  • In this segment of the Sugarplum Cottage build-along, I demonstrate how to make authentic looking leaded glass using items from the craft store. I purchased most of it from Hobby Lobby.

    This is actually brilliant. I was searching so hard for some kind of mesh or screen that looked like this, but lo and behold, problem solved.

    I'm sorry...do those windows have HANDLES?! Are you kidding me?! Gorgeous. Do you sell them? If not, you should.
    You could also write and sell a book on how to make these masterpieces.

    I tried to use actual lead tape which took me forever to find for my stained glass windows. But they’re so hard to work with. So I’m gonna give art tape a try

    What kind of cutter are you using?

  • @leslievenditto8863

    Hi there Angieaug, I don’t like the windows that come with the kit. I saw windows I’d like to buy. Can I cut the window opening wider on the my Greenleaf “Willow” colonial house. I just love all your houses. I think you should be compensated for all your ideas talents and encouragement you give us first timers. Thank you for your advise. LesliV

    • @angieaug
      @angieaug  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Leslie! Yes, you can cut through the wood pretty easily with a sharp utility knife and a ruler. It's easier before assembly so you have a flat surface to work on, but still doable if you've already assembled the house. You may need to add strip wood to add thickness to the walls because the store bought windows are made for 3/8" thick walls. If you're adding siding, that may add enough thickness for the window to fit.

    • @leslievenditto8863
      @leslievenditto8863 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      angieaug yes I bought siding. I bought the Greenleaf dollhouse tool kit was $65 I got it for $25 on eBay and it has a saw in it. I will perform this gingerly. I can’t thank you enough. Your like my dollhouse manager I keep referring to since no one else on TH-cam has professional videos like yours. You’re my new favorite! Thank you so much angieaug !
