So many people discredit that important piece of information I can’t believe it in 2024! It really blows my mind sometimes getting food out and the amount of salt people ruined a meal with!!!
I just made red beans today with smoked pork necks. I usually use hocks but my local walmart is now stocking them so thought I'd try them out instead. It came out amazing and they had a surprising amount of meat that came off them. So good, i'll be using them from now on!
YOU people in the comments are so funny you guys are so concerned about why he didn't wash this or that do you even know how your food is handled before it gets to the grocery store if I told you you might be highly disgusted you might actually not want to buy any of the foods that's in some of your favorite grocery stores So think about that that before you worry about what someone does before they eat their food!!!! Educate yourself!! PLEASE
Yes, I believe they were smoked neck bones. And I know what you mean about money being tight. Hopefully you can find a store that doesn’t overcharge. Good luck brother!😊
Hey,partner, you cooked a very delicious looking serving of beans. I feel like breaking some cornbread an eating a bowl right now. Also the way you seasoned without loads of salt caught my attention too.
YES!!!! I am doing that right now. Breaking out that cornbread. I am making pinto beans, though with my smoked neckbones. Found this video and am cooking smoked neckbones for the first time. Whew does this kitchen smell good. Going to throw on some rice to finish up the meal and honey hush can't tell me nothing .... 🤣 LOL. I'm eatin. Anybody want to join me for dinner?
Great Video 80, so many other videos have the stock, seasoning salt etc added to the pot with the neckbones before cooking. The soduim level has to be insane. The way you prepare yours is imo the only way. You can always add later if needed but its impossible to take it out once the salt is in beans and the neckbones. It is the attention to these details that can make or break a meal. Thank and looking forward to more content. Charleston, SC here and we love our beans and neckbones!
You was supposed to take out the dirty water or what people say the foam out the water first
I love the concern about sodium levels great recipe! Thanks
Absolutely, this is how its done properly!

Smoked neck bones are already cooked, genius.
That was gross you didn’t washed the beans
They were frozen, you only wash the dry ones in a bag
@funkdawg214 you can tell he had no idea about cooking smh. The top comment person
It's the fact that they're FROZEN! u only soak n wash the dry ones!you clearly don't know ur way around the kitchen...go away from us with this!😭
Somebody always have something to say…. I would not give a fuck about watching somebody wash something…. that’s up to you I know what I gotta do!
