Good video man. It really helped, especially on the gasket holes. I soaked my rusty bolts with BLASTER and let it set for a few days. Those rusty bolts finally came loose.
Thank you for the information and here's a funny story I bought the same exact EGR valve from autozone it arrived today made by the same company but it cost me $135 thru autozone online crazy huh oh and it recommended me to purchase a gasket but yet it came with one but I think the felpro gasket is of better quality well brother thanks for the information I appreciate it
AutoZone stuff anymore is crap and very very expensive. You could get the same parts on eBay so much cheaper even though I hate eBay for car parts ect, but that's all we have to work with these days
Thank you for the info, I ordered mine for 02 regal LS from parts geek. I hope the gasket fits but if not and if old gasket is bad, will permatex ultra black gasket maker work for this?
Thank u for video. Subscribed! One question. If I have a scanner to erase the code, do I still need to undo battery? I hate messing with batteries, I've seen them explode! Thank u!
Oh man u should just delete your EGR ! ive got an Aussie L67 & they came without the EGR system fm factory ! I guess its an emission thing. But our N/A 3800 did come with the EGR system ! Oh well liked your video very professional & informative..
Ok we unplugged the sensor that is on the piece between the air intake and the air filter box and the wire is beside the radiator hose and it reved back down and so would you happen to know what sensor that is or what that wire goes too
Cheap Chinese crap part. That's why it doesn't fit properly the gasket. This is what we have to deal with today, but the virus from China was not cheap and last that's for sure, But everything else doesn't last. And a lot of these parts that were made good you can get anymore. Most of the parts on the GM 3800 or discontinued from GM dealership. Now we're stuck to buy this cheap crap
You can literally buy parts from ac Delco which is factory gm, are you not in America? Because parts are plentiful for these where I’m from, new and used.
Once in a while a video is super useful. This is one of those times.❤
Top tip on using paper. It’s never crossed my mind. To think of all the nuts and bolts that has done a plinko game on me over the years. Lol
lol
Really appreciated your concise explanations and solid camera work!
Much appreciated!

@@jeff-f7gsame here I ordered one of eBay for like 20 bucks but I hope that it works out for me because I know it’ll be a cheap part
AutoZone gives a lifetime warranty on most parts that what you pay for, any part that goes bad throughout the rest of your life simply return
good job never used paper to hold a nut that's a cool idea !!!!!!
Thanks for watching

I don't think it would, maybe some high temp RTV would
@@TattsForLife thanks I appreciate it.

Welcome!
When this goes bad does it cause the engine to rev up and not let it go back down
Not as I seen, it would cause the engine to stall out, sounds like you have a sticking throttle body, or vaccum leak
Ok we unplugged the sensor that is on the piece between the air intake and the air filter box and the wire is beside the radiator hose and it reved back down and so would you happen to know what sensor that is or what that wire goes too
not right off, but may be the TPS sensor
Ok thank you
10mm socket ?
I don't remember the socket size I used in the video
13mm
How long do I it last
its still working
Is it still working??
yes
I've never heard of where you have to disconnect the battery to replace the EGR on the 3800 gm V6?
It just safety reasons, you suppose to disconnect it anytime you unplug something
Kind of common sense when you mess with anything with an electrical whip dude...
How u kno yo egr valve bad
It ran really bad, and loss of power, hard starts and more
Hey mate your motor is facing the wrong way
I know lol

parts are hard to find for the 3800 even in a pull a part
