I can fully understand you’re struggling with culture and language! Even as a European (from Germany) I must agree that there are so many cultural differences on our continent and the language skills vary extremely from country to country. If I would recommend a country to finish your boat it would be the Netherlands! A lot of nice and helpful people. Almost everybody speaks fluently English and has a sailing boat (at least it seems to me like that… 😉).
None of this is surprising so all credit you for undertaking this journey + new baby and you still manage to smile. We are on the journey with you no matter how long it takes
@@leojmullins -- DEFINITELY a _learning_ experience! They are a travel channel - that mostly builds boats, mini-houses and now in France! ohh guys, just finish your boat in the Netherlands. friendly people, lots of manufacturers, materials, sailing capitol of the world, and.... WE ALL SPEAK ENGLISH . Will be a decision you certainly will NOT regret.
✝️✝️✝️I'm retired at 61, went from Grass to Grace. This video here reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, honest wife, $35k biweekly and a good daughter full of love ❤️
I raised 75k and Maria Luisa Clare is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Maria L. Clare is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good husband, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!
I know that woman(Maria Luisa Clare) If you were born and raised in new York you'd know too, No doubt she is the one that helped you get where you are!!
I like that you AND Uma are sharing the negatives AND the positives. It is easy to get sucked into the euphoric portions, but nothing is perfect. Thank you for sharing.
They are! Lots of channels are! I mean Delos is making an _Exploration AL Cat_ in Auzzie land and MJ Sailing is making a more conventional CAT in Maryland, USA. Plucky of Sailing into FREEEEEDOM!!!! is building an ELCANO WORLD CHALLENGE CAT (also AL) for a circumnavigation! Even Sailing Doodles had a large 53' "eCAT' made in Asia ... the Wynns are out of their CAT (also built in Asia by 'HH'), as they builder is "still fixing things!" ... I suppose we all live in _interesting times!_
I am a fan of all the ‘build’ videos, boat & van (even the over engineered workshop!). I started with you guys back in the Tiny House days. Keep building stuff
Ducca, Roberta and Oliver: Sometimes life gets stressful, your audience simply adores your Family and we are so grateful for you taking the time to enlighten us with your condition. We are all praying, that in the future, you'll be able to look back and be thankful for the experience you both have enjoyed together living the life of your dreams. Most of us have to work, raise a family and compete every day with inflation, cost of vegetables, pay rent, etc so believe you are not alone with your stress. Again, breath deep and remember you both have come so far from the days of rebuilding Odd. Thank you again for this informative episode, Oliver looks just like his father, so cute and full of his spirit and vitality. Roberta, you are an exceptional young women, we are sure things will work out and again you'll be raising the sails towards adventure and a life full of gratitude. Thank you again!
I really liked watching the van build and I started to follow Sail Hub for that reason, I like DIY stuff (and sailing) and I think you two did a great job with the van so far. Don't be discouraged, as you said, everything happens for a reason and it will all be good in the end!!
Just a word of encouragement for you three today. I know you are working even harder adding the little one to your life is more work than rebuilding or building a boat! My thoughts and prayers go out to you !❤
As others have said...we've been with you since the shipping container. We love all your videos whether it's containers, restoring old boats, building new boats, or creating a livable van. We're here for the long haul and wish the three of you nothing but the best...much love!
Good job , this simple honesty makes your journey more relatable to many people answers the questions most channels hide from. Keep up the flow of real life information and you have me for ever.
What a cliffhanger! Where ARE you? Hope you are in Sweden or possibly the Netherlands. Two civilized European countries with a great boat building tradition and where EVERYONE can and wants to speak English. Looking forward to the next and the next and...... episode 😉 And once again, big congrats on the baby! 😊 And many thanks for all you share, Fertility problems that I know many in the same position loved, setbacks and misbehaviors. All of this just makes you so human. Hope everything will turn around soon, the views will increase and the boat will be ready. (And there are a lot of us who agree with you about France and the French) 🇸🇪😄😀💕
Many people have a wrong impression of the French. I always found them very friendly. I can tell you stories of randomly stopping at a hill top to see the view and being invited to dinner or the whole villages helping me trying to get my drone out of a tree. (In the end they cut down the tree to get my drone) Or even in Paris where I asked a woman directions and she drove us there. Sure I had some bad experiences but al of these had to do with too many tourists.
My mom's side of the family is all french and I can feel your pain with dealing with them. They can be a stubborn and set in their ways type of people lol. That being said once you become like family to them it's one of the warmest cultures I know. I wish you the best of luck and can't wait to watch your new adventures unfold.
So great to see you guys again Roberta and Duka and the baby ollie. I know you guys will make it difficult times for you but things will change and get better. Lots of love Billy from Liverpool xx
I fully fully understand your analysis.. In the mid seventies, me, my wife and three boys settled in the USA from Belgium. I spoke English but my wife and the boys had to learn the new language.. The changes in schools (not understanding the language) the changes in food, the changes in culture, the difference in life styles, etc..But the Americans were very open and supporting..We created a lot of new friends and gradually everyone spoke English and we settled ..(Now we all are American Citizens) I also fully understand the bureaucratic drag of being a resident alien in France..The dual taxation system, etc.. But, in the end all will be resolved and your family will adapt to "La Douce France".. Keep on following your dream..The road might be bumpy but... C'est la vie ...
Both of you look very tired! Keep cool, breathe your air, take some rest and go back to fight. You were right to do what you decided to do! Go on, we are with you!!!
You will find that in the long term the baby is the only thing that matters. You will eventually forget your troubles but baby is for ever. Love him unconditionally and all will be well. Good luck.
Hats off to you guys! We all love you! And don’t worry, we will be here patiently waiting and supporting where we can! You’re my favourite sailing channel by far! ❤ just honest kind souls! Love you three (Oh if you do need assistance with anything, I would be happy to come help you out)
@ I live in Switzerland, I am not working at the moment, but am a professional chef! If you guys do need an extra pair of hands! I know how to clean! I could come cook or even do whatever you guys need assistance with! Oh and I know you’re pain! Living 21 years in French speaking Swiss! And I am Australian🤣 🥰
Roberta and Duca, I love you guys. Your sincerity in everything you do, is a joy for my heart. I agree that bureaucracy and culture can be the biggest hurdles for anyone trying to get things accomplished. My wife and I lived in Madrid for almost a year. We speak the language. I had 14 cousins living there locally. We loved the food. Over the course of those months, I watched a six-floor apartment building being renovated. When we left, they had not finished!!!! I laughed and cried when you said that in Europe, "working is the least important thing of your life". OMG. Every other weekend was a three-day holiday, we were drinking and dancing in the office! My project schedule kept on slipping!!! Keep doing what you're doing, we're with you all the way. And, most importantly, keeping loving each other and Ollie everyday.
Wahey! Roll on Jan 6th guys! Cheers for the shout out! great surprise there! Looking forward to METS too, and when will we catch up as a full group next, and meet the WEEE MAN?!
You two have been so inspiring. You have amazing work ethic. Stay the course... Enjoy your beautiful baby. We will be praying for God's blessings on you. 💙🙏🙏🙏
Aww, you three are doing it right. Everybody has stress in their lives but as a 72 year old I have found the biggest stress reliever is time. You take one problem or worry at a time and work through it over a period and before you know it, you have resolved the problem. You have given yourselves that 5-year period to raise Olie, finish your dream yacht, sell your van, learn heaps of new skills and get sailing again. It's a long journey but you are still young with all the energy and attitude to complete that journey. You will do it. Best wishes from New Zealand.
Thank you for this video. It is very good to discuss what pitfalls there are in your project. Also, I have the mental image of me with my 17 foot Dolphin with a cabin too small for a five year old child to stand in and me knowing nothing about caring for a boat of any kind. So many things to learn and to practice the development of the skills you need. I'm here in land-locked Colorado, cheering you on!
hi folks, appreciating a lot this video! I am from Belgium North and lived in Italy . To my experiance, between coutries within Europe and because of its history, culture differences are major. For your project specifically, if you woud do such project of building a boat, your experiances could be significantly different (easier) if this would be organized i.e. in the Netherlands . Also for having better communication Belgium north or the Netherlands would be much easier flr you because most people would speak English with you. I learned to speak basic Italian and without that surviving and doing my job in that country would have been much more difficult or even impossible for me. So my suggestion, given your situation focussing on understanding and speaking the local language should be a priority. Life will be much easier as culture differences would be easier overcome. What is concerning the weather… 😀you are lucky as you are more in the south of France. The north or Belgium, The Netherlands would be even worse for you! Wishing you guys all the luck and enjoying your video’s a lot. Warm regards Eddy
Very Interesting video. I would say you are both at the bottom of your confidence cycle. I would also say I have the utmost confidence in you both (and in Ollie!). I have built ten yachts over the years and have always gone through the same "up and down" cycles. If it gets too much for you both just sit down with large glasses of wine and play with Ollie. We live in Poole on the south coast of England right next to Poole Harbour. There is a guest suite attached to the side of our house and you are very welcome to use it without charge. Because we live next to a yacht club it is used occasionally by dinghy sailers racing at events. Be flexible and change your plans. Richard Weston
Its a huge task and can see the strain on you both, but keep at it guys and you will get there. Once its finished you can let the stress go and enjoy the adventures ahead of you. Big love to you all 🙂
What's different from Uma! ... you didn't wait 2 years to be truthful. You are always sincere no masquerade, we feel included in your life, your projects as subscribers or as patrons. Good luck & take care of yourselves. Congradulation and I'm very thankful for this honest video not hiding anything! Love ❤️ Oli will grow with us 😅. 🇨🇦 Thank you
This video was necessary for others but not for me. I would have done exactly as you have. I'm an immigrant to the USA from Holland and adventure is in my blood. Nothing comes easy even if you are born into wealth, which, I was not. We came here poor and had to work like our next meal depended it... because it did. A Dutchman's work ethic is 180 degrees out of phase with that of the French. The van was not a mistake. It continues to be a place to cut your teeth on the life you have chosen. Duca, I am as modular a thinker as you. It takes guts to take on the challenges that you and Roberta have. I wonder how many subscribers live vicariously through the two of you. Those folks who do not understand the workings of an inquisitive mind, let alone creative mind, do not comprehend how we process daily activities, much less take on these challenges. It is we, the pioneers, the vanguard, that make life what it is. We don't sit on the couch and criticize others, we are the doers. These videos are meant to educate others, to inspire them to make their dreams come true. They are meant to expose those that want to learn, to learn of the pitfalls, the highs, the lows, the successes and everything in between, a place from where to start. To do all these things with the one your are madly in love with... well most are not that blessed. So please do not ever worry about the number of subscribers you have or don't have. There is a place in heaven for people like you, you are blessed, and because of it you will prosper. God bless and fair winds always.
I understand your frustrations ….as an english speaker having now worked in 3 countries…all of which were english speaking. I can relate to every one of your points…and I had no language issues at all, but the cultural, community, supplier etc issues were all there. Just keep on going. I enjoy your whole process.
I can relate to almost all of those points. As an American, I lived in Germany, Spain, and Italy for almost 10 years with my wife and two young children and experienced a lot of what you talk about. My youngest was actually born in a German hospital in Munich, and yes, the doctor spoke English but almost none of the nursing staff did. This was all prior to the EU also and every country had its own currency to deal with. But, it was fun times, memorable times, cherished times, even with some of the annoying and frustrating bits. Love you guys and wish you all the best!! And your little one is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!
WELL understood DeR! Although it is all so much more difficult and stressful and costly than most people understand, showing these realities, I believe, IS very important! Wishing you all the best ahead!
Roberta and Ducca , What a heart felt and honest video ! My son is English and he has married a lovely American girl BUT the hoops and hurdles they had to go through to stay together was Horrendous ! (and they speak the same language ) ! I really feel for you with all that you have had to go through in France BUT you have now got something more precious than anything , a lovely little boy ! Good luck to you with your next stage in your lives ! X
Thx for sharing your experience and insights. Others building houses while working, starting a family with kids and they all manage and overcome the hurdles of life. And I‘m certain that with your passion and brasilian positivity you‘ll also manage. And you‘ll finally end up in a dream of a boat for sure! Keep up the good work you do!
My family built in 2 buses to motor homes. Mom made the design for both on paper to scale. Little cutouts moved on graph paper till it all fit. Mom even did some 3d mock ups out of cardboard. Try it all and you will find what works. Love this all. Olli will love what you build.
J’ai redécouvert votre chaîne avec la construction de ce bateau et wahou quel challenge ! Votre description de la population française et de sa bureaucratie est tellement réelle ! Bravo ça va être super ! 🎉
Thank you for such an honest insight.... it certainly puts things into perspective! Hopefully, you can look back without too much regret and remember the experience/ordeal with gratitude and not too much trauma!!
I've noticed when small teleproduction companies go to a different country they hire a local fixer. And the fixer helps them with many of the cultural differences and tips and tricks of the area because they grew up there. It's almost like hiring a personal assistant. Keyword, hiring. And that costs money. It would be cool if you could find someone locally that could be your helper. I know you guys will rock no matter what you do! 😊
Fully understand all you say. Plough on through and you will get there in the end. Olly is all that matters, boat comes second. Love watching all you two do …..apart from the van 😂😂
Ok you guys…..odd life has always been about you guys for me and I’m sure everyone else feels the same ! You guys are “real” people and willing to share you life adventures with us! Sure we love the sailing, but this is why we love watching! I love you have followed your dreams . So happy for you that you finally have a son ! Enjoy this time as they say the universe has a purpose we may not realize it at the time, but in the end it works out for the better. I have faith that this new boat will work out amazing an Duca …..you are one talented that you give yourself for! I know you will do an amazing job building out the inside of your boat. Love you guys! Wishing you all the best of luck!
You are doing a great job, happy to hear you're adapting to all the challenges coming at you, not to mention the challenge of being parents! Look forward to seeing any and all content you guys put out.
I enjoyed and appreciated your honesty. My wife and I moved to France with young children and lived there for 3 years and then we moved to Argentina and lived there for 3 years. Each time most of the things you mentioned were experiences we had. But, each time we adjusted and began to really enjoy the experience in real time. And now - looking back 20+ years we have such great memories and our kids do too. I liked that you commented on the two sides of the coin for each of your 11 points. I'm one of those who has enjoyed all of your van build pictures so I hope that you do more than 2-3 videos even if I understand that doing weekly videos on that is not in the cards for the reasons you mentioned. I still miss not being able to see videos of you finishing your tiny container home. Yup - I've been watching you since then. I just like your commentary and watching you build things and explaining very well what and why you do things the way you do. Don't give up.
One reason I liked the van videos were the manufactures you visited relating to supplies and building tools. I was so amazed that you were using such tools to make building so much easier than anything I saw in the past. Appreciated the honesty you both displayed but understand the Meta hull you now have will make for a safer and roomier than other boats. Oil is so precious and you are both so fortunate to have such a blessed one. You are one of my favorite UTube channels - great episode.
Holy smokes you guys! I'm so very sorry to hear of the massive stress you've been under for some time now. I hope it feels better to tell us all about your real situation. I wish you so much good fortune. Be well! ❤
You’re both doing incredibly well in so many ways. Your decision making is spot-on. Well done for not being afraid to make big changes - those changes are keeping you on the right path :) Get some rest, relax and enjoy being together as a family!
Ollie is icing on your cake! A true culmination of the love your two share. Destiny has great plans for you. Love your little baby, he'll grow up so fast
Your child learning French is a good thing!! So having English, French and Spanish would be excellent!! Children can learn different languages very easily!!
Greetings from the Grand Union Canal! I so feel for you guys! I spent over 20 years living in Finland. It wasn't even planned; it was a holiday that became totally long term. I didn't speak a word of Finnish when I arrived. Being a Brit, English was a great lingua franca, but I got major culture shock! The food, the assumptions, the misunderstandings - the stress of it all was huge. I ended up teaching English, and one of my tasks was to warn, incoming engineers mostly, about culture shock. It is a real thing! So congratulations to you both - you are dealing with it and, most importantly, talking about it. Well done!
Perfect video! The baby is too beautiful 😍😍😍 and he's grown!! Yeah, it's difficult. But what doesn't destroy you makes you stronger. In 10 years, when you look back you'll realise the things you learnt will be a beacon of light for anybody that wants to take a similar journey. Yes France is a country known for it's boat building... But so is the Netherlands, Turkey, US, even Australia (I know about your previous adventures here on the Gold Coast!!) Don't give up, we have your back. Love you guys!!
👍👍👍. Hello Olly. And thanks for so much coming back to your sailing roots. I got fed up, didn’t want to watch van life. Or how to build a workbench for the workshop to fit out a van! 😂. Hope you’re back on track, and I’m longing for you to set sail again. TH-cam is inundated with boat builds/ rebuilds, and really it’s the sailing I come to watch. Not even the exotic places or enticing bodies! I’m sure I echo the thoughts of many of your subscribers. It’s been huge fun watching you renovate Odd, then set out sailing and learning. Looking forward to the same. Good luck, you are now an awesome family 😉👍👍
You guys are not real young, but you have the spirit, energy, passion, love of what you're doing, and strength. I'm pulling for you for sure until the end of the build and after, like I've been doing when you started working on odd all those years ago.
I must say, I loved your van conversion. We all make mistakes on what we believe is the right direction we should choose. Look how many blessings you have now. Ollie is adorable. Family and memories are what make our lives complete. ❤.
I have been following you since you sold the old Odd boat. Honestly, I realy thougth that it would be very difficult to make all in Europe. I suggest you to bring the boat hull to a shipyard in Brazil so that you can finish the boat in a more convinient place.
About selling Odd, I think that was a good choice. Not only because of the baby but also because you are doing something new in live and on TH-cam. I liked you vlogs with Odd, but I can imagine more and more people are more interested in the build of your new boat. At least I am. Of course, with the van you lost viewers (less interesting and less vlogs) , but I expect from januari the subscribers will increase again. Good luck the three of you !
Hi english man in Germany I know exactly what you mean with culture, work etc I’ve been here 12 years still difficult sometimes even with a German wife ,but !!!! You got a new subscriber because of the van , keep up the great content
Despite all the mistakes and, perhaps sometimes, not making the best decisions, you should be proud that you didn't make the worst decision of all: not trying. It takes courage to pay the price to build a odd life.
Always remember to enjoy the journey. If everything was easy, you won't enjoy the fruits of your labor as much. I will continue to watch regardless of the content.
I lived in France several years, I know exactly how you feel about all the things you talked about. All so real and true, and stressing. I was wondering how long it would take you to say it. My advice: "When in Rome do like the Romans". My family and I did and it changed everything. In the end we enjoyed living there a lot and we all cried when time to leave arrived. Love you guys, time is on your side so keep the dream alive.
I feel for you guys...I am in a similar situation...I am also a Brazilian and am remodeling my 60 foot catamaran near Tampa Bay Florida...because i am in a small town labor is an issue...delays delays and more delays....France got to be 10 times worse...but you will get through it.....Abracos...:)...
Culture is an amazing thing. Canada being as big as it is has different types as you cross it. So embrace the difference between everything. I understand how difficult it can be when getting things constructed. Remember to mention that you will be using it in tropical locations and hopefully that will help. Supply's and the business will be difficult but let us know what and where you find it. Keep at it and thanks for sharing the hard side of making your own boat.
I built a boat over in total a 8 year period. Do not regret any of it and had a fantastic time and learning experiences with it. As I have always been very suspicious of bureaucracy I kept a very low profile and was only confronted with bureaucracy when I started sailing and learned to minimize it were I found them odious. it was a give and take situation and I had the freedom you do not have I was lucky I am told and there may be some truth in it but relying only on myself and ignoring convention as much as possible I had a grand time. Whish you only the best for the future.
it's a tough lesson you had to learn but it will make it easier for you to live and travel on your boat in the future... life is made of those small details that can and do get to bite you in the a... when you don't expect them
Everything has a purpose, including coming to France.I think you are aware of that when you look at your son Ollie! There is second most important reason that drives you forward, and that is the belief in success! Full support in further plans. I am sure that you will realized all dreams. I looking forward to every new video. I wish you a lot of health and happiness. God bless you all.
Think in rather of choices than regrets. You chose to sell Odd, you choose to build your own boat. Life is about choices. We make our choices and we live and learn by them. This philosophy has done me well. I too am a foreigner living in another country. Culture shock was my biggest obstacle but we learn from it. I hope you are in The Netherlands. Almost everyone speaks English. English speaking programs, boat suppliers. Whatever you need to build your boat you can find here. Good luck and if you are in Holland and need anything, feel free to contact me❤
The cultural shock for you guys must be huge. You come from sweet, warm and lovely brazil 🇧🇷 . Just finish the boat and sail back in couple of years, to paradise.❤
The van was no surprise to me, your videos started in Indonesia, then you travelled NZ in a van, built a container house, rescued a boat, so the van conversion really was just another step along the path, it made sense knowing what you knew when you bought it, so you made the best decisions you could at the time. The best lesson you can learn is to move your savings to the currency where your future expenses are going to be or the strongest most stable currency if unsure (If I know you'd kept your money in Brazil I would have said something), I was lucky learned this young, I wouldn't have meet my wife if her parents didn't do this. Oh the cutie-pie that is Ollie, he alone is good enough reason for this whole journey in Europe👍 Even as an Australian I found Europe expensive, so I understand how hard it must be for you with the real to euro conversion.
Duca and Roberta, you are right. I suggest you consider bringing the boat to Portugal to finish it. There is very good labor and a tax system designed for TH-camrs.
Might be an interesting idea except for the cost of transporting the hull to Portugal. Would suggest looking into the possibility of moving to Portugal. Good luck!
You had me at number one. The rest seems tough but doable, the paper work would break me. When you’re done you’re going to have one of the coolest boats ever though!
You are building a boat to travel to far off places. Keep it simple, cheaper to build and easier to fix in remote places. You are at the home of Joshua, a simple and effective boat. And my favourite ! Good luck.
That is exactly our though. When designing a boat in 2024 it is really easy to get cough and over complicate things,. In the past few months we are trying to simplify the boat us much as possible. And to put effort and money where it is really necessary, a strong hull, a really strong rudder system, rigging etc.🥰
Once the hull is finished, ship the boat to Brazil and finish it there. You probably have already explored that idea, and import taxes may be too much, but the benefit would be you could get people that you know and even volunteers to come help you finish it, taking another five years to finish the boat is too long, my friends. There are subscribers to your channel and patrons who are very skilled, and would probably be willing to come help you for weeks at a time. This was an interesting episode, and we love watching you. All of us are cheering for you. Namaste.

Ollie was slacking off on the subtitling duties this week? 🤣 One day he'll be able to help out 🤞
I can fully understand you’re struggling with culture and language!
Aw! How Cute ❤❤❤
Bye Ollie❤
I have been with you since the shipping container. I love what you do (even the van) I’m with you all the way!
O yeah, the container, mini house project!
I wonder how that place is doing???
Life happens when plans get in the way!
None of this is surprising so all credit you for undertaking this journey + new baby and you still manage to smile. We are on the journey with you no matter how long it takes
Making a family in France will make up for everything. Keep on trucking (ooops... sailing)!

You may not be the most competent sailors or the most watched content creators, but for sure you have the biggest hearts! Chapeau!

Keep doing what you’re doing, I watch because of both of you, you are entertaining, educational and most importantly inspirational.
AMEN!❤❤❤
Yes that's the secret .... food wine and bon Vivre and undermining their own system. 😉
'Warmest cultures', if you don't 'offend' them with no or poor French....arrogant bunch, the French and yes, I have visited there, NEVER again...
The changes in schools (not understanding the language) the changes in food, the changes in culture, the difference in life styles, etc..But the Americans were very open and supporting..We created a lot of new friends and gradually everyone spoke English and we settled ..(Now we all are American Citizens)
I also fully understand the bureaucratic drag of being a resident alien in France..The dual taxation system, etc..
But, in the end all will be resolved and your family will adapt to "La Douce France"..
Keep on following your dream..The road might be bumpy but...
C'est la vie ...
Why did you go to live in that madhouse? From the U.K. madhouse! 😂🤣😂🤣👍🏴
@ Business 👍
Both of you look very tired! Keep cool, breathe your air, take some rest and go back to fight. You were right to do what you decided to do! Go on, we are with you!!!
😂 but not quite as drained as the Sailing Magic Carpet couple.
You will find that in the long term the baby is the only thing that matters. You will eventually forget your troubles but baby is for ever. Love him unconditionally and all will be well. Good luck.
Ollie is priceless...more than worth everything.
Hats off to you guys! We all love you! And don’t worry, we will be here patiently waiting and supporting where we can! You’re my favourite sailing channel by far! ❤ just honest kind souls! Love you three
(Oh if you do need assistance with anything, I would be happy to come help you out)
Thanks so so much for you kind words Charlotte, they mean a lot to us! 🥰
I wish you all the best. Remember, when one door closes an other door wil open. I love to see your determination. Keep it up.
It's an odd life we all live- embrace it.
Great video - thanks for sharing the reality. Getting Ollie I am sure makes everything worthwhile. Keep up the great videos!
Imitation is the best compliment. Unbelievable project! Can’t wait to see you bump some icebergs in the arctic 🥶
I did enjoy the van episodes. I’ve been watching you guys since the beginning of the container house. Keep up with the positive attitude.
hi folks, appreciating a lot this video!
Roberta & Duca, congratulation on your son. I follow your weekly programme like gospel. It is well presented. Thank you.
Everything will work out in time.
I was interested in the van build as well as the boat build
Ollie is precious
See you the next video
Hang in there, you’re an inspiration and it will be worth it in the end. Take care guys 🇰🇾
I'm glad you are open about the challenges you face and am admiring your determination even more! I hope the future brings smoother " sailing" 🙏🙂
You are two lovely ambitious clever people, you will achieve your goal in the end with the boat and van ,
Stick with it, it will be worth it in the end you are doing a great job 🙂
My family built in 2 buses to motor homes. Mom made the design for both on paper to scale. Little cutouts moved on graph paper till it all fit. Mom even did some 3d mock ups out of cardboard. Try it all and you will find what works. Love this all. Olli will love what you build.
That's exactly what we want to do. It must be amazing to have this experience. 🥰
We all follow you, and support you. It is true that bureaucracy generate problems in France, even for us. Keep going, the result will be wonderful.
Ollie is adorable! I hope things go better for you soon.
Hang in there guys! Sounds quite difficult. And you have new time constraints with Ollie!
can't wait to see you side by side with Uma in the boatyard :D
Oli is your legacy. You both have a young salt on your hand. Live long and prosper. Stay safe.
Life is a constant process of decision making. Being a parent can be a very intensive process. Keep calm and carry on. Fair winds.
Be strong, you have an adorable baby, a beautiful boat under construction, a van and you are two adorable parents. What else?❤
Ollie is icing on your cake! A true culmination of the love your two share. Destiny has great plans for you. Love your little baby, he'll grow up so fast
Your child learning French is a good thing!! So having English, French and Spanish would be excellent!! Children can learn different languages very easily!!
Portuguese... Not Spanish...
True! But Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world!
But so is the Netherlands, Turkey, US, even Australia (I know about your previous adventures here on the Gold Coast!!)
Don't give up, we have your back. Love you guys!!
Another wonderful video guys. I'm afraid to say, you have chosen one of the most difficult countries for a non resident to live and work in.
Love the 3 of you, what ever you do stay strong, my wife and I will continue to follow Odd 2. ❤❤❤
Hang in there, keep up your energy, keep sharing your life with all its ups and downs....you're loved for it!
I have so much respect after watching this video ! keep praying and God will guide you, be blessed
Hi english man in Germany I know exactly what you mean with culture, work etc I’ve been here 12 years still difficult sometimes even with a German wife ,but !!!! You got a new subscriber because of the van , keep up the great content
😅🥰
Despite all the mistakes and, perhaps sometimes, not making the best decisions, you should be proud that you didn't make the worst decision of all: not trying. It takes courage to pay the price to build a odd life.
Well done guys - love you and Ollie is so sweet. Love your honesty. Bless.
Praying for you during this difficult time.
Always loved your honesty and candour. Keep at it. Your dreams will come true !
it's a tough lesson you had to learn but it will make it easier for you to live and travel on your boat in the future... life is made of those small details that can and do get to bite you in the a... when you don't expect them
Everything has a purpose, including coming to France.I think you are aware of that when you look at your son Ollie!
Good luck and if you are in Holland and need anything, feel free to contact me❤
Thanks a lot for the support my friend. We are close but not in the Netherlands. But I will be in Amsterdam next week for the Mets Trade Show. 🥰
The cultural shock for you guys must be huge. You come from sweet, warm and lovely brazil 🇧🇷 . Just finish the boat and sail back in couple of years, to paradise.❤
Very Happy for you guys ! Hopefully things will get easier soon.
You will have more than a boat...you will also have a life time of memories. Thanks for sharing.
Namaste.
