Place a small red solo cup around the base of your Squash and Zucchini transplants or allow the seeds to grow up through it. Protects from the squash vine bore.
Thanks for that information
Did that didn’t work
@@bethalvarez6956I’m thinking to maybe fill the cup with dirt and plant some mint in it.
I hate that squash bug..😞😞😞
Done the same thing with mine .. went for a walk and someone put out a lot of bamboo sticks ,I save money instead of buying..Great video 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💚💚💚💚🌱🌱🌱💫👋🏽💎🦋🇬🇧
Wow nice great find I love a sale or a deal or even a freebie thank you for watching happy Gardening my friend🥰💚🪴
Nice...! You can also use that method to grow beans and cover with insect netting to keep that little white butterfly from laying eggs on your plants 😊
I love to see that you have your cage upside down. I suspected that in some cases it could be more practical especially when it deals with zucchini, butternut squash, but I was not sure. Tomorrow I will put my zucchini cage upside down. Tks.
Hi T, I found your channel this past weekend and absolutely love it. I recently became a first time plant mom and I'm so excited about started my container garden on my small patio. I look forward to the day when I can create a garden like yours.
Wonderful! Welcome I love to hear about your garden Journey!!!! Happy gardening💚
Thanks T. I will definitely try planting my squash in pots this year. I plan to cover them with loose fitting tulle fabric to hopefully keep out the squash bugs. I hate them so much I decided to stop growing squash all together but your video inspired me to give it one more try this year. Thank you
Hi Beautee! I love that idea for the squash. Do you train the squash to go up the stake, so it grows vertically? I would be interested in seeing your plants as they grow. Thank you for that great idea, I think I will try it on mine. I'm new to your channel and have been enjoying your videos. Thank you
Thanks for the info! What did you mean when when you said you attach it to the bamboo stake with velcro? Velcro strips?
I Velcro the main stem to the bamboo post. Thank you for you time!
What is the Chi name we have 2 Gracie which is the size of yours, and Darcy which is larger.
My old lady name is Shia she is 14 years old 🥰💚🪴my precious
What a great way to use tomato cages on plants in containers!!
I've got some with both a bamboo stake and bamboo arch.
Love your channel
I am so glad you made this video! This is my first year planting squash in a 5 gallon bucket. They’re growing so fast, I was just thinking today how in the world am I gonna be able to handle them!
Thank you so much for sharing! Blessings sis!
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate you so happy I was able to show you how I manage my squash and zucchini happy gardening🪴💚 You got this‼️
Hi Tee, great idea will be doing it. Hope mine does not blow away because the bags will be sitting on concrete. I do have the bamboo sticks. I was glad to see you were using 5 gallon pots. I will be using 5 gallon too. my 10 gallon will be filled with corn, pepper, and okra. I will use 5 gallon for zucchini, cucumber, yellow squash, and watermelon because I will not have enough space in my garden.
How do you prevent the squash bugs from attacking you squash plant. I garden in pot also. Last year I lost all my plants, a total of 6. I'm not discouraged by last year will try again this year. I will keep them on the outside of my driveway urban farmers. Last year I had them in the middle and did not notice until it was too late . Not to worry I threw out that soil last fall because I told they will over winter in the soil t(he squash bore bugs). I always reuse my soil, of course every pot is amended every year. Loving your video. Can't wait to introduce you to my husband.
I like how you did that. I'm going to do the same in my garden.
So, Happy to hear that!!! We spend a great deal on are garden and the tomato cage we have to find better usage of them!! Happy Gardening🪴
Wow love the content I am definitely going to try this idea. I have my tomato cages in mine but not upside down
It is crazy how I have tomato cages but I’ve barely ever use them for tomatoes I always used him for peppers or my squash or other plants so I hope you enjoy the video happy Garden my friend💚🪴🥰
I use to garden in the ground, but when I move I of to do gardening in containers and grow bags. I was thinking I would miss growing zucchini, because the lack of room. I of to try doing this on my small deck! Until I have land!
Great video and job thx for sharing and the info Be safe God Bless
Great way of utilizing your tomato cages to actually be very functional because we really don’t use it for tomatoes really like that
Hi, The Bull I just love how you garden!! Just beautiful💚 Do you have a mailing address in can use
I just subscribe it's 4/5/24 1st. Time viewer do u remember what time of season u planted them. And my other question?? can u plant half & half in the same container? Squash & zucchini?? The u. 😊
This is another way I use my tomato cages.lol but the ones in the ground I let them be FREE!
I understand that Are squash in ground will grow so big! Happy gardening🥰💚‼️

Zip ties used on top of wire cage to secure top works a lot better and quicker. Cut off excessive of zip ties. To secure bottom of tomato cage on the bottom so it is nice and study do this. Drill 4 holes on the sides of the containers.Insert a zip tie into the holes of container and wrap around the wire tomato cage.Pull tight and cut off excess. Makes really sturdy base for your squash or tomato plants.
Is there a follow up vid as the squash griw up tge cage?
Yes
How cool! I have 5 or 6! Thank you for the idea💚🌺😘
You are so Welcome!!! Happy Planting💚🪴
Hey Tee we really appreciate you sharing this tip, especially the part it don't have to look pretty lol

After watching this I think I may buy some bags and grow my squash in them! How do you keep squash bugs away from them?
Honestly doing a early morning walk helps a ton to find your pest in the garden 🪴 look for squash bugs eggs and remove them 💚Happy Gardening
👍🏾
💚
Are you going to grow them vertically? Would love to see how you do that! Many Utbers talk about it but don’t show how to do it. Many thanks!
Okay I will try may best to film that process. Happy Planting💚

I looked but I did not find your video on How to Train your Zucchini to climb
Very clever!
Thank you!
Enjoyable very helpful ☘💖
Thank you as always 🥰
very nice content. Thanks
Thank you, happy gardening 💚
NICE VIDEO. I USED TOMATO CAGES FOR MY SQUASH LAST YEAR. AWESOME TO USE. BUT I USE THEM OPPOSITE WAY BECAUSE THE SQUASH PLANTS GROW REALLY BIG AND THEY NEED THE AIRY SPACE TO SPREAD OUT. ALSO IT MAKES IT EASIER TO TRIM DEAD OR YELLOWING LEAVES. I DO INTEND TO USE YOUR METHOD WHEN GROWNING MY PEAS IN MY BUCKETS. IT WILL BE THE PERFECT SOLUTION! THANKS FOR YOUR TIPS!
Thank you, great idea!
Glad it was helpful!💚 Happy Growing
Thank you for sharing ❤ aloha from big island 🏝️
What a great idea. I may try it for my cucumbers.
Bush master Cucumber would work Great💚 Happy Gardening
@@BeauteeInTheGarden thanks.
I Love your Idea 😊 on my way to the garden right now
You could use a hose clamp to hold the top together.
How do you control the powdery mildew on your plants?
I spray with milk and water
@@BeauteeInTheGarden Really, milk stops mildew? What about mold on your seedlings?
@@Sweetlady1916 she must be joking 😀
Hi. Love your videos. I need some advice please. I'm a beginner. I planted some tomatoe and lettuce. They have been growing ok. They are still small and yesterday I noticed 2 brown spots on the leaves. I wish I could send you a picture. Your plants look so healthy.
I planted them from seed. I have them in containers on my back deck
Great idea!
