New Font Identifier in Adobe Illustrator | Retype (Beta)

Thanks for the tutorial. Unfortunately, the results are not very satisfactory. Before remembering that Illustrator had this feature, I did things the slow way and used the filters in Adobe Fonts to find a similar font myself. Then I tried the Retype tool to see if it would find the same one or maybe one that was closer that I might have missed. The Retype tool didn't even suggest the one I found that was the closest match, and suggested several others that were nothing like what I was looking for. (The type I was trying to match was a Script, and it suggested a very heavy, blocky sans serif, among other non-matches!) Adobe has some work to do!

You are right. This feature came like almost a year ago and it's still in beta. This was a new feature, so I just showed how to use it. I too use the slow and manual way :)

I really can't believe it does not include a OCR feature to copy the text. It's frustrating.

Yes, sadly, the Font Identifier feature should have also come much sooner.
