Hey doc, if cost is not the issue, which one will you choose besides Rayface and Metismile? Which workflow is more efficient and less likely to make errors? Does the Metismile have the library for digitial smile design? Thanks
@@leoyangdds If cost is part of the decision, Metismile is 1/3 or 1/4 of the cost. So that makes a big difference. Both workflows are comparable yes. Personally I use RayFace more in my clinic as I just like one touch operation. But I have associates that love Metismile.
Can a depth of 22mm detect the peri-apical pathologies like a cyst ,granuloma or a tumour in a face scanner in it's trough? To what extent does it's resolution suffice?
Similar. You pay more for the RayFace but it has one click operation - this is probably the biggest advantage. Otherwise Metismile is a great option too for a lower price point if you don’t mind the manual operation
@@InstituteofDigitalDentistry one click operation is great. Do you think that a patient can maintain face smile for more than 1-2 seconds without moving any muscle ? Impossibile.....rayface cost much more but its quality and speed worth it every dollar-euro, especially if you use face scan to work and not to make show
@@marcoval71 Agreed. We love one click operation. It also comes at a cost. Have you used the Shining product however? The software does an excellent job overlaying the different images and giving a single smile at end.
I've tried almost all the face scanner on the market included iPhone-iPad app.....considering,quality,operator time, learning curve and IOS superimposing protocol without any doubt rayface 200 is my choice. I am a trios user and IOS user since 2014, I definitely work with digital dentistry, and time is very important.....
@@marcoval71 We like the RayFace too :) These two face scanners are our favorite. You should check out our rayface review instituteofdigitaldentistry.com/facial-scanner/rayface-review-the-best-facial-scanner-for-dentists/

Do you want something mobile? Get Metismile. Do you want something that's one click operation but will stay in one spot in the clinic? Rayface.
@@InstituteofDigitalDentistry thank you, but if cost is part of the decision making, you will go with Metismile? Both workflow comparable?

No. It just takes facial scans.
Can a Meti-smile oro-facial scanner replace a tomogram?
No, there are no penetrating waves. Its a camera.
Great! Review! How is the MetiSmile scanner compared to the RayFace? Both on the same level?

Are you really sure this is a geometrical correct merging of IOS, CBCT and RS ? Correct xyz data?
It works when we align it to the IOS and CBCT.
@@InstituteofDigitalDentistry Sure - got it - but is it geometrically correct? You did not answer my question...? Thanks for clarification
@@ROSEMA-jo8eo yes it is. I will post a deeper dive review comparing a few different face scanners on instituteofdigitaldentistry.com/blog soon
Perfect
Its a great scanner for sure.

Totally agree! These are exciting times for the entire industry, to be fair!
