though it's not designed for repair it can be used for it.
Good morning, I know that you have decided on Revelprog, I have the same one and I am very happy. Greetings from Poland P.S Why is there no adapter for SOIC-8 200mil chips?
Are the adapters worth so much? Through the SVOD Project page the SVOD4 costs just 221€ and not 520€. I think during there pre-order phase last year it was even cheaper (
@@polynikos9 I don't have one, but it seems to be the official shop / website and on other discords people bought it from there. The official SVOD Programmer Software also links to that page. Every other shop seems to sell it with a big revenue margin.
0:37 "from Poland" it's nice to hear, that you bought something from my country 😍 if someone doesn't know what Poland... I can say that the games like The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2 were made by Polish studios, and also the Silent Hill 2 remake is now slowly cooking here, by company, who made The Medium. Can't wait :-)
I'm guessing the silicon junction or whatever that holds the charge even when power off is compromised and the one bit of info is lost. There is probably TH-cam explaining non volatile memory.
we are so lucky to have someone like you in youtube with all this experience , thank you for all what you are doing

I just subscribed to your channel.please make videos in English aswell
Buying tools is one the most exciting things in life adn receiving the packages.
Always make a backup for the bios before flashing the bios.

Waiting your part 2 video of REVELPROG IS.

Nice one and welcome to our world of bios programming

Svod 4 is the best , but handy to have 2 different type of programmer the RT809H is a good one as well the t48
i like dis programmer , very work perfect

thanks for sharing! will buy one too :)
You bought with 5250 clip/ SOIC-8. Will you have to buy the 5252 clip/SOIC-16 for any of the repair types you do?
Love you update your tools. When i go to live in uk from holland i need to downgrade my it company to uk base. Lol

Would love to see it work on a EEPROM Chip from a instrument cluster off a vehicle. I.e how to clone and pull key code and alter mileage etc.

BGA machines are for pussies :D
Hi. Wath is the modelo off the soic clip? It is intended to be used with soic 8-200 mil chips?
just a question about the svod programmer. why didnt you order it from their official site?
eu folosesc un TL866II Plus. Am sa le compar specificatiile sunt curios ce diferenta este intre ele. Poate mai cumpar si modelul acesta :D multumesc pentru clip, mult succes in continuare

SVOD4 IS THE BEST! I love this programmer :)
Better than SVOD 3 ? How long you used this 4 ?
Weldon ,but how do get the software ?
Can you program other chips, like the I/0 chip, for example?
Why you have not bought a tl866ii+ ( or the new version) ? Is the most used programmer
3elloProg also is very good, its Off-line programmer that doesn't need computer
SVOD programmer is very good
Good invest !! Every tool bring back the money.
So, now we will see that old dogs CAN learn new tricks ! 😁

Sorin: "You should know your limits".
Sorin 2.0: "Hold my beer, bought a new programmer".

Can that programmer remove bios password?
Rt809f or h version is great
Nice... 🎄

Svod is the best !!!!
Any link guys?
They have the website!
I bet, Sorin will open Revelprog box and make it better, at least thermal pads. :)
😂😂😂😂
nice!!!!! GZ on purchase!
Whats happening Sorin, you are showing us tools we normal people would never can afford to get. First the laptop battery programmer, later this
you are no more hardware guy😄
Having a send in business and put a sticker on your address? Was send to private? No good advertising for ur bussiness 🤔
Sorin is making Chinese spies nervous
Sorin back in business! Spor și sănătate! Îmi pare rău de experiențele tale cu prietenii... dar e adevărat.
Ce primisi bre? :)
New Tools! Chrismas again? OK Alright!
If I was a fed ex pilot leaving Poland, which is right next to Ukraine, I would be flying hell fast too !

No, the three adapters cost 140€.

Never seen a svod under 400 $
@@laboratorioassembler Just found it through the waybackmachine. Pre-Order Price for the SVOD4 at the end of 2021 was 178€.
Well Sorin, if you have the SVOD 4, that one can write BIOS also. And is fast! You will see! I only have the SVOD 3 :(
Anyway, nice tools.

Revelprog is not professional....you should not bought it
You forgot to mention what he should have bought
why does pc / laptop just loose bios data ?
