nice races. That VW moves. Everyone saying that if the RSX was turbo'd it would whoop the VW. Well no shit. Put the same comp ratio in the VW as what's in the RSX, hight lift and long duration N/A style cams in the VW, balanced crank to rev to 8,000 and it would fly just as hard as the RSX. Both different engines built to make power in different places. One isn't better than the other because "N/A car almost beat a 'big turbo' Golf" GT28 isn't even a big turbo. A 6262 is a big turbo for a 4 cylinder. Not knocking any cars in the video, that's what makes racing fun and interesting.
I have a 1.8t. I am currently doing a build, but realistically speaking--the rsx is the better bang for the buck compared to the 1.8t. In a few months I should have videos of me against my two friends that are also modding their cars: Twin turbo g35 vs. PTE 5857 1.8t vs. Turbo RSX type S. Coming soon

Current: Uni stage 2, Short RAM, 3" straight pipe, Racing axle, rear struts, forge 007 splitter, forge quick shift kit, injectors, drilled slotted rotors, few other things. Currently at 270hp, 300tq/ Goal: 350hp, 400tq Trying to stay withing 5-6 grand budget. Know I need big turbo and FMIC but what else? Wondering if I can get by with mostly stock internals. Thoughts.

yonkersracing that vw I ran had to have 300+ whp easy my buddies celica gts with a pt6262 and a built head with 275fwhp was neck and neck with me thats on my channel as well this vw was way faster then the gts and much heavier to.
Javi 5000 I saw that coming. You can't say the sti is a bad car, but what most sti owners do with 40,000$ you can do with 4,000$. Unless you enter rally comptetions an sti is just a car you buy for the prestige.

for That turbo nothing crazy just fmic upgraded dp intake dv n keep it under 320 hp and tq it's just bolting ons for more power need upgraded connecting rods
See you ignorant VW fanboys, it takes a turbo upgraded 1.8T or 2.0T to mess with YRs basically stock motor 2.0 liter RSX....just a couple bolt ons and cams with a great tune by Xenocron Tuning...and still barely almost edges the turbo upgraded car that's obviously easily making over 300+whp....the second gear roll, RSX was in front till he wound out 4th gear and then he got out of it instead of shifting 5th
That gti stock comes 180hp with 170ft lbs torque..rsx is cammed and tuned far from stock tht gti engine probably still stock with a bigger turbo and tune and a downpipe thts it with a intercooler both great cars
Fabian Wiltshire my car has a stock engine with a couple intake/exhaust mods and a set of cams.....the gti has just as much bolt ons, if not more and a bigger turbo than stock and running a lot more boost as well....I knew it wasn't really a fair match up, but I ran it anyway....if my car was on the bottle it would have been a fair run.

Bigger than stock I think they mean......if that car had a K03 it woulda been a much different race.

A K03 @ 20psi and a GT28RS @ 20psi are completely different animals.
yonkersracing guy didn't want to spill the beans about the exact turbo but he was doing 12s on street tires with horrible 60fts.
