I was a bug collector and now I'm a bug photographer and your song just made the day of so many I know, me included. Not sure about the rest of your catalog but you have a new follower. Awesome Jesse, if the bugs could understand you wrote this, the mosquitos and ticks would give you a wide berth when you walk out into their territory. Keep up the cool lyrics
Dude, I’m 62 years old. I was young but I listened to Bob Dylan, Hendrix, Buffalo Springfield, Arlo Guthrie, Janis Joplin, Pete Seeger…. You’ve connected with me. You’re extremely talented. Your sound is spot on. You’re telling it the way it is. Please, please, please stay away from alcohol and those damn drugs. Those things have stolen too many talented people like you away from us.

My boy was recently born at 29 weeks. I have yet to get to hold him as he is in the NICU but some of the things i can do is read to him and play him music. I love to just hangout with my boy and sing/listen to the bugs song. For roughly 2 minutes or so both of our worries just melt away. We are just two guys separated by a plastic tube just hanging out. Thank you Jesse!
It’s not just the lyrics of a simple song about bugs. It’s the tune. The tempo. The melody. The sound. The voice. It just makes me smile and feel happy again. Thank you.
