    I always think.... wow... when you hit making soap in molds That make about 100 bars and buying coconut oil in 5 gallon buckets.... then you have hit the big league's. ... you always blow those ideas away and show us to aim higher. Thanks for the vid! :)

    💙💙💙👸YAY, YOUR DREAMS MADE REALITY!!💙💙💙
    I'm so proud of you and your hubby!🛁🚿🌞
    I LOVE YOUR "AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" 🙌MOMENTS!👏👍
    👸JOANNA, I LOVE YOU and WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN, WHO YOU ARE (TERRIFIC), AND I'M SO HAPPY FOR YA!!🌝💖
    My goals are much smaller in scale for soaping due to my multiple health conditions BUT YOU MAKE ME BELIEVE I CAN ACHIEVE MY GOALS!
    I've gotten organized, have my laptop and phone for videoing, finished my soap room before my last surgery and waiting for it to heal (my 29th, most in the last 5 years).
    I'm on diisability so I'm limited to what I can make, HOWEVER, I don't have the funds to buy Soapmaker3 that I desperately need to get going. If I don't have it, I can't figure prices, reorder, etc., you know what I mean. I have a different style and audience but I'm so excited to start soaping again and to START videoing! I'm very nervous to put myself out there.
    Do ya have any suggestions at all for me? Please let me know.
    💙💙💙💙💙THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO TO HELP OUR SOAPING COMMUNITY!! 💙💙💙💙💙YOU'RE THE TRUE SOAP QUEENIE! 💙💙💙💙
    Love ya, girley. Wish I could meet ya someday!

    Hey Joanna, it's Deb here. I am News you're cold process I have been doing Melt and pour for a little while now. I would love to be able to do both. Where is it that you're finding most of your equipment? I am looking for a wholesaler that carries the majority of what I need instead of having to go to multiple sources. I just now started getting moved into my soap Room. Is a
    12x12 room that requires some great organizational skills lol. I can only go vertical at this point. Lol. I'm so happy for you that you have got your dream soap shop. The name of my store is
    Deb's Dream Store. I make artisan soaps with melton poor and I have just recently started trying some hot process and cold Process as well. I have taken on a silent partner And hoping to be able to purchase equipment . Lots of imbed molds, cutters abs most basic tools for melting pouring, and packaging. Im starting an etsy store right now but would love to do retail. I've been reading and watching awesome videos of both the success stories and the not so success stories.. They are definite when teaching me a lot. I'm learning specialties soaps is where it's at and those take a lot of time and thought to produce. Still rusty on techniques , I still am not 100% ready to place my items in my at the store. Should be within the Month. Not near the Size, that you have. I think I would have a heart attack, if it did happen overnight. They say lot of people have overnight success but don't realize how much work they've done in the background. Some people have been work in 10 To 15 years before they finally come close to making it. It's alott easier today. Thank God. Take care and God-bless Deb

    Love it!!! It would really be a dream come true to have a space like this. I have a question about how you found a space that would work for you? I have looked into retail spaces, commercial spaces, office spaces and cannot find anything like this! Did you buy or do you rent, if you don't mind me asking?

    I saw the video about how you begun with Whole Foods. Was that the door open and wide for you now?

    Great tour, Thank you!! I'd love to have you talk about air quality control. I've just moved into 1200 sq ft, scaled up production, and the collective scents of all the curing soap, etc. are overwhelming me. People walking by or visiting always rave about how good it smells, but they don't spend all day there! What type of air cleaning & air exchanging do you have? It's a commercial building & & leave the fan running 24/7, as well as two small ionic air cleaners I brought from home. I leave the door open with a fan when the weather is good, but that won't work in the winter! Not helping too much. Anyone have good suggestions?

      This. The one thing I kept thinking on the tour was man oh man I hope there's good ventilation in there. Cause otherwise you're risking your health.

    Joanna , I have a question about figuring out what a mold holds. Where is the best place to ask this question? I bought 3 of those dough trays you showed us but unsure how much it holds. I know the formula L x W x H x .40 but not sure if that’s total oil or total batch? Thank you! ( guess I asked that here!!)

    • @TheSoapGal
      @TheSoapGal  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My batches are 35 lbs if you need more help please ask again

    • @lynnkeiter1855
      @lynnkeiter1855 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My dough tray measures 23.75 L x 15.75 W x 2.75 H and doing the math I come up with 411 oz =37 lbs...is that what you get with these measurements? Thank you!

    • @jenniferkleffner8110
      @jenniferkleffner8110 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's oils, not total recipe. But it will also depend on the amount of water you are using, (assuming you're talking about soap). So keep good notes and know that the first batch will be a trial run.

    Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’m a first time soap maker and it’s hard trying to figure out a good recipe. So my question to you is. What is a really good basic beginner recipe? I have olive oil, coconut oil, Shea butter, palm oil, and jojoba oil on its way. My first batch got thick quick fast! Is there any advice you have for me.

    • @TheSoapGal
      @TheSoapGal  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Artesha Green KISS it, keep it simple. You need to learn the all you can about trace. There is so many great recipes out there! Loving Soap, Soaping 101 ect but one of my favorite is 40% olive 40% coconut 10% Shea butter 5% castor 5% jojoba great bar of soap run it through soap cal or soap maker 3 5% super fat(lye discount) hope that helps

    • @NYtalk60
      @NYtalk60 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. I'm sure you'll get a response from her. But I'd like to suggest Soaping 101 on TH-cam. Go the site and to videos. You'll have to far down find the how to make soap video, but totally worth it.
      She's excellent with new spapmakers. She will give a basic recipe that can start you on your journey!
