@@jeremyjudkins haha, how funny I'm a pizza lover and I don't have a Tesla yet but I always put my pizza and garlic knots in my trunk especially to avoid smells of garlic inside my cabin 😜 Oh and I understand people looking at you funny haha they do to me as well 😂

This is the most informative video about owning a model 3 that I have seen! My car will be delivered within the next 2 weeks and there’s so much I do not know about the car. Even at the Tesla store, the sales people treat me like I’m an idiot whenever I go there to see the car and ask questions. You’re mention of those ashes made me think of my Dad who loved Apple pie. I collected his ashes putting the container in a carrier bag, then on the way home bought groceries among them an apple pie which went in the same bag, he would have been amused, I know I was!

@@Quick-- Erm, it's OK. It has "quirks". Some things that you woudl expect to work (like auto high beam) just don't It's not as clever, tech wise, as people think it is. That being said it's really fun to drive and comfortable enough for long journeys. Also some people complain about wind noise. I've not had a problem and I came from an extremely quite car. Would I recommend? Not quite. but, it was a very very good EV

I ordered my Tesla Model 3 on November 14th and I didn’t order FSD either. I work in a tech software company and know that it’s never a good idea to prepay for tech software. I have full confidence it will be available in the future, but not being able to transfer the software license in case of accident is discouraging. I don’t mind paying more in the future once it is FSD level 5.

I have a question concerning the regenerative braking:
We have the audi E-tron. With the etron you can either do one pedal driving, or you can use your brake as usual. Only thing is, that when you press the brake, the car regenerates instead of using the actual brakes. So is there a way you can "sail" (not use regenerative braking, just roll out) when you let off the accelerator, and use the reg. braking when pressing the brake pedal?

Yes! In a recent update, Tesla released the ability to slow to a complete stop. Once stopped, the vehicle will hold its position, even on a hill. I very rarely even have to use my brakes, thanks to this recent feature.
I keep my Tesla on standard regen, which slows the car a little faster than the low regen option. I also do not use “creep mode” which most other cars automatically have. When I don’t have my foot on the accelerator, I don’t want my car to go anywhere like most other cars do.

Although most of the features shown have been implemented in other cars before (apart from the gimmicky game stuff) (e.g. mercedes had automatic lane change before tesla) I can't think of any other cars in this price range that have all of them - impressive!

@Aran Miller- Miller's right...windshield fluid with bug remover can gunk up the cameras. Distilled water with a cup of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol works and won't freeze easily, though you might want to keep a squeegee in the frunk to clean the bugs off your glass when stopping at a supercharger for long trips...just came back from a 3k mile through the Midwest and the water/alcohol wasn't enough to clean bug splatter.

One tip instead would be to put non-freezing wiper fluid in. Nothing like driving from AZ to CO to find out the fluid in your particular car freezes instantly to your windshield.

Exactly right. My windshield is one of very few with no dirty corners where the wipers don’t reach. Only rarely do I ever even need my wipers, thanks to Rain X.
It doesn’t even interfere with Autopilot, like others have claimed.

I park in my work’s parking garage and often get fogged up. It’s not underground like yours but very humid.
I’ve considered trying the RainX anti fog on the interior glass but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
I’ve read that the big water droplets that occur when you’re not moving and using RainX can effectively block the three forward eyes under the windshield. Untreated windshields seem to allow the water to streak down which apparently isn’t as big a problem for the forward eyes.
Still, I’ve never had a problem yet and I’m a RainX fiend! Navigation on Autopilot usually becomes unavailable in rainy weather whether or not RainX is used although I have a feeling that its reliability is improved with RainX just because at speed, the windshield remains so much clearer.
My 1996 Buick has those same windshield wipers 😎 I’m trying to upgrade to a Tesla within the next 5 years :)

2 additional things I'm sure you know but are worth mention are that there are very nice wheels behind the hubcaps and the inboard maps will show all tesla chargers as well as super chargers. Great video J!!

It may be too late, but spray on paint sealant used by detailers will keep your seats white because they won't let stains soak in. Any dirt, just wipe off with soap and water.

Does model 3 base model.have defogger for front windshield and rear windshield defogger..on most gas we do just want to confirm.becaudee it helps when your internal windshield fogged up
