  • Have you seen all that silver in the thrift store, and ever wondered just how to upcycle silver? Today Melissa & Teresa are creating thrifted holiday home decor out of old silver trays. For this project, you'll need access to a Cricut, Silohette, or other vinyl cutting machine. If you don't have access to those, message us! We actually sell custom vinyl letter in our store. We would be very happy to help you out.
Things you'll need for this project:
    Supplies we will be using:
    Dixie Belle Cotton: ravehomecollec...
    Cling-on Brushes: ravehomecollec...
Vinyl Letters we cut out with our vinyl cutter. We do offer custom orders, so reach out to us if that's something you would like!
Dixie Belle Clear Coat, Satin - ravehomecollec...
Creating holiday home decor out of thrifted silver plates & platters is not only fun, but it's a great way to express your personal style on a budget! Using Dixie Belle Chalk Paint, and our favorite Cling-on Brushes, we will show you how to create holiday platters that your family will love for years to come. Thrifted silver is easy to find at almost every Goodwill in the country. No one seems to want it anymore. This project is even great for really dingy patinaed silver that is just too tarnished to make pretty on its own.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s a BIG space with a lot of stuff that I’ve curated over the years. Last year we regularly had over 80 homes staged at any given time!

Removing stickers is best removed with Goo Gone or something similar instead of scratching it off.

I actually know Teresa’s ex-step mother. When Teresa moved to Jacksonville, and was looking for a job, her ex-step mom contacted me and gave her a glowing recommendation. I owned a different shop back then, and was hiring. I hired her without even interviewing her. Eventually she quit that job, for a job with health benefits. When I opened this store, she asked if I would hire her back. She hated that job, and wanted to be in an environment where she loved to go to work everyday. She was a great employee, and a friend, so of course I did!
