Really amazing and beautiful pictures you took with that rig. I heard very good things about the Redcat 51..and it really shows it. Can you tell me with which camera you used it. Thank you

Hi there! Thanks! The camera I used is the ZWO ASI 294MC. It is a color camera. The Redcat 51 is for me the best wide view scope one can have. But to take those pictures, you need to be away from light pollution of the city. Otherwise you will need a light pollution filter. Let me know if you have any other question. I will be happy to answer!

Thanks a lot for the useful infos...as a matter of fact I live in a Bortle 6 area and a neighborhood largely illuminated..that's sucks. 😢 Can't wait to see my own redcat 51 taking such beautiful pictures. Along with the redcat I'm evaluating of buying a player One - Uranus C camera that has the new Sony 585 sensor. Heard good things about it. Once in a while I drive about 3hrs in order to have a Bortle 3 area which is a blessing for me. As for the moment I'm using a Fuji XE3 with a Samyang 135mm f/2. Thanks again for the Infos. Wish you cear skies my friend.

is that crop in your pictures or its like that normally because i wanted to see how it will look on stellarium and it shows a much bigger area

I normally do not do any crop in my pictures, only in the very edge and it is done automatically by the WBPP in pixinsight. That said, in the videos I zoom-in quite a lot sometimes. You can check my page on Astrobin to see the full resolution images www.astrobin.com/users/LookSpaceThings/

Really nice pics, I have the same camera and scope although a Ioptron Skyguider pro, I have not used it for about 2 yrs as I got a bit frustrated setting it up, I have the ASI AIR PRO which helps but finding the targets is another thing, I managed to get Orion Nebula, Pleiades and the green comet 2022? , I am trying to save up for the AM5. The thing that confuses me is that everyone seems to take nice shots with the Redcat51 and the 294MC Pro but when you put he figures in the Astronomy setup calculator and simulator I get significant undersampling.
    Aperture 51.02mm /2.01 inches
    Maximum Magnification :102.04x
    Resolving Limit (Dawes): :2.2736" arcseconds
    Resolving Limit (Rayleigh): :2.7048" arcseconds
Visual Magnitude Limit: : mag 11
    Native Focal Length / F: 250mm / F4.9
    5x Rule (Ideal Planetary F-Ratio): F23.2
    7x Rule (Ideal Planetary F-Ratio): F32.4
    Ideal Resolution : 0.67" - 2" arcseconds
    Resolution 3.8200" arcseconds per pixel
    Sampling Significant Undersampling ⚠⚠⚠
    Camera Chip FOV 4.40° x 2.99°
It is definitely a big learning curve

Thanks! Well, I am not sure you why you got frustrated, problems with the mount? AM5 is on my buying list but I think the AM3 is sufficient for the Redcat 51 and less expensive. Regarding the undersampling, I guess you are using the astronomy tool CCD suitability. It seems that any ZWO camera will give undersample result. To be honest, I think the quality of the sky is much more important. I travel 1h30 every session for a bortle 3. If you use Pixinsight to post-process, you can use drizzle in the WBPP to improve the detail results of a undersample image. Just make sure you are dithering during aquisition. For me 1x drizzle better than 2x. Clear skies!

Thanks for the reply, I am future proofing just in case I get a bigger scope , with the mount it is not a goto mount, my fault for jumping in I suppose , anyway it takes a bit of practice to get to your object, I retire next year so I will have more time on my hands and be able to concentrate more. At the moment it is cloudy and raining here. I live in a country city, so they keep adding more sub divisions, I am about a 2hr drive from the Parkes radio telescope in Australia and plenty of dark spitd. Clear skies.

the telescope is an ok price but the mount is very expensive

That's true. This mount is in fact too much for this telescope. There are cheaper options like the skywatcher star adventure GTI that would cost much less
