this and other videos helped me get into a super selective consulting society at my university. and now i have my first internship interview in a month and im going in very confidently thanks to all the amazing work you’ve put out on this channel. huge huge thank you
I have spent approximately 1230981239867123 hours researching case interviews from rubbish case studies and lectures and it took me all of 30 minutes watching this video to now feel confident for my case interviews tomorrow. LIFE SAVER
One of the main synergies you missed was the distribution synergy - A beverage giant has an existing relationship with all retailers which will really change the equation
I’ve searched and gone through many cases in many channels and got totally lost until I ran across this video. Its all clear in my mind and I know now which way to go to prepare. Omg I can’t thank you enough.
Absolutely brilliant! This is the type of information you'll never get from even MBA level courses because a true case analysis takes simple concepts and applies them from the bottom up. Have a case interview soon for a consulting position and this helped a ton. Thanks!
This was great and now I feel more confident with approaching cases. I use to struggle with not knowing where to start and worrying about memorizing frameworks but this makes it easy and simple to approach! Thank you!!!!
its 1 am overhere and i have a case interview tomorrow. I watched many videos and gained some knowledge but this video truly made me super confident and the approaches are so seamless. Thank you so much
Such a great video! I am looking to pivot into the consulting and although I was mostly nailing some areas of the video I saw I was all over the place and lacked structure. This video provides me with structure and how to properly convey my thoughts. Love this!!
this is very helpful in preparation for my business case interview since i don't have any background knowledge in business. Thank you so much, definitely liking and subscribing!
I actually watched the video until the end. It's full of useful tips and information for anybody who wants to consider making a living out of consulting jobs.
1:15 examples of case interviews. 2:03 typical interview structure. 3:01 keep track of what interviewer reads. 4:81 ask only critical questions: 1. definition of a term that you’re unfamiliar with 2.
Absolutely excellent funneling of the entire process. My problem is I tend to overcomplicate my pathways to the solution to look thorough in my analysis, feeling the need to jargonize all my ideas, and touching on every single possible business concept I've learnt, thinking it has to be a fireworks show to impress the interviewer🎆🤣This was a well simplified summary, really helped me out a bunch guys!
That was the most helpful video on the topic, I followed the steps and the interview (technical Project Management position) went so well thanks to that! Thank you so much!
@@HackingtheCaseInterview Today I received an offer! This video and the Behavioral Interview video helped me a lot. I truly appreciate it, thank you so much. I owe you one
@@arpitasahoo128 From what I understand, you'll have the Behavioral Interview. If that's the case, watch the video on this channel about that type of interview; it will be very helpful. Also, here's a tip: Sometimes, when applying for a junior position, besides the questions that start with "Tell me a time when", you may be asked questions like "What do you think are three unrealistic expectations from a new hire about their team leader?", "What do you think are three unrealistic expectations that team leaders have about new hires?", "In a scenario where you have to lead a team, please share the three most important qualities you must possess". I hope this helps you. Also practice a lot. Best of luck!
This gave me a better understanding on how to go about case interviews....I m looking forward to solving more cases using this method....wow this is so interesting

Thank you so much for providing this video. I have never done a case interview before, and this outlines what is required in a clear and coherent way. Thank you! I feel a bit less nervous now.
Hi there, for the beer chart at around the 20min mark, we see that there are just a few major players in the market. I am thinking how is this considered highly competitive? I would imagine the market would be considered highly competitive if there are many players in the market. Would like to understand this better. Thank you
I must subscribe. I'm yet to finish the video. But mr poster! It shall be well with you. You'll never lack. This calm my nerves a little. I'll drop a better comment later and surf this TH-cam for all your videos. A very big thumbs up 👍 I'll du everything humanly possible to support your page, God bless you.
Regarding the can problem, you didnt need to calcuate the cost per can or anything per can, as the question was talking about the keg. So, you just had to calcuate how many cans were in a keg and then do everything for the keg and not each can.
im an engineer by trade. I have a group case study interview with presentation next week for management trainee position. Im not sure if this the right video but Im taking notes on the main structure tackling down a case study
I don't think that should be an issue. As what you mainly need to do is to show logical reasoning in the approach you decide on using. Having worked in Consulting for >10 years I can tell you that each project has it's own uniqueness and ultimately it comes down to i) your ability to ask the right questions [this is crucial at the project definition/scoping stage...and throughout the project] as well as ii) your ability to look in the right places for the answers and iii) packaging the findings and recommendations in a simple, intuitive and actionable way
Hello, I'm an undergrad student considering a career in consulting---What type of extracurriculars do you think employers are looking for? and What are some ways I can get involved/learn more about consulting as an undergrad? Love your content btw:)
Thanks Vatsal! Most undergrads have a consulting club that you can join to learn more about a career in consulting and how to navigate the recruiting process. As for extracurriculars, I'd look for opportunities to take on meaningful leadership roles in which you can make a tangible impact on your club, school, or community. When it comes to extracurriculars, depth is better than breadth. I'd also recommend trying to find internship or work opportunities, preferably for name brand companies. This will help give you an edge during recruiting. Hope this helps!
This is such a well made video. I have a question regarding case study assessments. The ones that comprise of 30-40 pages, and we are given like 2-3 days to prepare for it in advance. Then during the interview we have to make a presentation regarding a topic related to the case study. So, should I follow the same structure/framework for those as well like you have explained in this video? Do you have any additional material available regarding those types of case studies?
@@HackingtheCaseInterview That sounds great. Will be looking forward to it. For this case you suggested that our client shouldn't enter the market based on the current market competitiveness. What if we had already invested a significant amount in the past, and what if the market was expected to grow even more in the future? What will our approach be then? In that case I don't think it is right to recommend not investing any further.
