If you hear occasional crackling noises throughout this video - don't worry, you're not going crazy! I tried everything I could to fix it in post, but it seems some crackling noises still came through in the final upload :( Sorry!
@@destroything it was my PC having too many USB connections directly to the mother board, so my audio interface must have gotten a lower priority or something. It’s okay Polyjford to only be human! I really appreciate this tutorial, I’ve really been looking forward to it this whole time!!! This old lady will need to rewatch things a few times, but I aim to create a visual to go with a Japanese folk song 😆
@Polyfjord Hi, is it fine for you if I use this add-on for a Musical movie? Of course, I would create my own style. Are you fine with using it in other TH-cam movies or short cinematics?
@Polyfjord i'm a formally trained CGI artist, now retired after 30 years. I still follow the technology as it has come so far since we were adding a flying camera to CAD files in the early 90's If I was still animating, I'd sign up immediately. You have a very easy to follow style and a chill relaxed presence so i could watch your vids for hours. One of the most impressive "from scratch" creations i have seen. Very nicely done!!
9:40 You don’t necessarily need to make your own MIDI files (I never have, lol). You can usually just search for the song you want + 'MIDI,' or there are websites and Discord servers with communities that share MIDI files. But in that case, you can still edit the MIDI, like removing note tracks you don’t want, changing the BPM, and so on!
Nice!! Good point my friend. Would love to see some insight into how you’re making your legendary videos!! Although totally respect if you prefer keeping things under wraps too! Cheers mate
@@Polyfjord Yeah, preferably I’d rather not talk too much about the making of my videos, but I believe you could easily manage it. It’s basically dynamic animation with a camera parented to an empty that follows the ball. The rest is just the effort of manipulating dynamic movement by changing the angles of the instruments. By the way, I'm a fan! I saw one of your videos teaching how to create a fireball, and I took that and used it in one of my videos! It turned out pretty cool, lol! 🧡
@@JJzerro If you want a procedural music visualizer, you can do a lot better than just tracking the amplitude. An easy improvement is tracking the amplitude of different frequencies, but there's a lot more you could do.
So talented that you can even play piano with your nose! Great video as always :). Despite the fact that I've been using Blender for 5 years now, every video is worth watching. The quality on these is incredible!
Thank you so much. I literally gasped when I saw these in Instagram and was struggling to figure out how you did this. For me, it truly is a beautiful work of genius.
Oh man, I've been working for about two weeks to recreate your brilliant idea and make something new out of it ... and now this tutorial !🤣 You are so brilliant and inspiring!
Glad that someone with the necessary skills is working on an interesting sheet music visualizer. Piano music should be visualized as sheet music for everyone's benefit, that synthesia visualizer plague needs to be cured.
Like I commented on Instagram: I like how this is essentially a modern descendant of Max Fleischer's bouncing ball shorts, but watching this I suddenly thought, you're probably not old enough to remember the musical 3-D animations where balls bounced around these musical worlds, hitting the instruments in time to the music. They were truly groundbreaking when they were made in either the late 1980s or early 1990s. It's just interesting how this theme keeps returning and gets reinvented with the latest technology. In this case even incorporating A.I.! Great stuff, as always.
Thanks so much for making this, I’ve watched the Tetris video so many times and am now so inspired to get back into Blender to make some of my own! Definitely looking forward to the course 😄👏
Amazing content as usual, your videos and tutorials have such a different vibe to everyone else, I'm always waiting for new videos after the newest one. Keep doing what you do best! 🙏
Very cool video and technique, my cat was mesmerized :D Will be on the look out for the course - secretly hoping it includes you playing the entire Axel F with your nose as bonus 👃
In the playback menu in the sync tab also select sync to audio. I dont know why this is not set as default. When its set to sync to frame it somehow offsets the audio. Maybe you wouldnt even need to do the keyframing part.
Hi, at 5:02 whenever I try to add the curve object my projectile goes off in a crazy direction nowhere near the curve. It looks like it's attached to something as it bounces up and down and changes size when moved, but it never is on the bounce curve. How do i fix?
Really cool m8. I wish I had this options in my days as a 3D guru with C4D. That would have been cool. Nevertheless, great vid and as said on insta, I really love your art work. Thumbs up. 😁👍🤜
Now we just need a whole slew of them going at the same time playing each individual instrument in the song. Make them different colors and for their differing levels you could perhaps make a splash when they hit each note that ripples more for heavier notes.
hello there i have a major issue when i was making this project.... 5:08 you have also tell us that if your curve spawned at the wrong side here you can select the curve go to edit mode -> right click->switch direction . i have done that too but it still done in opposite direction. please help me with it 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@JitendraJadeja-y4q if you’re in edit mode and click switch direction and nothing happens, you need to have one of the control points selected first. So it’s like highlighted. Did it work?

When the projectile reaches the end of that extrusion, it switches directions and goes backwards. This doesn't happen when I use the original ending to the bounce curve, only when I extrude it.
