I test drove the 2014 Forte a few days ago and its very nice! Lots of features for the money. I like the flood lights under the power folding mirrors , keyless entry system, etc. Kia your ahead of the competition.
I own one, just like the one in the video, a blue loaded EX, and I love it. I was genuinely surprised by the car, and even more so by the dealership. I have put about 900 miles on it thus far and it has not diminished my love for this car. Seems it has more equipment than a corolla, a scion, or an elantra I had looked at. I have only one gripe with it, the speakers, wish they were a little louder, but that might be the MP3s I am using as a source.

Just bought one 3 weeks ago...wow it is refined, quiet, smooth and yes, even fun to drive! If you look at it's 0-60 time and figure 8 results, it is more than competitive with Mazda 3 and Focus! Hard for some to accept that Forte has caught up to, and in many cases, surpassed the competition!
Great value for the money!! Traded in my 2012 for the 2014. The LED lights in the front and tail lights garner a lot of admiring stares at night. This is one sharp looking car!! Kia has upped its game with the interior quality her too. Would definitely recommend this car to anyone.

According Motortrend, Kia Forte EX with 2.0 GDI engine is almost 2 seconds (1.8 sec) quicker than Honda Civic in 0-60 mph test and got gas mileage just slightly lower than Civic (about 0.5 mpg lower). Kia Forte EX is the one to get if you are shopping for a small sedan.
I own a 2010 Forte and waiting for the 2014 Forte Koup to come out. Having driven a Forte for 3 years, I wouldn't even consider its competitions - Toyota and Honda. The Forte is inexpensive, more reliable, and you get the most bang for your buck in terms of options and technology. My only regret is that they don't have a hybrid for it.
Sounds good so far! Hopefully the 1.6T in the hatch and koup will drive better and have decent mpg's

am looking at leasing one any current owners ? would like to ask your thoughts on it.
If there is one particular segment that Kia got right is this one. This car is good looking in the SX trim compare to 323, Civic, Focus. I own a spectra that thing has 150,000 miles in it. I just do the regular maintenance. Forte and the Sorento are the only vehicle in the Kia lineup that's dependable. Look it up.
This one is a winner.

Well, some of us are single and don't need the extra space a mid-sized car would provide. Sure, I could get a mid-sized sedan for a similar price--but it will usually just end up having more room than I need while chugging more gas.

still, think about it.. its a SMALL car, competes w the Civic, Corolla, and Elantra.. and a loaded one 26K? just like a loaded Focus.. now why would u buy a loaded loaded small car for 26k plus taxes almost 30K.. now w that money u can get a Family sedan fully loaded w more space, more power, quieter, for the same price... it just doesnt make sense at all...
Id take a loaded Elantra over this...
Front end is ugly and bug eyed in my opinion, and the tail lights were stolen from the Focus. Not impressed, the old one was way more sporty even though it's front end was similar to the Civic.
