Most important information the guys in the class didnt use is the time of the day, it is 12 in the noon, so the person essentially has around 6 hours to find some light source as he wouldnt be able to see at the night, which would be a huge problem, the other thing they could have analysed is the elevation of the ground from them, if the person sees that the ground infront of him is elevating upwards and he plans to move along it could mean he is going up the hill etc.

Also the season. If it's summer, they can get more time and if it's monsoon,he'll have to find a shelter first

true and even in case study of andheri to powai they simply ignored traffic and not knowing distance in every possible way of transportation. i mean who the fuck will calculate distance and speed when you have time after doing all the calculation these guys suggesting and incorporating all factors like traffic?

given info: place = forest, time=12 noon. objectives are to survive and get out. breakdown into survive and get out. to survive, find food(enough for the day) and water source along with shelter. Spend 5 hours doing this. find wood and timber to light a fire. cook the food and sleep. day 2 create weapon or tools and food and water storage facility and find directions. day 3 explore the island and keep going in the same direction and create shelters at 1 km distance in the same direction till you reach the end of the forest. if the end is a cliff thats difficult to climb, turn back and go to nearest shelter and repeat till done for other directions. if water body, create raft and fishing arrangements. If surrounded by sea or dead end on all sides, create smoke signals at the edge of the island and hope for people to notice.

The first question came to my mind, in the unconventional case was: Do I have a cell phone and does forest have the network. 😂If the answer came out as yes, Whole case study is over

    A question
If a person woke up in the middle of the forest, there would be some footprints which can give the direction to follow (He wont be much kms away from the road unless he came by a vehicle in which case, there would be a vehicle near him. Why is everyone taking inputs from Man vs Wild and making a case more of a bear grylls situation.

Hi, management student here and I'd like to say something wrt MECE structure. The full form of MECE is mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive. Collectively and not comprehensively.
You look at all unique possibilities that don't overlap each other but together are complete. Eg positive numbers, negative numbers and zero = all possible numbers.
A number cannot be both positive and negative hence they are Mutually Exclusive.
