I have trouble believing that republican guards take deserters to hospital for mutilation. As if they could bother with such things. I am from Iraq and know the mentality of Iraqis. Plus why can’t he tell us the name of the orthopaedic consultant who allegedly refused to mutilate deserters and was shot on the spot?!
I can believe it and I have only travelled there...I have friend who has been tortured for standing up against corruption and his mind and body is not the same he lives in fear. Last week a student friend was shot in the leg when he protested against PUK AND PDK taking student fees for their own pockets!! I have known a soldier punished when false report made against him. As you are from Iraq and know the mentality you know tribal revenge & loyality. religious pride & zealots. Some would rather humiliate others, feel power over them and these are the worse kind!

I will tell you though it was not an orthopedic consultant that refused to cut the ears off the deserters.. it was his supervising medical officer. As Munjed only studied and became a specialist in orthopedics after his detention in Australia. and you are obviously aware of the hospital ranking system in Iraq. Have you read his books? this is only a very short video and there is much more detail.

I know about Munjid, I even worked with him briefly at Westmead Hospital NSW. 1- I still don’t believe Iraqi republican guards could be bothered taking deserters to hospital for mutilation. If they wanted they could’ve mutilated the deserters themselves. 2- I have never said that his boss whom allegedly got shot for refusing to mutilate was an orthopaedic. Plus if he was an orthopaedic or not we still want to know his name! Why not some pictures of him?! Who is his family?! I am sure it’s not that hard to provide all that! From the very short time I spend with Munjd I got the vibe he is an actor and love attention nothing else. Edit: I do apologise, I did say his boss was an orthopaedic.
