Many Thanks for video. Confirmed previous garage had refitted pipes wrong way round causing intermittent engine cut out very had to diagnose. Your video confirmed blue pipe return to tank , black pipe feed from tank.
Awesome, and while holding a phone 👍👍 but damn it, with those gas vapors, i would not use a metal hammer. Screwdriver is fine if you hold it tight against the cover but then again. May be a piece of wood and a mallet would be preferable.
Friend help! I shorted the J17 slot for the relay, tested pump connector for power - Ok. When pump connected and I short the circuit for relay i can hear the pump but no fuel is coming out of the pipe. The garage replaced the pump 3 months ago
Hi Golf V 1.9Tdi - 2007. I changed the in tank fuel pump due to it not running. With the brand new pump - I found out it wont run as soon as the fuel filter holder is filled manually (with VCDS) with fuel - and when engine is running -> the in tank pump is NOT RUNNING. I can pull out the connector on the tank pump and the engine will run untill the fuel is finnished in the filter house. Relay works and this happens with two different relays. ANY ideas of whats going on?
I'm having a bubbling-like sound when the key is in the first position. It's like a periodic thumping sound, and it's causing the engine to stall gradually in 10 to 20 seconds. The mechanics here changed the fuel pump, the filter, the high-pressure sensor, and it still stalls. Can you please advise me on the issue if you know about such cars, please?
I have a 2009 Passat CC 2.0L TDI with a stuck fuel gauge (shows 1/3 full) and that's why I ran out of fuel (diesel)! Used a Foxwell diagnostic unit to check fuel gauge - did a full sweep, so suspect sender unit on tank fuel pump. Di you just take the fuel pump out, replace it and the problem sorted itself? Why did you add an additive?
I had a autoshutdown at entering the parking, and no start after that. Changed fuel filter, filled the housing with some extra fuel, started, worked for a few minutes only on 1800rpm. When releasing pedal engine died again. Went to diagnostics,it found only EGR fault, which I had before and didnt affect anything. After consulting several mechs, all said fuel pump relay. I bought relay and the in-tank fuel pump just in case. Couldnt find the relay so went for the pump, replaced it,a few spinnings and started,no further problems. Still dont know where is that relay.
Thanks for the video bro ... it helped me because the mechanic did not properly connect the return and inlet hose well, turned them around and the car ran out 15 km and then went out, but then it can again start with a little bit of torment ... thanks
Thanks so much for this video. It is very important to reconnect the pipes on the correct pump fittings. A friends car has been having intermittent engine cut out maybe 3 or 4 times per year......Turns out his garage refitted pipes wrong way round. Your video confirmed for me the return pipe is blue and feed pipe black. Many thanks
Never just test drive after reconnecting the black and blue lines.. Always.. Always.. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position and check for leaks at the black and blue connectors. Ignoring that step mine cause you to have a gas leak that you covered back under the black cap. No leaks the start the car and recheck for leaks before reinstalling black cover and rear seat. THIS COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE AND YOUR GAS!!

vcera som kupil VIF /ten je najlepší na prečistenie palivoveho systemu - až na to že ho treba dávať stále/ z toho plyne zaver že ked máš s autom problém tak VIF ti ho nevyrieši
Thank you Golf Wagon, swapped out the fuel pump and kept the original sender unit
I come back later, must play now! Your a star! Thank you for all your helpful tutorials one handed too!

Exactly the same problem right now in this moment haha

If you do this, please watch it after the first run of the pump under presssure for a while, it can leak if the fuel line was not 100% anymore!

It is under the steering wheel. You will need to take a few panels off.
