    I found one for 5500 and to my surprise they included two extra batteries so I started with 6 batteries. I get good mileage since I don’t run the blades too high. I did get the bagger for it. Run the blades high and it works great even without changing to the high lift blades.

    😍 Today I made up my mind I was going to buy a riding mower; I went to one store, but they only sold push mowers. I went the other end of Emerson to Lowes where I knew they always have riding mowers outside. I needed help finding the right one for me; so the sales person told me she would help when I asked her if there was any inside since I already saw the models out side. She smiled a sideways smile🤔 then said, "we only have one model left." I said, "let me see it." I'm the type of person that knows what I want before and when i see it; when I saw the mower on display, I smiled and said, "this is the only one you have like this one?," and the person said "yes!" I said "I want this one!" 👋 I used to have a old souped-up riding mower that bucked like a untamed horse when I put it in gear; I must tell you that I am a mother of 9 now grown children and used to doing everything around, in and outside my home, so I admired this "EGO" mower even though it had no power to test drive. I am thrilled that it uses no gas! I am waiting for it to be delivered on the 12th. I have looked at the videos online as well as had a wonderful review from on the the sales persons at Lowes that also knew a lot about this mower; he actually got on it and showed me what each button and handle and knob does! It's been a pleasure to buy this mower, and I can hardly wait to cut my grass!
    Remember I told you "Good things come in small packages, with big prices, and sometime the best things in life are not free when the grass is on my side and I ride a "EGO!" Some times you got to pay the high cost to ride the best riding mower, and all my neighbors gawk and say, "nice mower, how much did you pay for that?" I will smile and say "MY GOLDEN YEARS AND I''M WORTH THIS EGO!"😁 www.iamthevoiceinthebook

    I just purchased 1 for $5499 and the store I purchased it from had a special going on, if you bought the 2 extra batteries you’d safe $500!making the final cost $5499. I also let the store assemble and deliver it at no additional charge.( I bought a mulch plug online from that store for $35)

    I love mine. Smooth, quiet and fast.. Plus you don't have to carry a gas can no exhaust fumes. I have one Acre the mower came with 4 10amp hr batteries. It cut the yard just fine. Owed it one year

    Thank you for a great, really well done video! I just got one and used it for the first time today (I had a Ryobi battery powered previously). It is a great mower and even though $$$, I think a worthwhile investment. My neighbor has a gas zero turn and couldn’t believe someone made a zero turn with a steering wheel and how how easy it is to use. Love all your videos, thank you for such good info!

    Great video! I’m on the fence about buying this.
    Price point is definitely an issue. Plus all the fancy electronics I don’t see that holding up in the long run. I definitely like the mower itself and it would be perfect for our size yard.
    I can’t see a lot of people running out and spending $6000 on a mower. Ego is definitely gonna have to bring the price point down if they want people to buy this.
    Once again, thanks for the video, it was very detailed and answered all my questions. 👍

    Looks super trick! Waiting for Toro to release a residential version of a zero turn electric mower. My concerns would be battery life and warranty on all electric-electronics parts. Good luck!

    Good review.
    I am *on the fence* about this model.
    One question I have, gentle readers, is “How do I get service for this mower if/when it needs *factory service*?
    I have done hours of research on this model, and I have nothing about service, warranty, etc.
    EGO, if you are reading this, please speak up!

      Good point, Not sure about that, but this is a great concern. There products are so good so far that I have not even had to call them, I have had Chain saw, blower and now a riding mower, all really well built, but you are correct they all need serviced sometime.

    • @dougp8890
      @dougp8890 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you call Ego they can tell you where the nearest service places is for the area you live in.
      Before I bought my Ego two-stage snowblower, I called to find out who services them near me.
      Turns out the Ace hardware store that is 20 miles from me services Ego products.

    We had a conversation about the John Deere mower deck, where you said you bought this EGO. Does the accelerator pedal slow the machine and speed it up like the variable speed on a JD no matter what speed setting you choose? Also, can you raise the deck, for a second or two, while moving to avoid scalping? I mentioned these concerns in our other thread.

    • @user-vt7uz9fs7e
      @user-vt7uz9fs7e 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      One more question--does the seat absorb the shocks of a rough lawn? I noticed your wife bouncing a bit. Those were my concerns earlier. depending on your answers, EGO might have another customer.

    • @justadadtips
      @justadadtips  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes the pedal is variable for speed, not sure about raising the deck but I think you could since I don't see an interlock on the handle that moves the deck, The seat really absorbs the bumps. Going from a traditionall john deere to this ego seems like going from a Ford Escape to a Cadillac car.

    well, to be honest, i would think of looking into trying to mount a canopy to this, in order to keep the sun off me while mowing and keep the sun off the monitor, to make it more easy to read :0

      They sell a canopy now. 2 small holes with caps in back that can support weight of bagger & a canopy.

      Yes I bought it, We did a lot of research becuase it was so much money. EGO has been around for awhile and there products seem to be made good. so far we love it, I don't think I will save much money from a Gas mower. A gas mower this size it about 3 or 4 thousand,

    Just A Dad, have you while charging the batteries had the charger over heat and shut off? It was about 85 degrees in the garage, it will go about an hour and it show red on the charger and on the display screen on the mower! I would think that it should go the whole time until the batteries are fully charged!! Have you or anybody else had this problem? I dont think it should be that way! I unplug it for about a half hour and plug it back in the wall sockett and usually takes me to 100% Any ideas Just A Dad or anybody out there Help! Thanks for your time!!

    • @Justcuz99

      I am thinking about buying this for next year. I would assume that the batteries are overheating. I have multiple ego tools and chargers. The chargers have fans on them. It doesn't look like there are any fans inside the Z's battery compartment. This is a very good question. I wish he would have answered...
