I tried it very quickly and it was difficult because of its weight. It made me hesitate to buy it because of that. But now when I see the children succeed in it... I really think I'm going to buy it. On the other hand, I'm afraid that the climb and descent will be tiring in the city. Thx for this good video.
"actually it's e-wheels wheel, so go ahead and drop it" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Man I laughed super hard at that. But I love the follow up of "wheels are meant to be ridden and dropped". Such a good mind frame, so many fun things I wouldn't have tried if I was worried about cosmetic damage to my wheel.
id personally go for a non suspension as beginner wheel like the classic 16s IMO the non suspencion wheels fine tune the muscle memory better but then alternatively if really need/want suspension then S16 or the older S18
If I was KS, I'd be very unsure how I'd feel about my new product as designated for kids. I'm guessing it could be a good thing if kids are the new market. I also discovered why I was never interested in this s16 or even the s19. No longer a kid & for sure, not a casual rider either. I hope KS's happy to own both segments 😅
my 8yo rides a nikola. i’d like to get her something newer with suspension but what suspension would work well with such a light rider? plus i want to be able to ride it occasionally. it’s a dilemma.
My daughter is 8 and I would love to get her to ride with me. She's only about 55 lbs so I think the modern suspension wheels are going to be outside of her abilities for awhile.
Listen if Nadia the EUC girl was able to do it, she can too 👍🏿. She first started riding an S18 years ago and has taken off since as we've seen. Now she could just be a rare breed but it can be done
Literally any wheel being made can be a beginner wheel. I've always advocated getting the best wheel that you can afford. If you learn on a "beginner" wheel you will soon outgrow it and will be itching to upgrade to a more powerful wheel. If you have any doubts that you'll continue in this sport, then try and buy an inexpensive used wheel to learn on.
I think so. Decent quality, relatively inexpensive, small and lightweight. If the purpose is primarily only to learn on, a cheaper option would be to look for a used non-suspension wheel which in today's market could be bought for 1/3rd the price of the S16.
As an old person (66) that had zero experience when I purchased an S16Pro, I can tell you that the S16 is not an easy wheel to learn on. I started learning on the S16Pro and was not happy with my progress, so I bought a V5F (half the weight of the S16) and it was so much easier to learn on... I was mounting and dismounting within a few hours and am able to travel any distance without stopping or falling off. I can do casual turns but cannot do tight turns (yet). I'm still unable to mount the S16 without holding on to something... but are getting better. If you learn from scratch on the S16, it is going to get a lot of dings and scratches... and potentially broken bits. At 30 kg, just hitting concrete at walking speed does damage to it. I'm glad I ended up getting the V5F asa well, as I'm not sure I would have succeeded mastering the S16. Maybe that's just me... as I said, I'm 66 (female) and weigh 73kg, but I am pretty fit and agile for my age (and compared to other people I know that are my age and even a little younger). I don't know what age you are referring to when you say "for an old person", but i guess I am definitely and old person, in terms of taking up EUC riding. Good luck (it is worth it).
Respectfully disagree. Kids are amazing at adapting to and riding big wheels. I've personally seen and ridden with kids as little as 6-years old with big wheels.
Agreed. Kids are way better at learning and can handle wheels that are proportionally much larger than most adults would be comfortable with. But should they? Unfortunately there is not a lot of choice. Personally I thought an s18 would be better.
Kids are unpredictable not as to ability or interest but as to judgement. Let your kids enjoy this in a very controlled environment or invite disaster. If they ride together in public and father is behind his kids he can guide them but they really have to be autonomous like jedi master level I did not see that and i’m not talking about balance or control it’s just not a little dangerous, it’s unpredictability of people compounded with kid brains.
Hello, I am very upset with you, calling an excellent UAC, such as a children's vehicle. You are completely wrong, it has outstanding features, much more than those other heavy and difficult to drive dinosaurs. This euc has nothing to envy the dinosaurs, heavy, uncomfortable and rigid like a robot. This wonder is super maneuverable, light, small: it fits anywhere, it climbs up to 48°, it has enough autonomy 120 klph. Because it is light, its touch is very fast, with a 3,000 W motor, it is much faster than moving 200 kg. The pro version has one of the best batteries on the market, the Samsung 50S, they deliver all the potential that the motor needs, avoiding cutouts. And since it occurs to you to say that because it is small it is for children, being small has countless advantages and is almost on par with the giant 200 kg dinosaurs. Its maximum speed is 60 kph, it is irresponsible to give a UAC to a child, to run at 60 kph, greetings
I didn't call the S16 a "Children's wheel". I'm saying that it can be used by children as clearly shown in this video. As an adult I'm enjoying riding the S16.
2:55 the best part of the video 😹😹😹
Great video marty , really cool of you to let him ride the wheel. On a side note i hope rogers back gets better soon
I’ll be rewatching this with my son to get him motivated to learn. He’s 5 😊
The KingSong 14D or 14S look to be much better suited for a ten year old.
Old wheels with no suspension and Justin wants to be able to ride 25+ mph with his children. The 14-series of wheels are too slow.
I see, I didn't expect you guys let a ten year old ride 25mph. Sounds a little crazy to me 😁
I tried it very quickly and it was difficult because of its weight. It made me hesitate to buy it because of that. But now when I see the children succeed in it... I really think I'm going to buy it. On the other hand, I'm afraid that the climb and descent will be tiring in the city.
Thx for this good video.
I like all your clips. Thanks for posting
My son is 7 and rides the master and T4.. He's a little beast already.
This wheel just screams beginner/casual/young wheel. Basically the V11 replacement that many today still really enjoy.
Awesome 😎 thanks Marty!!🙏

Glad you enjoyed it
Kids are pretty lucky when riding these. They don't have to bend down as much as adults lol.
Matter of fact, It would be a great thing if these guys hung around Nadia and got a chance to ride with her if possible

Yeah, the market for the S16 is very narrow :-)
my 8yo rides a nikola. i’d like to get her something newer with suspension but what suspension would work well with such a light rider? plus i want to be able to ride it occasionally.
it’s a dilemma.
It's tough. The S16 is probably the lightest suspension wheel available at this time.
The S18 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 or now the V11Y
Can the suspension be lightened up?
@@captnhuffy that’s my question too. Maybe I tune it as light as possible, and for her the suspension doesn’t do much unless she hits a big drop.
That was really scary video 🤪
My daughter is 8 and I would love to get her to ride with me. She's only about 55 lbs so I think the modern suspension wheels are going to be outside of her abilities for awhile.
You should get her a regular unicycle!
MTEN 4 or A2 with low tyre pressure might be a good option.
Listen if Nadia the EUC girl was able to do it, she can too 👍🏿. She first started riding an S18 years ago and has taken off since as we've seen. Now she could just be a rare breed but it can be done
I still think s18 would be a better choice for kids this size.
edit: could probably buy two used s18 for price of a new s16
Almost 10kg (22lbs) lighter and narrower as well. With such light rider small battery and overpowering not an issue.
Heal up Roger.
I would not have had that kind of confidence in my kids 🤣
Any recommendation for a beginner adult EUC? !38 lb's very fit, athletic with great balance 50+ Love your videos!

You don't need video games when you have electric unicycle!
Do you think that the S16 is a good choice for an old person who has zero experience? A good wheel to first learn on?

@@ElectricUnicycles thanks. Thanks for bringing important features into the conversation.. suspension too. Great advice.
@@ElectricUnicycles Is there a forum you would recommend?

@misubisu Wow! Now that is a great summary! I really appreciate it!
👍
I think it is too heavy for kids. Marty would you want to ride a 180lbs wheel?
Respectfully disagree. Kids are amazing at adapting to and riding big wheels. I've personally seen and ridden with kids as little as 6-years old with big wheels.

What is that scratching noise? I noticed it on your previous vid, but wasn't so obvious. Greetings from Ukraine
I think there's some dirt in the wheel well
nice
i would be vert careful with kingsong wheels because they literally never give parts and leave us on read all the time AS A DEALER

А почему такая музыка? Еще бы Похоронный марш Шопена включили...

Разве можно давать ребенку такую скоростную игрушку? Скорость должна быть ограничена 10 км/ч, не более!
As a parent everyone gets to make their own decisions.
