Honestly 5% is most likely made up but its probably not too far from truth.
Im guessing there are 16 random permutation to select from and only 1 starts in Nav. So 1/16 is 6.125% would suprise me
Toast is actually 100% right on that number, there are 20 combinations of wires on shelf with only one, (navigation, cafeteria, security) starting with wires there, hence the 5% (1/20).

Not really, and i can explain why. There are 20 possible combinations but the question was if it was possible to do a single wire on navigation at the start of the round, meaning that for this context it's a much larger chance than 5%
@@MarangTerap No it's not because if wires in navigation are first, the only wires you can have after it are cafeteria and then security. There is no other order of wires that starts with navigation first. The order of wires has to be in this order: electrical, storage, admin, navi, cafe, security. If you start in electrical you have 4 possibilities for your second wire. If you start in navi, there's only one possibility for your second wire and consequently one possibility for your last wire.

Here’s a play inspired from our boys Dumb and Dummer: act like a jester as a crewmate. Then, be ultra sus of those who think you’re jester
There should be 3 people who protest voting you out (if mistaken for the imposter trying a play), the 2 imposters (because voting the jester would be a lose for them) and the actual jester (because it brings the imposters closer to a win when the game doesn't end).
Here's hoping that 5up doesn't see this

I have been thinking about that for awhile! I feel like it works best when someone becomes extremely suspicious that you’ve killed. At that point, you just gotta make it seem like you may have killed.

Toast is actually right and I’m sure he did the math he’s that smart, the are 10 combinations of wires that start in electrical, 6 combinations that start in storage, 3 combinations that start in admin and just 1 that starts in navigation. 1/20 chance of wires starting in navigation which is 5%

Nav has a 5% chance of being your first wire. There is 20 possible combinations, and nav can only start 1 of the combinations.
Best part being, if you DO have nav wires, that means you HAVE to follow up with cafetaria and security. Meaning starting at Nav is actually the easiest to plan out task route.

But thats not particularly rare is it? You line 10 people up and at the start of the round they roll a D20... how many rounds before someone is almost certainly going to roll a 20? 3... 4? They play for hours and hours surely it must be rarer than that if it's a novelty to them

2nd: "No one" saw it before (Toast sussed Janet on that) => it's a 50/50: '0%' or 'very rare', which mean it could be 1/20 => 5% (maybe 2/20 => 10%, but 10% just didn't sound "very rare")

It's true that there's a 5% chance that a specific person has first wires in navigation, but the problem is that there's 8 crew members.
The chance of at least 1 crew member getting that 1/20 is about 33.66%

Well in theory, it's a 5% chance he has the wires and 95% he doesn't. So if he is doing them there is a 95% he is faking them, right? So either jester which is 1/10 or imposter 2/10. 3 Roles which would fake them, maybe 2/3 chance for imposter and 19/20 he is faking them leaves 19/30 chance they are imposter? Am i wrong?

@@SaphirBeere No, there's 3.5% chance that he has that specific order of wires (70% chance he's crew and 5% chance he has that order of wires KNOWING he's crew, basically 0.7 times 0.05 which gives 0.035, aka, 3.5%) and the chance of him being impostor is always 20%. The only way u can calculate the probability of someone being impostor knowing the order of there wires is if u assume that the impostor chooses the order to fake randomly (otherwise u need more data to which u dont have access) and in that case the probability of them being impostor knowing the specific set of wires that the person did is... wait for it... 20% xD

I looked it up, according to a wikia there are 20 wire sets.
10 begin in electrical
6 begin in Storage
3 begin in Admin
1 begins in Navigation. Or 5%

There are 6 wires locations, and they'll always be given in order:
1. Electrical
2. Storage
3. Admin
4. Navigation
5. Cafeteria
6. Security
The 20 possible wires orders are 123 124 125 126 134 135 136 145 146 156 234 235 236 245 246 256 345 346 356 and 456. Only one of those starts with Navigation. It is genuinely a 5% chance.

Toast did not make up the 5% number. It's true. There's 6 wires, and they always go in the same order: Electrical -> Storage -> Admin -> Navigation -> Cafeteria -> Security. Electrical has a 50% chance of being the first one, Storage has 30%, Admin 15%, and Nav 5%. Caf and Sec can never be FIRST wires. Likewise, Sec has 50% chance of being the last wires, Caf 30%, Nav 15%, and Admin 5%. Elec and Storage can never be LAST wires. And then, Admin and Nav have a 30% chance of being second wires, and Storage and Caf have a 20% chance. Elec and Security can never be SECOND wires.
One of the jesters roles should be to choose one person that is crew or imposter that goes blind and can't see any people around them
Mod Idea: The imposters can click on different parts of the map to sabotage a task in that particular area. For example if the imposter clicks on o2 in their map, it sabotages water wheels and at least one person has to complete it before the timer runs out (like u complete a normal sabotage)
What if Imposters could un-do tasks?

Funnily enough, there is a 5% chance of you starting at Nav. I did the math. There is 20 total possible combinations and only 1 starting at nav, and 100/20=5
As for all the results for those curious:
There is a 50% chance you start in electrical, a 30% chance you start in storage, a 15% chance you start in admin and a 5% chance you start at navigation.
For second wires, there is a 30% chance your wires are at nav AND a 30% chance your wires are at admin, while there is a 20% chance for Storage AND a 20% chance for it to be at cafetaria.
There is a 50% chance you end at security, a 30% chance you end at cafetaria, a 15% chance you end at navigation and a 5% chance of you ending in admin.
So the highest likelihood of wires(and thus the safest wire combination to fake as impostor) is electrical, admin/nav, security
This video and the predecessor where Toast accused Janet of having a 95% chance of not being crew hurt my soul because that's not at all how that works statistically. The only way you could make a claim like that is if you had statistics on how often imposters fake that specific wire first, which is a metric that no one could possibly have, and even if someone did have it would still be dubious evidence at best. (And it definitely wouldn't end up being anywhere near 95%)
I watched half the video and came back HE CHANGES IT SO FAST
To put the 5% into perspective: In a game with 8 players with tasks, the chance of at least one being given the admin wires first is about 34%
1 - 0.95^8
5% chance is much closer to a 83% chance of being sus
because of 8 crewmates if 5% of them get it there will be average 0.4 of them to the 2 imposters so 1/6.
I know it gets a little more complicated because of more non crewmate rolls

There is only a 5% chance of nav wire being first, but viewing that as a 95% chance that Ellum is impostor is a false way of reading those statistics, because every wires route has a 5% chance of being selected, so every crewmate has that 5% chance of their route being picked, so it's basically a meaningless statistic.

honestly for modded impostor roles-I wish it was a 50/50 then a normal, so like one person is a normal impostor while the other is either a parasite or morphling, not both. Just so that vents arent actually useless LOL
