    Thank you for this video. I just recently got one of these (the black version with the optical black switches) and most of the other channels don't have anything at all on this board (it's my first mechanical) because apparently "budget friendly" means $120 to many people...even in the cheaper options in various videos this isn't a board I'm seeing much more than unboxings and sound tests for but no mods. I didn't want to just take it apart blindly because I don't want to risk breaking it, but it looks like it should be pretty simple to make some cheap mods of my own, so a big thank you for having this posted!

      Honestly its a great keyboard and really easy to mod. I agree on the "budget friendly" videos. They always make me laugh. "With the low cost of $200 bucks" lol! Also thanks for watching and happy modding!

      @@CacheKeyboards Thanks. I'm going to give it a shot soon. I've never modded one of these and I might even check to see if they still have the blue optical version on sale to get it as a backup since I can just put my blacks into it if I happen to break something lol (it was on sale the other day for like $17!). I subbed to your channel as well. I'm new to the keyboard scene and it's nice to see at least the occasional
      legit "budget" board get some love.

    I just modded my Tk61 after watching your video. However, i have the brown switches but i think Ilubed them just a tad bit too much after typing on them for a while now they sound a lot more creamy rather than scratchy sound. My brother has the black switches and those would sound really nice once they are lubed. Keep up the great work and i hope in the future you can more keyboards especially budget ones

      That’s awesome! Trust me I have over lubed my switches before too lol it happens to the best of us. Super happy to hear you got it all sounding nice and creamy! The blacks do sound great lubed as well. Thanks for watching and happy keyboarding.

    I took off all screws and keycaps but couldn't get it off, any advice?

    • @CacheKeyboards
      @CacheKeyboards  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea, when you have all the screws off if you can't get the top plate off I would grab a small tool to run along the edge between the case and plate and you can gently lift it out. Also double check to make sure you got all the screws. I miss one all the time haha

    • @MinecraftGuy123
      @MinecraftGuy123 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CacheKeyboards i got 6 screws is that all? also what kind of tool did you use

    • @CacheKeyboards
      @CacheKeyboards  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MinecraftGuy123 Yea should only be 6 screws. Then you can use anything that's thin and can slide between the plate and case. This one lifted out pretty easy but typically I use a little plastic pry tool.
