Where can I find a complete rebuild kit at. Great video mine is leaking from the top and from the plunger looking thing on the side.
cleaned carb (but not as thoroughly as i just viewed) after 3yr non use as it wouldnt start starts now and runs well but needs partial 1/2 choke at all throttle settings or it will die ...guessing i should have cleaned out the barrel like part with all the little holes like you did ? or do you think my problem involves another part? ps. great informative video!
I’m in Indianapolis I have a 1987 mercury 9.9 turned up to 15hp I need the cover for the pull out knob 2 screws to hold it on, do you have any advice on where to find those parts? Appreciate your videos!
awesome work very clean and well explained ,found u channel looking for a video that can help me fix a problem on a 2013 15hp stars right up runs good and fast but when i slow down engine cuts off and has a brand new carburetor i noticed on this video the idle screw is 5 1/2 turn mine came with 1 3/4 turn not sure thats the problem is getting the spark plugs black on 1 side and light orange on the other side , me tiene loco brother ,any tips that might help ? thanks
I have the 20 HP Mercury 4 stroke, and I think they are pretty much the same motor. My motor will idle, all though it is rough, but if I open the throttle, it bogs down. Every once in a while it will idle up and run full speed but only for a few seconds. Any idea why it would act like that? Great video... I will be replacing the Impeller soon thanks!!!!!!

Hi. Have you ever heard of needing to add about twice the amount of recommended lower gear oil ? I drained my 2017 15hp. Manual says 370ml to fill. I had to add about 700ml before it started to come out of top hole.
Though loosen a screw was counter clockwise

I saw that too. The brass sleeve/tube has a ball check valve inside. The accelerator pump pushes fuel UP that channel in the carb bowl THRU that brass sleeve. It would seem that the flat end of the sleeve goes in first and the smaller end is on the top at the rubber gasket. Otherwise, the check valve would block the flow of fuel to the needle jet that was shown earlier that injects fuel right into the barrel. Am I thinking correctly? This is obviously a very important point that was skipped over in an otherwise excellent video.

Excellent video. 2 notes for you. Silicone grease should be used on impellers not petroleum grease. Pet grease will break down the rubber over time. Ever use Creolina undiluted to polish up your brass carb parts? No sand paper needed. Amazing stuff. Americans never heard of it.. it is in many latin supermarkets. It takes a few hours to work. Even 500 grit sand paper makes micro gooves to acquire more gunk.

Thanks for sharing! Question. Have 2012 Tohatsu 15hp 4 stroke idles perfect and runs at high speed just has stutter going from idle and transitioning. Low speed or high speed jet issue ?
