Why don't you go on command promp and type slmgr -dli to find out what kind of key you have...to make sure it is not a volume key that will expire sometime ?
Thanks for the is comment i bought a key from ebay i think so i was curious to see if mine had an expiry date attached to it luckily it did not. Also to my surprise i only paid 5 dollars Canadian for it. Kinda surprised it doesn't have an expiry date
@@canucks1988 The important thing to find out is what kind of key you got: Volume, OEM,Retail. The 2 last one have no expiring date they are go all the time. The volume key does not give you the date that it will stop but it will before it make 1 year. Mine keep on telling me that it will expire soon. If you don't know the difference between OEM and Retail let me know it will be a plaisure for me to explain both key. Richard
The reason that these are so cheap are because they are OEM keys. This means that they won't work on multiple systems and that you can't transfer it to a new system when building a new computer (or at least you can't easily without Microsoft's help). In addition, you can't activate an already installed Windows with these keys (or again, not easily without Microsoft's help). You'd have to do a fresh install. Not bashing on the video or steering people away, but these are some things people should know before buying.
Adel ᅠ i used on multiple system using 1 key over 15 install for different friends. The 16th got me black listed but once its install and activated all the previous key still genuine. Only when i install it for future set up it wont work anymore. But under $10 who cares
edups just dont talk to a real life person representative. Talk to the computer operator. Usually when you install one oem key to one pc it wont work on the next. Just call the computer operator. Give them the activation code they give you a 20 digit code to reactivate it. Not sure if its 20 code or not but i been doing it since 5 years ago to this date. I think either by now or from now on calling the computer operator wont work anymore but that was the loop hole when i did window xp. Window 7 and window 8. One oem key using 5 different pc.
Actually, you are wrong, you can activate Windows without a problem. I know this from experience. I build a new PC a few month ago and installed Windows without a key. The watermark on the screen got annoying after some time, so I bought a key from G2A, activated Windows with it and I was done. No trouble whatsoever
Right from the beginning, OEM Windows Keys requires, by the ToS, that you put the Certificate of Authenticity sticker on the computer. Except on websites like that, you just get a key, you don't get the CoA. So you're paying for a Windows license key that might working, but you're not even allowed to use it by the ToS. You might as well save money and pirate it at this point (not that I condone piracy, it's just not that much different, in both cases, you're using a Windows version you're not allowed to use). And whether you can build your own PC and be allowed to use an OEM key is already a grey area by itself, since Microsoft always been pretty vague about it.
I give less than 0 fucks about all this bullshit but just for shits and giggles 1. I have a legit (call it semi legit if you please) copy of windows for 12 fucking dollars and have never/will never need to call microsoft for jack shit. 2. you CAN use it to activate an already installed windows. and 3. for 12 dollars I never expected it to work for multiple systems and will gladly pay 12 more dollars yearssss down the road when I decide to build another new pc. for now, I'll take that $100+ I saved and throw it towards an SSD or something :)
Hardly exactly the same. For the price of lunch you don't have to worry about updates wiping your activation out, and you don't have to worry about malware hiding in whatever method you use. I'd much rather pay the $12 and not have to bother with all the bs.
No it doesn't at all. Microsoft Toolkit 2.5.3 and upwards activates Windows 10 with less effort than this method. Plus, it's free and is using a genuine installation. Windows ALWAYS updates as usual and even if (not that it ever happens) your activation gets revoked, you literally only have press "Activate" within Microsoft Toolkit again. You do need a key, though. For that, simply google "Windows 10 key". Yeah, that will work. It does not a full license, basically any key will work. Even one that's in use already. It doesn't matter.
This is piracy that you pay somebody money for. If you're going to get into piracy, you might as well do it properly and pay nothing rather than pay a shady gray market reseller for a pirated key. Zwenk Wiel put it perfectly: you're paying a fence to pirate it for you instead of pirating it yourself. Which, by the way, means you have exactly the same risk of updates wiping out your activation as if you had pirated it yourself. Should've spent that $12 on lunch instead.
I have purchased keys from kinguin without issue for years. Grey market is fine with me. Kinguin offers a warranty which I have used once, a key was rejected and they gave me another.
And how to know if that CDKey is not taken from keygen? Since windows accepts pretty much any key that fits their algorithm or whatever. Thats also how illegal activators works ( pretty much ).
from ebay you can get these keys with only 3$ and so far every single one has worked. Once the PC is connected to the internet and it has been confirmed it's there to stay.
Hmm... I'm in the middle of building my first pc. If I don't want to clone windows 7 I can just buy a cheap windows 10. This could be useful. Thank you.
I don't wanna upgrade my old pc's os, but I might wanna use a new os on the new pc. I strongly believe in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." So it's okay for me to get new stuff for the new build. However, I wonder if I clone windows 7 os onto the new pc's drive, would I be able to upgrade from 7 to 10 that way without affecting the old one.
if you do a fresh install of Win10, you can use the software key of your Win7 and it will work. Has something to do with when they had the free upgrade for the first year. Edit: after an update a while ago (don't remember when) the win7 bug I mentioned no longer works with the updated win10 installer
If SCDKey gets its keys from the same place as similar sites do, then they come from decommissioned PCs in Europe. Microsoft doesn't want you using those keys on other computers, but EU law says you CAN resell them, as long as the "donating" PC is no longer in use. This means those keys HAVE been used before, and you may need to make a phone call to Microsoft to get them to work. I have done this with keys purchased from similar sites. You usually don't have to talk to an actual person during that phone call, but if you do you just need to tell them the key is being used on a new PC that you just built or re-built. It's similar to what you sometimes have to do when you upgrade your motherboard and processor--since MS looks at that as an entirely new PC. There are a couple of things that you do need to be aware of: First, if you end up with an OEM key MS may not have to honor it. They were supposed to be sold with hardware only and I don't know what EU law has to say about that. Second, it's still breaking the EULA, and even though EU law says those keys can be resold, US law does not. That means if you're in the US and MS decides not to allow the key there's nothing you can do. I have never had this happen, but there's a chance.
You are mostly right. The bulk of the keys are bulk purchased, recyclers can't satisfy the market. Most of the ones I have installed are fresh OEM or volume licenses from bulk purchase and activate easily. You are correct that it breaks the EULA but Microsoft couldn't care less because they want market share and more people to data mine with Windows 10.
You do not need to call anyone. The licences are already deactivated, and no longer linked to the previous hardware they were used on. A simple click on the ACTIVATION button will suffice to enable your licence on your new hardware indefinately. Yes there are alot of scammers selling pirated licences, but if you buy from reputed sources you will be ok
Marius Munteanu I've had to call twice using these keys. It always works after that, but regular activation would not work because MS knows they've been used before on different hardware.
just like its cute seeing some random dude talk bullshit without backing it up? You give zero credence to your comments, other than to appear mightier than thou...
Leon Vollebregt if it's a free key it should be stolen because who in the world would steal a credit card and buy things and give them away it wouldn't make sense
$12 key is OEM version! OEM Versions of Windows 10 are identical to Full License Retail versions except for the following: - OEM versions do not offer any free Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support personnel - OEM licenses are tied to the very first computer you install and activate it on - OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard - OEM versions cannot be used to directly upgrade from an older Windows operating system
I recently built a new computer, put the installation media from Microsoft on a USB drive, then installed it... I selected that I didn't have a key (was going to buy one from eBay or something later). However to my surprise, I never saw the water mark on the bottom right... To confirm, I went into settings and it said it had been activated. Honestly I have no idea what happened, but hey, got a free copy of windows 10 out of it
It only starts showing after a few weeks of going unregistered. You also haven't tried using the personalize settings either then, those are blocked as well. You can't change your background, window colors, lock screen apps (like calendar), theme, start menu options, and taskbar options.
I'd still say you should always be cautious when using "gray market" keys. When I built my PC back in 2014, I bought a Windows 8.1 CD Key from g2a, then almost a year later, I had to buy a new key. I didn't want to deal with possibly getting another bad key, so I took a picture of my sister's college acceptance letter to get the student discount from Microsoft for 8.1 pro.
Bought mine from scdkey, had a bad key in the beginning but after talking to customer service I received a working key within minutes. Definitely recommend scdkey.
I had successfully upgraded to and activated windows 10 pro without a problem with my non legit windows 8.1 pro (which was upgraded from same non legit windows 7 key). All this coz ms was offering free upgrade at the time of release. Its been like 2 -3yrs?
So, let me get this straight: you get sponsored by this company, tell them you’re buying a Win10 key from them, and that you're going to be publishing the results on TH-cam. Don’t you think they’ll make sure _you_ get a genuine key, even if it’s the only one they have? What assurances are there that Joe Blow the ordinary non-TH-camr is going to get the same treatment? You should have signed in under a fake identity and seen if the key you got that time was also genuine.
I tried about 5 keys from different Ebay sellers, they all activated and have been working for months. Now for the weird part! I bought another key, fired up a Window 7 Desktop, went to the MS Windows download link that the seller suggested. Started the download and it started to install. I watched and clicked on everything I should....IT INSTALLED WIN 10 Home and ACTIVATED it WITHOUT my key!!! 2 weeks later, still activated, working fine and I STILL HAVE A WIN 10 PRO KEY!?!? Is MS starting to give it again slowly?
This is way better than pirate version. Worked fine on my pc after 2 years. I’ve upgraded my cpu and motherboard and it still work fine. Even if it doesnt work anymore just buy a new key for 10 bucks. Thats cheap af lol
Jimut Jayadev No its not. Those are just the lies they feed you, How do you think they are actually so cheap? They are either MSDN keys, volume install keys, etc or brought with stolen credit cards and using those keys breaks the ToS which makes them non legit keys that can be deactivated.
Took me about 5 minutes max to go through registering, logging in and filling out form for procuring Windows 10 Pro. Within a minute of submitting form I received my Windows 10 Pro Key. The installation went smoothly and all seems aboveboard with no error message associated with this upgrade. Officially activated and your discount code was accepted immediately on purchase. Thanks
I got a pirated version of windows 7, used one of those tools to trick it into thinking it was activated, and then windows gave me the "free upgrade to windows 10 for all windows 7 and 8 users during the first year of release"
I have don't have my windows 10 activated but it's completely usable. You just get some personalisation options and get rid of the watermark if you activate it.
I just bought a Windows 10 Pro OEM Key and it worked flawless. It did take about 15min for me to receive the key in my email from purchasing but that was the only struggle. I recommend. 3-27-19
Very good video, my friend. My hard drive just broke on my computer, and I really don't wanna spend a lot of money on a new OS, thank you! I decided to click the notification bell for you. :)
To get windows: Open you internet browser and type bestkey355 Hi there. Very helpful video! However, I have a question. When I boot up my laptop, my laptop isn't able to read my brand new SSD. I already tried different solutions like downloading the F6 drivers into USB drive, initialize the brand new SSD on different computer. However, none of them work. What can I do please?
👆👆👆 Windows 10 $14 Visually, the two are quite different, but there are also other under-the-hood changes that set the next generation of Windows apart from the current generation. You probably have questions about whether you should upgrade, and we have you covered with this look at all the differences between the two
This site may sell keys that work, but I have many doubts about where they get them. They probably get them from an illegal source of they would be running a loss with their company. Idk about this one.
One of my professors was a Microsoft certified teacher or something and he could get windows 10 keys for his students for like $5. To this day I still hit him up when I need one. I'm sure they use something like this and still make a profit.
ikus2011 It's probably poeple buying loads of keys woth stolen credit cards, then the credit card owner contects the company for his money back, but the keys are still out there and working. That's when they get sold for such a low price. They do this with video games aswell.
The reason for price difference is the licensing. This one, most probably is an OEM license. I’ve bought two of them and both work. With OEM license you cannot change your motherboard (or sometimes even hard drive, I don’t remember exactly). With the standard license that comes with $200 version, you can use it on different PCs, but only one will remain active at a single time. PS: There’s also a more expensive 5 PC license.
From what I've expected recently the motherboard is the item it pairs with. Hard drive seems ok. Just did an equipment swap around with a new board and it wanted a new key. I upgraded the hard drive a while ago with a fresh install and that went smoothly with the same key.
Those are OEM keys, which the PC or Laptop manufacturing brands use on their machines, they get in bulk so they are also cheap and only catch is these keys are locked to a specific configuration of hardware once they are installed on. Later if we have to replace some hardware in the system, then the key might be null and void. Also such keys once used on a particular machine cannot be installed on other machines.
They are tied usually to the motherboard. You can change other things but you can't use the key on a different mb. You'll need a new one. I got mine from scdkey almost 2 years ago and it works as supposed, so all good there.
Ok so what these keys are, they are usually one of 2 things: They can either be cracked, aka they did the pirating for you and now youre paying for illegitimate software OR they are something called a KMS key which are sold for corporations and such for cheaper when they buy them in bulk, BUT they need a Key Management Server (which is not hosted by microsoft like OEM keys are) so you run the risk of that KMS going down and suddenly your key can't validate itself anymore.
I once had a KMS key and it went down after like 9 months of use and it was a pain in the ass to deal with, but now I atleast have more experience on what the different keys mean and how this cheap windows license market works
They are either OEM or volume licenses, I know because I have installed plenty and have checked some of them. I have keys activated over two years ago that work fine. Also kracking or what was actually phishing keys from Microsoft servers hasn't been a thing since Windows 7.
Interesting - will be curious to see if these keys are permanent licenses or they will expire after some random period of months (as with other sellers). Look forward to your thoughts!
Sorry for the wall of text, but as a long time fan and system builder I just had to let it out, because this video is a betrayal to the name "Science Studio". "Does this method work?" Yes. I am writing this on a Win 10 machine activated with a $3 Ebay key two years ago. Microsoft issues massive rolls of OEM keys to companies like Dell and HP, and special non-retail keys to orgs like schools and tech companies. Since there are so many keys, it's hard for MS to keep track of all of them, thus often you can use these keys to activate fresh installations of Windows 10. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE FOLLOWING GREG'S ADVISE: Third parties selling Windows keys for cheaper than RRP are nothing new, like Kinguin, G2A, or eBay and they come with risks. There are key technical and ethical differences to buying an OEM/Special key from a TP and buying a Retail key from MS: --MS does not make a cent from your transaction with TP. You are not supporting the developer. --TP is not issuing the keys with MS's permission. --OEM keys are issued by OEM manufacturers who provide technical support to end users, don't expect any help from MS. --These keys are technically non-transferrable and are actively sought and deactivated by MS. --If Microsoft deactivates your illegitimate key, you are at the mercy of the TP. Greg claims that SCDKey is different and more 'legit, trust me', but there are spelling/grammar mistakes in their About Us? I can't find anything on their website that really shines above the rest. Please tell me I'm missing something? Dear Greg, I get this is paid promotion, but I felt you could have done a few things differently, because the video came across as dishonest. I was disappointed that: --You introed this shillshow as a windows 10 install howto. --You claimed this website is different from all the others when in your heart you know it's just cause they're paying you. --You were not imaginative. You could have taken a completely different creative direction to avoid making silly claims (like tell us how to install windows 10??? :) --The values you espose in your eBay, Craigslist, and Apple Experiment videos of analysing all the info and making an informed decision are nowhere to be seen. I would love to hear your feedback. Yours Faithfully, Long time fan
These keys are almost certainly not designed or intended to be used or sold this way. This along with Pauls Windows 10 Kinguin video are much less than honest. These are clearly keys obtained illegally and resold illegally (at minimum in the United States).
I used scdkey and had no issues aside from having to extend my system partition and still no issues. My only gripe is with Windows 10 april update 1803 itself, it chews up RAM like jack black chews up scenery and has a lot of instability with DX11+ applications
Yeh , Ive put off doing the April update "just incase" , things go down hill or terribly wrong . Those Intel flaws are not helping either . Thx Zap guess I'll wait to update . ;)
I've been on the Windows Insider preview line and I've had no instability issues. The only programs I have that eat up my RAM are chrome and MS Edge. Everything else is behaving normally. Try reinstalling the crashy apps or factory reset?
Mil Man the way the new update stores activity in RAM appears to be the issue, I limit my page file to a fairly small amount to avoid slow memory issues (I only have 8gb ddr4 because it's so expensive right now and my APU uses about 2.9 of that at all times) the instability issues seem to be due to available RAM and possibly overclocks? I could try a factory reset I suppose and hope that fixes it, i try to avoid too many read/write operations because I have an expensive m.2 ssd
@Zap, SSD's have a finite but very large pool of write cycles available, there really is no need to limit your read/write cycles to preserve them honestly. with 8gb ram installed with an apu pulling 2.9gb at all times I can about guarantee your issue is with the ram being limited to a lil over 5gb instead of the full 8gb, I'd really suggest biting the bullet and getting a 16gb kit and calling it a day. My OS SSD is a sata 3 6gb/s and has an estimated 5 years left of life and I bought it 4 years ago, my very first SSD from 2011 still has over 95% health left as well. I upgraded to the windows 1803 build a couple days ago and I have had zero issues with it, it has actually increased my system's responsiveness in some cases. Specs: Ryzen 5 1600X OC'd to 3.9ghz Gigabyte A-B350-Gaming 3 motherboard 16gb G-Skill Aegis DDR4 3000 Asus R9 270X 4gb GPU OC'd from 1120/1400 to 1180/1480 (its basically a factory overclocked, rebranded radeon HD7870)
My pc uses 1.4 gb of ram when idleing and around 5 gb when in chrome while on the april update, my ram speed is ddr3 1866 mhz by gskill ripjaws X cl 9. In games the highest it went up was 9.5 gb of ram, i play at high setting in 1440p with a gtx 1070 and a i7 4790k
Youre surprised that scdkey.com said theyd be OK with you testing their key and only publishing the video (and taking their money) if the key worked? Youre surprised they were OK with taking no risk at all? Really?
Thanks! You code worked for my purchase of the Windows 10 Home OEM key, Science Studio. It recognizes my custom built desktop PC well! Thank you so much!
I've used Keys like this from Kinguin for 5 builds a d they work every time. ALTHOUGH, I would be take this one step further after activation. Yes, it's a pain in the A!# but create a Microsoft account and link your account to your activation key. Reason I say this is, I bought a key similar to this one, from Kinguin. Worked fine, but the PC I was working in ran into problems so I had to reinstall windows. I used the same key and it didn't work. After trying multiple ways to reactivate the key using Microsoft phone service I called and spoke to someone. They said the key had already been used more than the alloted number of times on multiple systems. So my best guess with is, these keys sold on sites like these are sold multiple times. Yes your purchase may be guaranteed, but take the extra step.
this is a whole lot of misleading and not enough information given all these keys sold on 3rd party sites are not OEM nor FPP licences, but extra keys leftovers from volume licences sold to companies/corporations before buying one of these keys you should know that one day out of the blue the key you bought might be invalidated by MS without a notification, the reason behind that is the companies do an audit of their resources and will remove that what's not in use
pretty normal price over here in the EU. We have an rule established by the EU that OEM versions of Operating systems and other software are not allowed to be hardware locked. additionally Companies have to allow people that they can resell their OEM licenses if they want to. So you have a large supply with perfectly legal OEM keys for large variaty of (normally very expensive) software, including Windows, Bluray-Software and Burning suits.
Windows 10 is Free... Using a key just removes an "Activate Windows" watermark and a couple of personalization settings that you can most definitely live without. Its faded af, so I dont notice the watermark at all when in-game.(and out of game, for that matter)
Those are oem keys, the sellers got the windows copyes from disposed laptops old mobos with original keys stuff idnt know its stupid but its same as of you where geting your key from your old lenovo dual core windows 10 key
25baam I don't buy the recycled laptops story because there are not enough of those to satisfy the market, though keys like this are bulk purchased legally from Microsoft and are either OEM or volume licenses. I have installed some that are over two years old and still working great.
Adam W weell its like w/e who cares as long as those work bcause i just bouht it for the windowsdefender, i lost already something precious using windows 10 kms+ kaspersky, now with windows defender+malwarebytes almost 3 years and no problems
+Adam W A windows 7 pro key, will work on windows 10 pro install. Same with all the other editions. windows 7 came out in 2009, I'd say it's more plausible then you think.
You think the key will still be valid a month after purchasing the key? i am almost done with getting the parts of my new build but it won't be done til next month. wanna know if i can purchase now and activate next month. thanks :)
You actually can use keys for windows 7, to activate windows 10, you just need to use key for windows 7 in activation box, alredy used like 4 or 5 keys for windows 7 (even OEM ones from laptops) with random pc's, worked every time.
Hey just something you should know: on the activation screen it said “linked with Microsoft account” so if you signed in to an old account it may be registering the PC as that. Maybe try signing out of the MS account to double check?
Science Studio good to know. Are you going to do a follow up vid in a few months to reaffirm what you have already discussed? A friend did this one time and said that his PC worked fine at first and then became deactivated 3-4 months after purchasing the key, although when I looked at the website he got it from it looked a lot more sketchy than scdkey.com
you can only get it via link because their search bar is broken lol heres the link www.scdkey.com/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-cd-key-global_1227-20.html i think there is a windows 10 home version but I can't find it :(
Thanks, I was about to comment I saw window pro retail activation key for 5 pcs a month ago for 32 dollars. My Pay Pal paid to someone in Chinese writing I couldn't even read "for the other stuff" I bought so I left the insane deals alone after that. :)
Whats the diference with cracked windows 10 like using a key activator or actualy buying a key ? Am i getting more stuff or its the same , i really need some help
So I built a new system last night, and had recently seen this video. I gave it a try and I really couldn't believe it worked. Not sure how they get their keys for so cheap but I'll take it lol
I wonder if the key will stop working someday, when Microsoft tries to blacklist these keys, it's still unclear where is the source of these keys came from
OH and if you install windows on a NEW pc, (saying that you have bought windows or the key before), all you have to do is long is with your microsoft account and windows is automatically activated due to a link with your account. Never have to pay more than once. I found this out the hard way
When I built my Ryzen machine, my older Windows 10 Pro retail key failed to activate no matter what steps I took (and that machine wasn't built/working any more). After rebuilding an older Intel-based machine with a similar configuration to the last machine that had that older product key, it activated on that Intel machine but never on the Ryzen. I purchased a new copy of Windows 10 Pro for my Ryzen machine but at least that older key still worked on an Intel machine. I tried removing that older key from my account, contacting Microsoft, using that open to try it again that everyone talks about in various videos... nothing worked. As Linus said in a recent video on the matter, you can only activate these keys so many times.
Yea, i moved from a old prebuilt pc to a ryzen build and it activated fine, but when that one broke from my own doing, i made a new pc after saving and it would not activate no matter what i tried, it said the version o windows on my other machine was not compatible, so i bought a key from this site, and when i entered the key, i swear i was closing my eyes and praying it wasn't a scam. BUT it worked out perfectly and i was relieved.
One of my professors was a Microsoft certified teacher or something and he could get windows 10 keys for his students for like $5. To this day I still hit him up when I need one. I'm sure they use something like this and still make a profit.
Thank You so Much Man!! I started to get sick at looking at the Windows not activated watermark it drove me insane, as well as the fact of knowing that i did not have it activated irritated me. Used to promo code, worked like a charm.
From what I was told. Microsoft sells a butt load of licenses to big business owners. Scdkey gets these keys some how, and then sells them for cheap. Either way they make money off of oem keys.
@@Dwayneff small chance those are all business, its mostly "carded" people use stolen CC info to buy keys and resell them for quick profit so it wont get traced back to them.
As far as i know OEM keys are really bad for upgrading pc parts, unlike an official user paid key if you swap out any parts you'll have to buy Windows again or so ive heard.
I'm not liking this. Just link your Microsoft account to your PC, and your license follows you even after upgrades to the machine. This is probably pirated keys.
OEM keys dudes, do some research. Not pirated, but sold by Microsoft to manufacturers to be installed on their machines. Probably the manufacturers had too many and resell them to this keyseller: normally Asus, or others, buy them for 3 bucks or less....
Manlio Cipullo No. This site is essentially G2A. They resell keys from other parties. They don't ask where the keys come from. Somebody is getting fucked on these "deals" and if it isn't you, remember someone else is paying the difference somewhere. Why do you think an OEM would be selling off excess keys? Keys like that are dealt with just like volume licensing. Working in IT, you'll see volume licensing and how that works.
It depends on the manufacturer you are speaking about, there are big manufacturer, and smaller... But they got the same service by Microsoft, they buy OEM keys and install them on their machines... When i worked for a company to build pc with our lineup, we were buying stock number of licenses once a year, but they were often more than the pc we assembled. At that time we just used to give the excess to friends or a bonus one to the customers... So i could not be surprised if some of these manufacturers (more or less the smallest) resell them to some sites or are just using the G2A or other key seller to sell directly (i clearly remember one time on g2a more than one source of sellers).
Microsoft provide ISO’s for free without activation keys. The only drawback is without it being activated you can’t change your desktop backroad and after an hour a watermark pops up in the corner.
As great as this may seem for getting a cheap key, if you look under the surface it is shady (The website isn't shady, users are.) If you want to see what I mean this video touches on another key distribution site. th-cam.com/video/DaQEBFu9Whs/w-d-xo.html But then again windows sucks so killing windows might be a good thing.
Just 2 comments above yours is a user who wrote "scdkey doesn't have a single windows 10 product on its site now". Someone named " explodingHat19" posted this URL as a reply, the same day as you :) www.scdkeys.com/software/microsoft-pc-10-pro-oem_1227-20.html
it's OEM, and you can use it only once. Don't buy it for this price, it's worth like 5-8 bucks. This guy is a fucking ignorant asshole for comparing it with retail key price
I like these sites and they save me alot of money. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the sellers use stolen credit cards alot of the time. At least that's what happens on g2a.
Yup, they do. Or its MSDN keys, volume install keys, etc. You can buy stolen credit cards on the darkweb and buy Windows keys and resell for them cheap, its a good way to a launder money.
These keys are either OEM or volume licenses and are bulk purchased legally from Microsoft directly by an authorized buyer. I know because I have installed plenty, have checked them, and have never had a problem with them in over two years. It's a total myth that these are retail keys purchased from stolen credit cards because it's not worth a criminals time to compete against these cheap OEM keys.
Will it make a difference if you insert a key to a already installed windows 10 free by going into the settings and doing it there or will it not accept it there?
I disagree with you calling a brick useless
LOL pick it up & throw it... Not useless anymore.
At least she's pretty.
I mean, you can boot to bios setup, so that's cool
What about Gigabyte Brix?
Agreed, bricks aren't useless. If you want useless, look at a Mac.

Alright, alright. Chill out Eminem.
Bought one, was already in use, they said it was my problem = scam
I've bought mine from eBay and it seems legit activation key. The remaining question is, how come?
Simple Microsoft makes way more money harvesting your data and selling it then they make off windows, they know this is happening they don't care
they are keys lifted from old pre built machines i think
Might be a volume key. Meaning these are free keys that can expire.
Ive done this a couple of times, no problems. Beats piracy.
Hardly exactly the same. For the price of lunch you don't have to worry about updates wiping your activation out, and you don't have to worry about malware hiding in whatever method you use. I'd much rather pay the $12 and not have to bother with all the bs.
Exactly, now $0 is cheaper than $20, but there are many people out there who don't wanna do piracy but have no choice. This might help.
Zwenk Wiel ehi look, I'm a thief and I am proud of it!
Bricks are quite useful without an operating system from what I hear.
Or a one by one
@@sherpafan033 Or a big fat wall down south!
Got my key from eBay... So far so good.......
Same. Bought mine almost 2 years ago. Definitely worth a shot for anyone wanting to save money.
Yup, me too and also I bought keys for my friends. Working fine.
Same, Bought mine months ago. It's perfectly working 👌
Adrian Lopez do you need a graphics card to see anything on your monitor?
from ebay you can get these keys with only 3$ and so far every single one has worked. Once the PC is connected to the internet and it has been confirmed it's there to stay.
Hmm... I'm in the middle of building my first pc. If I don't want to clone windows 7 I can just buy a cheap windows 10. This could be useful. Thank you.
I was able to use my Win7 key to fuly activate Win10. Maybe try that before you buy another copy of windows.
Buy on ebay, way cheaper
if you do a fresh install of Win10, you can use the software key of your Win7 and it will work. Has something to do with when they had the free upgrade for the first year.
Edit: after an update a while ago (don't remember when) the win7 bug I mentioned no longer works with the updated win10 installer
Or buy a Windows 7 key.
There are a couple of things that you do need to be aware of:
First, if you end up with an OEM key MS may not have to honor it.
It's cute watching all the random bullshit spewed by people who have never worked for Microsoft and think they know what's going on.
just like its cute seeing some random dude talk bullshit without backing it up? You give zero credence to your comments, other than to appear mightier than thou...
$12 is pricy!
i activated It with $5.7
hahahaha you never put $ after the value.
You can do it for $0 if you use KMS Pico 😂
Leon Vollebregt that's illegal
So windows license's payd with stolen credit cards aren't iligeal?
Leon Vollebregt if it's a free key it should be stolen because who in the world would steal a credit card and buy things and give them away it wouldn't make sense
Ive purchased 3 keys online for windows from 3 seperate venders including scdkey. All of which gave me errors stating that the key was already in use.
$12 key is OEM version!
OEM Versions of Windows 10 are identical to Full License Retail versions except for the following:
- OEM versions do not offer any free Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support personnel
- OEM licenses are tied to the very first computer you install and activate it on
- OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
- OEM versions cannot be used to directly upgrade from an older Windows operating system
Accidentally bought OEM Windows 10. Good thing I got a badass motherboard that won't need future updates for a long while.
Sam its gonna last 7 days after it you are gonna see it bolded
watermark shows after a week or so
What happens if you just use it without ever activating ?
No it comes back. I have Windows 10 demo version.
You should have signed in under a fake identity and seen if the key you got that time was also genuine.
bro its not that complicated it works dam
he probably did use an alternate identity
I bought a key, applied the discount code and it works.
Agreed, pops.
People have used this link and have been scammed.
I can’t find the windows 10 key WTH is it just not on their website anymore?
Look on other websites but make sure they are legit
Go on ebay and get one from any company in England.
R I had to go on it using tech deals link . Got it for a tenner
I've used this for about a year.. No problem here.. And i buy the key for like 8$ .. So just go for it!
Gave this a try and it worked! auto-upgraded from win 10 home to pro. thanks for the discount code!!
funny, I was just needing a Windows Key. thought it was an ad that was tracking what I was doing, but you just published it.
2 years later... do they not offer windows anymore?
This is way better than pirate version. Worked fine on my pc after 2 years. I’ve upgraded my cpu and motherboard and it still work fine. Even if it doesnt work anymore just buy a new key for 10 bucks. Thats cheap af lol
sbcontt YT its not piracy, its an oem key that system integrators use. its not a retail key
Jimut is right, this is the stuff that companies like Dell and Hp get, they don't pay full price, they get a OEM discount.
Do one better and buy the retail version and use it over and over for a few bucks more, the retail key doesn't lock to the motherboard bios
Jimut Jayadev
No its not. Those are just the lies they feed you, How do you think they are actually so cheap? They are either MSDN keys, volume install keys, etc or brought with stolen credit cards and using those keys breaks the ToS which makes them non legit keys that can be deactivated.
if it doesn't work anymore just contact microsoft and they'll give you a new one. it's how i got my win 10 pro key
Thanks
Anybody else notice you can only get Windows keys from them through a link? Go try to search for it on their website, nothing. Seems suspicious.
pfff...ive been activating it FOR FREE for the last 20 years

Yup did the same with my old Core 2 Quad PC... Still working fine to this day.
you are cool
Way to be a pirate from 10 years ago 👍
I have don't have my windows 10 activated but it's completely usable. You just get some personalisation options and get rid of the watermark if you activate it.
Dominik Kužila I use it like that too, the watermark annoys me but it is FREEEE
Lol just get a 5$ liscence you cheapos
Under a bridge too far Do those windows 10 licences on ebay work? I was wondering about getting one.
Yeah they do, if it's a OEM you can only activate it on 1 motherboard (machine/computer) tho but yes and defenitly worth it

Hi there. Very helpful video! However, I have a question. When I boot up my laptop, my laptop isn't able to read my brand new SSD. I already tried different solutions like downloading the F6 drivers into USB drive, initialize the brand new SSD on different computer. However, none of them work. What can I do please?

Visually, the two are quite different, but there are also other under-the-hood changes that set the next generation of Windows apart from the current generation. You probably have questions about whether you should upgrade, and we have you covered with this look at all the differences between the two
used them for windows server 2016 standard... worked PERFECTLY.. will be using them for everything now
I go on SCD Keys web page and cannot find the windows keys to purchase. Anyone else going experiencing this.
So the key is sold illegally. That's like selling a TechNet key.
ikus2011 It's probably poeple buying loads of keys woth stolen credit cards, then the credit card owner contects the company for his money back, but the keys are still out there and working. That's when they get sold for such a low price. They do this with video games aswell.
The site has no mention of Windows 10 keys now... perhaps they ran out
yeah man i just looked them up and it said no results, that's a little sus
Hot Boy Harry there on g2a
The reason for price difference is the licensing.
Oh that actually makes sense
Those are OEM keys, which the PC or Laptop manufacturing brands use on their machines, they get in bulk so they are also cheap and only catch is these keys are locked to a specific configuration of hardware once they are installed on. Later if we have to replace some hardware in the system, then the key might be null and void. Also such keys once used on a particular machine cannot be installed on other machines.
They are tied usually to the motherboard. You can change other things but you can't use the key on a different mb. You'll need a new one. I got mine from scdkey almost 2 years ago and it works as supposed, so all good there.
Thanks brother, it worked!! I watched many video but only this worked!!
Ahhh. So that is why a netbook I had suddenly lost it's license.
Look forward to your thoughts!
did it expire ?
Did it expire?
Ok, it works... But why so cheap...
Did the codes fall from a truck or something?
Beethoven Dalmao
Well, apparently they take used keys from old OEM machines, and claim to 'repurpose' them.
Yes. Its OEM keys. I got mine for $2 only.
Amir Zharif you paid for pirated products.
NazmusLabs nope. Its basically just the same as the one shown in this vid. But in my place, we got seller selling them them at so much cheaper price.
Amir Zharif the key is illegal.
went to the website and they no longer offer the windows installer.
@Varicoses is that site safe to use?
Worked for me. Been about a week and running strong ! Windows 10 Pro ! , thanks again !
Sorry for the wall of text, but as a long time fan and system builder I just had to let it out, because this video is a betrayal to the name "Science Studio".
"Does this method work?"
Yes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE FOLLOWING GREG'S ADVISE:
Third parties selling Windows keys for cheaper than RRP are nothing new, like Kinguin, G2A, or eBay and they come with risks.
There are key technical and ethical differences to buying an OEM/Special key from a TP and buying a Retail key from MS:
--MS does not make a cent from your transaction with TP.
Dear Greg,
I get this is paid promotion, but I felt you could have done a few things differently, because the video came across as dishonest.
I was disappointed that:
--You introed this shillshow as a windows 10 install howto.
--You claimed this website is different from all the others when in your heart you know it's just cause they're paying you.
--You were not imaginative. You could have taken a completely different creative direction to avoid making silly claims (like tell us how to install windows 10??? :)
--The values you espose in your eBay, Craigslist, and Apple Experiment videos of analysing all the info and making an informed decision are nowhere to be seen.
I would love to hear your feedback.
Yours Faithfully,
Long time fan
Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600X OC'd to 3.9ghz
Gigabyte A-B350-Gaming 3 motherboard
16gb G-Skill Aegis DDR4 3000
Asus R9 270X 4gb GPU OC'd from 1120/1400 to 1180/1480 (its basically a factory overclocked, rebranded radeon HD7870)
Really?
it worked for me like a charm, i do see your point though.
So if i have a computer already built with windows installed but not activated can I get a key from here and slap in on to activate windows?
Thanks! You code worked for my purchase of the Windows 10 Home OEM key, Science Studio. It recognizes my custom built desktop PC well! Thank you so much!
the site doesn't seem to be working, when I try to search it in scdkey dot com or follow the link in the description, it just stays in the page.
xyoopridex same
I've used Keys like this from Kinguin for 5 builds a d they work every time.
Yes your purchase may be guaranteed, but take the extra step.
this is a whole lot of misleading and not enough information given
all these keys sold on 3rd party sites are not OEM nor FPP licences, but extra keys leftovers from volume licences sold to companies/corporations
before buying one of these keys you should know that one day out of the blue the key you bought might be invalidated by MS without a notification, the reason behind that is the companies do an audit of their resources and will remove that what's not in use
pretty normal price over here in the EU.
"I don't know where they get the keys from, but they work and that's all a consumer needs to worry about". Ever heard of the G2a dumpster fire?

A windows 7 pro key, will work on windows 10 pro install. Same with all the other editions. windows 7 came out in 2009, I'd say it's more plausible then you think.
they are fully legeit there are many companies that pay for a set amount of keys to programs and nbuy them in bulk to sell on that is all these are.
I logged into my personal account after the fact and the system remained activated.
Of course I will :-)
I had the same comment but I'm glad you already answered the question. Looking forward to that follow up video! Great work
W10 Pro keys no longer available. So, scam?!
you can only get it via link because their search bar is broken lol heres the link www.scdkey.com/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-cd-key-global_1227-20.html i think there is a windows 10 home version but I can't find it :(
I've bought it for 2 euros on ebay
@@Drillusion I still need a key for regular windows

thank you, i uses the search option and the only thing that was appearing was final fantasy
No problem
Thanks, I was about to comment I saw window pro retail activation key for 5 pcs a month ago for 32 dollars. My Pay Pal paid to someone in Chinese writing I couldn't even read "for the other stuff" I bought so I left the insane deals alone after that. :)
Save your money and get a key on ebay for under $4
Whats the diference with cracked windows 10 like using a key activator or actualy buying a key ?
Am i getting more stuff or its the same , i really need some help
How do they get them for so cheap? Seems a little sketchy.
When I do a search for windows on scdkey.com I get "Sorry, no results!"
Me too
So I built a new system last night, and had recently seen this video. I gave it a try and I really couldn't believe it worked. Not sure how they get their keys for so cheap but I'll take it lol
They get their keys from varying places of legality. From buying bulk excess OEM keys from manufacturers to theft
Does it still work?
many youtubers got some serious flak for promoting similar sites; like g2a or kinguin
Where's the link for making a boot drive for a new PC build?
I wonder if the key will stop working someday, when Microsoft tries to blacklist these keys, it's still unclear where is the source of these keys came from
OH and if you install windows on a NEW pc, (saying that you have bought windows or the key before), all you have to do is long is with your microsoft account and windows is automatically activated due to a link with your account. Never have to pay more than once. I found this out the hard way
Lol
Didn't work on my ryzen build
My old windows 7 Pro code worked for Windows 10 Pro
Probably money laundering/stolen credit cards. But as you said as a consumer that's not our problem :D
me
Yeah plus microsoft still makes a ton of money...
One of my professors was a Microsoft certified teacher or something and he could get windows 10 keys for his students for like $5. To this day I still hit him up when I need one. I'm sure they use something like this and still make a profit.
TheIr web page is hard to find your way around all you get is game adverts when you look for another OS?
Thank You so Much Man!! I started to get sick at looking at the Windows not activated watermark it drove me insane, as well as the fact of knowing that i did not have it activated irritated me. Used to promo code, worked like a charm.

I use that exact usb stick for my windows installations...
But u cant u need minimum of 8 gb lol
@@duranolmez7633 "2 years ago", I hope you do realize windows gets updated quite frequently.
@@rivenissmart Lmao diddnt think you would react
But how do they make it so cheap???
From what I was told. Microsoft sells a butt load of licenses to big business owners. Scdkey gets these keys some how, and then sells them for cheap. Either way they make money off of oem keys.
@@Dwayneff small chance those are all business, its mostly "carded" people use stolen CC info to buy keys and resell them for quick profit so it wont get traced back to them.
As far as i know OEM keys are really bad for upgrading pc parts, unlike an official user paid key if you swap out any parts you'll have to buy Windows again or so ive heard.
@@Vivi_Strike not true
@@Vivi_Strike OEM Keys are tied to the MoBo. Swap the MoBo; You need a new key.
So will the windows 10 pro key work if i already have the windows 10 home activated??. I am just looking to upgrade to pro for cheap!!
Thank you.
After buying my windows key , 3 days later it took another 14$ off my card . Any idea why?
As of November Window 10 has been pulled from the store. Should just take this video down.
?
Yeah, its gone alright!!! scdkey doesn't have a single windows 10 product on its site now
I just bought a copy 8 days ago. You might want to take your comment down.
Just tried right now and typed in Windows and zero results came up. How did you get one from www.SCDKey.com ?
I've always used kinguin.net. Basically the same thing.
We'll see in 3 months. 😅👌
it will work just fine. key is linked with ms account.
I have one since late 2016 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Windows is my worst enemy.
Apple? lol?
Microsoft provide ISO’s for free without activation keys. The only drawback is without it being activated you can’t change your desktop backroad and after an hour a watermark pops up in the corner.
There are currently zero Windows 10 listings on SCDKEY.
I bought mine for $3 on Ebay.
Metarortiz does it have a watermark?
As great as this may seem for getting a cheap key, if you look under the surface it is shady (The website isn't shady, users are.) If you want to see what I mean this video touches on another key distribution site.

But then again windows sucks so killing windows might be a good thing.

what if i dont have a windwos system, how would i download windows program into a usb drive from like a mac or something
How many times you could use the Key? I had my PC crashed and need to re-install Win10
So what's the catch?
it's OEM, and you can use it only once. Don't buy it for this price, it's worth like 5-8 bucks.
This guy is a fucking ignorant asshole for comparing it with retail key price
no catch don't listen to other noobs, only microsoft gets fucked
ehhh oh well i payed 5 bucks more, no big deal. AT LEAST IT ISN'T FUCKING 200 DOLLARS
You can get windows 10 pro keys for like $5 on eBay lmao.
Ye lol hey we got same name :)
It's a total myth that these are retail keys purchased from stolen credit cards because it's not worth a criminals time to compete against these cheap OEM keys.
im in canada, so if i buy the key thats labeled US, will it still work for me? I don't see a canadian option in the website
Will it make a difference if you insert a key to a already installed windows 10 free by going into the settings and doing it there or will it not accept it there?
