I used to use old pantyhose to hold the squash and zucchini on the trellis when they started getting larger. If pantyhose is no longer available (and it probably isn't - it's been a while since I've been able to garden), then maybe old t-shirts would do. Whatever is strong and stretchy.

I started yellow zucchini late because I missed planting them at normal times, they didn't come up so I planted more. Well, the first planting came up and so did the second one. I have 6 squash in a 4x4 area with a roma tomato in there too. LOL! Well, looks like this might work for me in a 27" raised bed! We shall see because I ain't ripping out perfectly good plants putting on blooms in August! 😊👍💕 My first garden after 30+ years without veggies! It feels good to grow food again. You two are adorkable. I've heard here and there people talk about trellising their zukes and squash, but have never really seen it up close like you showed. I might try it for our "winter" garden, since we have an additional growing season. If it makes seeing the things better, I'm all for it, versus finding a baseball bat sized zuke hiding out under a plant.

We are homeschoolers. Our co-op has been canceled all of 2020 and for the Fall semester as well. It’s a bummer but understandable. Many schools in our areas are scrambling to get their systems in order. We feel for them and the families affected by it. We count ourselves blessed we were already in a place to educate at home. It is not easy and no doubt very difficult for so many to be thrown into.

We trellised our pumpkins and cucumbers on 7' fence posts and garden fencing and cattle panels. We did have to support the pumpkins with onion & potato mesh bags because the vines grew so fast this year once the rains started, though. {East Central Indiana]
