13:55 this is such good advice for choosing a good church too. Really righteously judge the character/habits of the pastor/congregation!! Decide for yourself if that is what you want to become, bc there is no getting around the fact that you WILL absorb those character traits as you get involved. Do they hold Scripture highly? Are they sensitive to the Spirit? Are they zealous? Disciplined? No church is perfect, but as an institution it is probably the single most influential force in a believer’s life right behind family, and that means we should be mindful and discerning about where we plant ourselves. Just my two cents!

I would tell my younger self that seek discernment for when you need to be a lion and when u need to be a lamb. As well as seek God's character from his word who he reveals himself to truly be, dont just beleive authoritative figures in your life and their perception of God passed down through generations. Find out who God truly is in his word.
