I’m dizzy from your pure skill in living, videography, teaching, entertainment, so many things. I never turned notifications on before. I can’t thank you enough sir.
@@TheWeedyGardenYou truly are a gift. Words cannot describe the significance of your beautiful works, education, and soul. Sir, you are incredible. Unfortunately I can not thank you enough. The only way I could thank you and Geoff is by applying all I can of the gift you have given us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! One of the greatest of our time. A new episode of Weedy Garden is like a gift on christmas morning

Notes from Brazil: "Brazilian cherry" from the looks of it is what we call pitanga. Jatobá is a beautiful enormous forest tree which gives large pods with a green flour in them. We enjoy green pigeon peas cooked in rice with coconut milk That way you don´t need so many of them! No one cooks dried pigeon peas here- they are just too hard! But the chickens love them, of course. Three pigeon pea leaves in a glass of hot milk with honey is a popular cough remedy- and it is delicious! Dried cassava leaf meal is an excellent vitamin/mineral supplement. Just use a little of it when you use seasonings like cilantro. It actually tastes good!. Once dried it is no longer toxic. We love tithonia for chop and drop (and, dried, as chicken chow) Say hi to Geoff for me! (Marsha )
In Indonesia we cook young cassava leaves with spices and coconut milk like a curry, or sometimes boil it and enjoy it with sambal (spicy chilli sauce)
Wonderful episode. You are a man of my own heart. Your food forest is progressing wonderfully. Hard work time , love and passion. Go hard Mate . I want a T shirt.
I love your weedy garden. I have one too. Only it is in MONTANA. It's harsh here. The winters are long and hard. I SURE ENJOY watching gardening in your area!!

Thankyou brother, your energy is so calming and really what this planet needs, reaching our full potential through good food good vibrations to all nations, love ya brother
A breath of fresh air, from the Weedy Garden. Always satisfying to see all the different adventures while gaining so much valuable and important information. It a blessing!

I'm in the Granite Belt in the coldest part of it, on the mountains. Looking at the wonderful growth in the tropics makes me a bit green but i don't have a bush turkey causing me chaos. The Weedy Garden looks great mate! Permaculture is our best chance for a beautiful future.
Another great top notch video mate, I'm dead jealous of your climate & what you have achieved so far, but as my food forest is establishing itself I have noticed it has also started to create its own micro-climate.
Thank you! 😊 I'm glad your voice and presentation bring me a bit of peace and maybe even a laugh. I'll keep up the good vibes and add a dash of humor to keep those smiles coming (and maybe sneak in a little grammatical tree climbing too 🌳)!
Actually mesmerising and also so incredibly uplifting and relaxing. And that fruit salad!!! Thank you so much for bringing your genuine mellow style to people across the world! Positivity.
Comfrey is the gift that keeps giving even if you dig it up any tiny bit of root will regrow. First time I used comfrey leaves under potatoes I even had plants growing up from the cut leaves. I now dry it thoroughly before I use it uber tomatoes and potatoes etc. it also stores well dried to crispy. I have been using it for 40 years 😊😊😊
Elle and I just filmed an episode all about Comfrey, so she will tell you. It has only recently been understood that Comfrey is not good for the liver. Therefore it is only to be used for external use.
Watching this video has got me laughing with happiness bro, absolute magic David, I used to grow tomatoes and basil, some watermelons and lemons but not really much else, retired through injury now so have plenty time on my hands to start the food forest off, got some tomatoes basil couple lemon trees and just got 5 little Moringa trees yesterday for 10 bux, blardy bargain I reckon, aw yeah and two Banana plants my daughter planted last year. Watching your video has me writing down a list of trees and plants to add that I like eating too, loving it, it's brilliant. Have a great week bro😉
Thank you very 'Mulch' for the awesome video. Working on a yacht takes a big toll on one's mental health. Your videos helps me and my partner push forward to reach our goals and build our own food forset. Thank you.
Brilliant, energetic super tasty looking fruit salad that's what it's all about, the fruits of your labour🤗looking fantastic the weedy garden as always. I have only harvested a few spuds so far,but at least I had ago and more to come. Thanks Weedy so enthusiastic and entertaining enjoyed every minute 🤗👏🤤🌹🌹🌺😃😋
You have many gifts to offer and much natural wisdom We are starting a syntropic food forest in HK, about the same latitude as where you are, your guidance is invaluable
Awesome trip to the Weedy Garden. A thorough pruning i say.👍👍. We have rather harsh long winters in Idaho U.s.a, very limited on outdoor varieties, so i sure Enjoy your Garden. Be blessed Weedy🤙🤙😁
When it comes to protecting anything from critters that dig for a living, it's best to go a few feet into the ground. Electric fencing can also be quite discouraging to them.
I'm afraid that if I use "The Warm Hands Method," I'll be causing a forest fire. Any experience with that? 😅 Love the video! Your place looks amazing! Great job!
WOW amazing fruit salad. Also super helpful on the chop and drop. Ive just bought Australian nitrogen fixers for my Food forrest, so ill look forward to being a human wood chipper soon. much love!!!
15:47 talking about comfrey leaves... one reason I love it so much in my food forest, and I make so many videos about it, is because of what you are talking about here. For anyone that wants a deeper dive on it, I fell in love with comfrey after reading a research paper on a chemical analysis of it's liquid tea manure (super easy fermented liquid fertilizer), which I will link in a comment below (in case youtube blocks it, which it sometimes does with external links).
Past videos I have found you very relaxed, calm and connected. This video was very different as your energy was much more erratic. I hope everything is Ok with you. First one of your videos I found difficult to watch because of your energy.
What about planting your bush turkey-vulnerable plants in a walk-in cage? Unless Bush turkeys can open doors, your produce would be safe. The cages are quite tall. You could even line them with welded wire to keep rats from digging into the area from under the ground. I use a walk-in chicken cage for my brassicas. It's 25 feet by 6 feet. Good luck!
Nice choppin' and droppin'. Hey Weedy, where do you get your music? its really nice. I use TH-cam Audio library but I don't see any attributions in the description.
I've come to the conclusion that listening to your voice is the gardening version of the great Sir David Attenborough, so peaceful and relaxing 😌
Especially with the birds chirping away in the background.
That's a compliment for days....love it!
Totally agree.

Very interesting and informative. Thank you. 😊🌱💚🌻🐝
For the bush turkeys, I think chicken wire would work better since the holes are smaller.
Thank you Weedy! Awesome stick insect 😍 didn’t know to keep the spear shaped leaves of bananas .. every day is a school day!
Great work Weedy The forest is looking fantastic mate cheers

I heard that eating comfrey or drinking comfrey tea will eventually ruin your liver so take care 🫵🏻
Never new of this until recently
Thank you! Appreciate that knowledge!
