If hasbro would rerelease mindwipe as a voyager in studio series or a leader with mindwipe and sky stalker that would be an amazing release this is definitely one of the best movie decepticon figure
I never found Mindwipe, but I used to have Skystalker. Great little figure to have on your desk to mess around with. His weapons also have a c-clip that can attach to his forearms if you don't want to have him holding them.
When i was a kid back in 2009, i was just thrilled to have Mindwipe (never knew about the companion piece. But then again i didnt know a lot back then, cuz i was 7.)cuz I kenew he was in the Cybermissions series. Any yall a fan of those back then?
@@arkturus425 if only we could have seen more characters in those shorts like Brawn, Rampage, Dirge, Evac, & maybe see the link between Mindwipe & Skystalker (just like the gimmick of the figures)
This is why I like the rotf and hunt for the decepticons toy line, the vehicle modes are cool, robot designs are dope, and each of the figures have their own uniqueness to them. This is the peak of movie transformer toys.
The rotf line up to dotm are definitely the best lines of transformers hsitory. They were very innovative, and had a fun, complex transformations which is good because not only the parts arent foe, but because the way they transform, the details looked like it had dimensions. Too sad that those aspects were not totally vanished, but was gone on the newer lines since the transformations looked more simplistic which results on the details looking bland and somewhat 2d-ish in design.
There is also a combined mode for them in robot mode. Skystalker becomes a chest piece for mind wipe. I have mine displayed that way. Its a bit tricky to do. I found a video on TH-cam showing how to do it. It isn't official but it looks cool!! Thanks for the throwback review, it was greatly appreciated!!
Thew Adams perfectly summed up why the ROTF line was the best: It's because it was a massive party and all of the Transformers were invited. I swear, a bunch of Hasbro's designers sat down, each did a line of coke (or two) in a room plastered wall to wall with various pictures of vehicles and then went to town. If you were a Transformers fan who lived through ROTF and didn't at least bat an eye toward the line, I have nothing to say to you. The only thing that could have made the original ROTF line better is if they had a fully functioning team of Constructicons.
I just bought Mindwipe off eBay as well as Bludgeon. Two of my most wanted figures that I’ve been after for years. I can’t wait to add them to the collection and if you have ROTF Bludgeon you should do a throwback review on him he’s such an underrated and under appreciated character.
So glad I have these in my collection. Mindwipe was really standout, even for the time. I remember thinking: "the days of a jet mode having a box attached to their undersides is over". Silly me.
Man, some of the scout class toys from the late 2000s\early 2010s were truly remarkable. I'd also recommend RoTF Hubcap and Brimstone, Reveal The Shield Windcharger and especially Hunt For The Decepticons Breacher. As much as I adore the T30 and Prime Wars legends class figures, Breacher really outdoes them as far as engineering and posability goes.
The size reduction doesnt always apllies in all modern figures, ratchet studio series is almost a voyager size and rotf megs is almost as big blackout. FANTASTIC VIDEO
As you said; some of the concepts that were just in the toyline and not in the movies were great. You absolutly should review Breakaway, i love this one especially 😍
These two are a reference to the Decepticon duo Starscream and BB (Big Bomber) from Beast Wars 2. They also turned into two black jets with a combined vehicle mode with the larger BB turning into the same stealth bomber as mindwipe.
These are great figures. I had sold mine and ended up buying them again, because they were a great set of figures. I had the repaints of them and they just didn't have the same cohesiveness as the originals. Great review/video.
Ah...these were from the glory days of the Movieverse. The pair from Takara are put together particularly well and remains awesome from the time I bought them during their initial launch till this very day - an entire decade later! Great review. I'm sure you can tell how nice the materials used to feel in hand back in the day...
I miss the old days where Hasbro would make characters that didn't appear in the movie, where you could build an army with not just the main characters...
It's ironic that many of the figures under the Bay-verse toy line that weren't in the films look far better than the ones that were in it. FYI: You can do more with Skystalker's weapons using the clamps to connect into his forearms as extended hook limbs. I have about 3 Skystalkers. 4 if you include the slightly repainted one they named Lazerbeak. I use them as Mindwipe's little Wraith minions all of which are part of Nemesis Primes Dead-verse in my collection.
"I'll do my best to remember the official transformation, but it's been a while so I apologize if I get it wrong." Does no one just.. look up the transformation?
The interesting thing about Mindewipe is that he was redecoed into Strafe, who has the BIGGEST Autobot symbol ever because his paint application budget went into his wings being part of the Autobot symbol he wears across his wings
bring back old memories, i collecting some of figures from scout class rotf line like Depthcharge,Ransack, Dirt Boss,Hubcap and rollbar. There's not much official tf toy here in indonesia when i was a kid
OH MY GOD I REMEMBERED THIS FIGURE FROM BACK IN THE DAY!!!! I ALWAYS SAW IT AND WANTED IT BUT I NEVER GOT IT 😭😭. Thank you for showing me this figure that I never had the privilege to have 😄
Normally I'm not a fan of the chicken legs, but with the piercing eyes and overall posture, he reminds me of an evil owl or an avian, which looks so menacing and fantastic!
Bought these when they first came out, and they're individually great, but combining them makes them excellent. Three of the four Cybertronian glyphs on Mindwipe's wings spell out W-Y-R, but the last one doesn't apply to anything else I could find. I wonder if it was supposed to correspond with D? He is pretty wyrd, after all.
You should review the Sam’s Club Exclusive 3-Pack with Battle Damaged Arcee, Battle Damaged Optimus Prime, and Starscream from the first movie line! Great review as always my friend!
I am not exactly sure when I stopped collecting transformers, but I think these two might have been the last ones I wanted before I stopped collecting. I still wish I picked them up! In regards with prices, to this day I am not a fan of the less plastic and higher prices. I miss the days when a deluxe was $10. I remember as a kid being disappointed when the price of a deluxe went up to $15, let alone now to $20.
Great review PrimeVsPrime!!!!!! :D There is a fan mode that was created that combines Mindwipe and Skystalker in their robot modes. :D I've done it several times, and it works. :D Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D

Too bad he wasn’t actually in any movies.
They could do a wave that is of figures that weren’t in the movies. I would enjoy a Breakway, Longarm, and a titan class Stratosphere
@@Toon_Lucario Longarm is technically in the movie being just a tow truck but I agree on that.
You are better off just getting/keeping the originals. The studio series figures are a bit smaller than they used to be, so it wouldn't be the same.
