Music to my ears sorta miss the road did it for some 30 years. Very nice video
This guy has one hell of a barber - that ain't no "Super Cuts" hair cut. Oh ya, the truck is awesome!
Gotta look as smooth as his shifts for the camera! I pedal an 18spd RR, but I ain't as buttery as this guy 😎
Nice one bro love the sound of the turbo whistling and jake
It makes me happy to see that everyone commenting on this video is positive. This dude obviously is a master. Bravo
Man, this makes me miss my Classic XL. I'll own another here shortly. Love my Detroits and Freightshakers.
Good job , I leave my jake on all the time. Keep the pedal just low enough it wont come on until u want it. I drive a long nose 389 with a h performance 505hp Cummins 13sp.
I do the same thing in my L model KW with a 565 Cat 18 speed
Great sound n great driving terrific video sure brings back memories thnx
Now that is a man who knows his transmission(s), up the box and down, just love the way he uses the Jake through the split to gradually slow it down.
Art, sir, is what it is. Beautiful.
The force is strong with this one
God damn i love those down shift's
You Just Relieved All My Stress today Driver ! Keep the Shiny Side Up & All the best To you and yours. From East Coast 🇨🇦
This cat is a super Chad. Respect.
It's detroit 60 series tho
A cat ain’t that loud that’s a Detroit all day everyday
That’s a Detroit
Guys I dont think he was talking about the truck
Or y'all are in on the joke too
They've gotta be man.
I love the synergy between man and machine reflected in the sounds the truck makes. And a stick shift is paramount to this synergy.
I had to come back and Watch this again ! I give this video 10 out of 10 bald eagle's ! #merica
Thank you ! For what you do ! My family thanks you..
Oh I get it! The other stick is the range selector. I’m guessing one of those buttons is the splitter. Cool
Hashim Doe You got it backwards. The button on the dash is the Range selector, and the stick on his right is the splitter. Simple right?
They say he's still floating the gears to this day. A legend
My dad had a twin stick 1965 VW Beetle. This video is the only other time I've seen twin sticks.
There is not a slightest chance the driver driving this thing will ever fall asleep.....😂
I was thinking the same thing.
Man, get up on the freeway those stacks just sing you right to sleep.
@@andrewsenn89 I was thinking the same thing.....its DEFINITELY more than possible if you are even slightly tired
You not shifting a whole lot on the freeway and the drone will get you like a loud fan in the bedroom.
From experience, (I learned my lesson) yes, you can fall asleep with twin sticks on the highway.
Sounds really sweet. Only thing is I'm sure your split is on air so your set up will wear out your split selector quicker as your selecting the split and holding it there for a few seconds before changing gear.
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this
Yup. Do not hold that shift for too long. It will destroy the shift forks. Shift the range selector or the splitter and complete that shift right away. Common issue.
Wish I knew what you guys were talking about. Respect to you all.
Thanks for all your videos, they are so relaxing.
Love that wheel... I had a set of clubs in my 87 Pete.. great stuff...safe ridin, bro.
Many people will never know what true torque feels like 👍
Love the sound and manual shift skills. When you get bumped and lose control of the most important controls (brakes and steering), you and those around the massive big rig will wish you wore a seat belt.
Now that's a mean jake! Also smooth shifting 👌
Engine break makes my day and makes my 89 Pete sound cute
Watch yourself driver you have a mean dog straight pipes sound great love that interior keep on trucking
He’s doing a sweeeett job of floating dim gears I never see his right leg/knee move
He's using a hand throttle?
@@MJorgy5 hes shifting without using the clutch something that can take awhile to master it's not really hard once u figure out how it's done
Beautiful just beautiful sounds
Yes
Huge Grin!
Only played with a twin stick a little bit.
But I could make my 1973 Freightliner with a 318 Detroit & a 13 speed scream!
Probably when you were in grade school.
Nice Video!
It’s more challenging to downshift than it is to upshift. The second shifter is just a splitter.
I drove a snow plow for the state. Few things are more exciting than grabbing gears to stop in a hurry. It’s a full body experience
