I guess you get to keep your accusation up but I wasn't being snarky. I told you how to make something functional and more valuable than a decoration that looks like a waste of a precious metal and a functional food product. Those are also more expensive than what you turned them into which is counter productive in a way. Again, I don't feel like helping you with constructive comments and getting your type of comments back so hopefully you will realize that those type of things don't look that good to some people the ones that might by those products and use them for what they are meant for.

Those are so beautiful. I have begun collecting old silver pieces (not real silver) and was thinking of painting a few pieces. Loved the risers. Now I know I need to look out for these type pieces as well. Thanks.
Brilliant idea to use those chargers as tiered trays I love this idea I always pass up those Chargers because I think they are not very practical but now I think I'll be on the lookout for them great ideas
The silver pieces are absolutely gorgeous! I didn’t know you could paint silver items! I love using the bottom pieces to use as risers, so beautiful! I also, think the picture is stunning! They are very elegant!💕😊🌸🌼
Thank you Beverly! I’m actually filming another painted teapot project for next week’s video. I can find them pretty cheap at my local thrift store, so I like to keep a few on hand. I appreciate you watching and I’ll see you next weekend!
I’m going to do this to a thrifted silverplate teapot that the silver has worn off of in places. I’m going to use Waverly ballet slipper pink, however. I like your simple method. I think I can do that. Thank you for the video. 🙂
I like Plaster too. I couldn't find white one day and bought Plaster. I have never looked back. I want to do this successfully soooo much. I have some "silver" pieces but I can never find any with any detail. They're all smooth.
I agree, Brooke; Plaster is such a beautiful color! You may be able to add details yourself with small wood beads, ribbon with pearls, or air dry clay appliqués. Thank you so much for watching!
Brass is VERY popular right now in some places though. Id try selling brass as is first before painting it. I will paint silver plated. But if you are selling the items, i would definitely post brass items as is ,then if they dont sell after a bit, you can still up cycle with paint. Just something to consider because brass happens to be popular right now
Hi Cheri! I had another viewer share the same tip a few months ago. You gals are right; it works like a charm! Thanks for watching and have a great week!
This is exactly what I was looking for. A few months ago I passed up on a tea pot just like yours with out the lid. I regretted not buying it. So a few weeks ago I found another one and purchased it.. I want to paint it but I just didn't know how to go about doing it. I'm glad I found your channel.
Looks so pretty I'm a hot mess while painting and very impatient that's why I use a heat gun and some good gloves cause on metal it get really hot great tutorials
I have so many projects going at the same time, I don’t mind waiting on stuff to dry. I’ve used a hair dryer before if I had to speed up the process. Thanks again for watching!
Thank you Valerie! Yes ma’am, I did make the candle. I printed the image from The Graphics Fairy onto tissue paper. Then I cut the image out and used a hair dryer to slightly melt it to the candle.
Interesting! I do a lot of painting with chalkpaint, but I wouldn´t have thought that you can paint even silver with it! Great look, but in my opinion you should also have painted the bottom/underside of both pieces. Now it´s not possible to put it on a high board, shelf or a cupboard because everybody would see the original surfaces of both parts, and that´s not very classy. But I really like your videos nevertheless! Greetings from Germany
Hi Carolyn! I’ve never used a clear coat or mod podge over silver polish, so I’m not sure how to advise you on what to do. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

One of them was broken the other two were fine. You could have polished them with silver cream and had shimmery silver, found food containers that fit in the chafing dishes and purchased the heat sources for the bottoms. You would have had something more valuable than white paint over precious metal that makes them look cheapened to people that know what those are as well unusable for food.. That I saw them in this video and know that all they needed was a little polishing makes it worse.

I learned from a couple other DIY’ers here on YT, to dip the glue tip in Vaseline so it wont stick shut when you close it.
Great tip; gonna have to do that!
I was going to suggest the very same thing. I do that and it is a game changer!
Very beautiful! Do you make the rose candle shown in the end?
Thank you Valerie! Yes ma’am, I did make the candle. I printed the image from The Graphics Fairy onto tissue paper. Then I cut the image out and used a hair dryer to slightly melt it to the candle.

Chalk paint works so well on so many different surfaces. Thank you for watching, Christine!
That teapot would of been a great piece to decoupage and use iod clay and molds around the decoupage.
That’s a great idea! I have a few more and I may have to try that out.

Do prep with Mod Podge or is it not necessary?
Hi Vivian! I don’t prep with Mod Podge if using Chalk Paint, as it adheres well to many different surfaces. Thank you for watching!
Do you use a primer to make sure the paint doesn’t scratch off?
Hi Laurie! I would use primer on any highly used items, but I do seal many of my décor pieces with either wax or poly acrylic.
Just wondering why you wouldn’t do the bottoms of the wood and metal for a more finished product?
Ok I see now further that you did do bottom of the wood😊
Hi Susan! At first I thought the metal apron would be long enough to prevent the bottom from showing, but the underside had to be stained. Thank you for watching and commenting!
What type of brush are you using?
Hi Heather! Here's the link to the Plaid Flat Brush that I use. Thanks! amzn.to/3gQQEoO
Dip the tip of the glue in Vaseline before you close it and it won't be hard to open later.
Definitely going to do that, Carrie! I have several things that need some Vaseline to make them easier to open. Thank you for watching!
