  • Take a closer look at operations on the layout. In this video, we will share some information and details on an Asheville-based local, NS P87, which services the S-line and the industries on it. Today, the locals work includes picking up woodchip cars at Old Fort and bringing them back to Asheville yard. The sounds in this video are from the decoders with some ambient and railcar noises overlaid. Thanks for watching!

I used to build those NFS locomotives at progress rail. I dropped the generator, engine and compressor. Aligned them and mounted them after alignment. It was a fun job. Your work on this layout brought me back, Nice work!

Neat thing about the ABS Signals, down here on the AGS North, they dont stop for a signal like that when approaching the siding's block. With the help of how meets are coordinated in my town, the trains roll by the stop and proceed signal at restricted speed and stops short of any obstructions.

I have to say I just love the detail in Video. Specifically the weathering and rust on the engines themselves. The faded paint effects and little touches of rust here and there make them look so much more authentic and less plasticy. That, to me, makes it more fun to watch as it feels less like people just playing with toys and more like people thoroughly enjoying their hobby and passion for model trains. Kudos on the layout as well. The little touches were so obvious and the whole layout seems very well planned out and executed. Also I wanted to pint out that I loved the Graffiti on the rolling stock. I actually like to watch as trains pass just to get a look at some of the "Rolling artwork" you get to see. And I noticed one or two familiar designs on the cars that are similar to what I have seen on the real trains rolling through my town.
