Thanks for your beautiful performance of this Nocturne. I remember hearing it in a 1953 movie "Magnificent Obsession". Thank you so much for sharing your talent with those of us who appreciate this beautiful style of music. Best wishes, Jerry.
Ohhhh....what I so would love to have your skills, techniques not to mention such beautiful slender, long fingers that any pianist would dearly love to have! As I discover your library of performances, I want to cry because I can't interpret piano masters works with the wisdom, emotions, and skills of you! Another heartfelt 'Bravo' !!!
Superb! This is now my new favorite recording of this piece. It's hard to top Rubinstein's, but I really enjoyed the tempo and you did a nice job on the coda as well.
Il notturno descrive dimensioni nuove e drammatiche dell' esistenza attraverso il viaggio interiore.I musicisti esplorano per esprimere sensazioni intense , laceranti e particolari .
I played both 27 no1 and 2, was very proud then. Now, unfortunatelly, I forgot almost every piece I played, since I stopped playing the piano a few months ago );
Brilliant playing as always :) But I'd say this Nocturne is less forgiveness than the op.27 n.2 with the Garritan CFX sound, to my ears. I have been astounded to hear your version of op.27 n.2, and by the CFX VST quality. I even consider buying a Kawai Novus NV10 very soon, and try to do the same chain as you, Midi out of the novus, then Garritan or pianoteq ( I don't know for the moment as I'm totally new to that) on my 2012 macbook air laptop, and then an audio card/amplificator I presume, or directly from the macbook into the novus if possible. Did you consider upgrading your N1? I'm wondering if it's worth it as a friend told me "if you emulate the sound, then the N1 board is enough and the Kawai novus unnecessary). Going back to the Op. 27 No. 1, were your sound settings the same as for Op. 27 No. 2 ? Please go on, you inspire lots of people, thank you!
I am indeed in the process of buying a Novus, with the intention of using the CFX library again. Upgrading from an N1 to a Novus is totally unnecessary for most people, as the N1 is already quite an advanced piano. However, I do prefer the action of the Novus by quite a margin, and feel it will give me an advantage with technically difficult pieces. I recorded the other nocturne over a year ago, so there were probably some settings that I've changed since then.
Beautifully played! What do you think, in therme of difficulty, how would you consider the difficulty grade in comparison of these three pieces: Chopin nocturne op 27 no1, op27 no 2 and the Elegie from Rachmaninoff?
@@oliverbucur7088 Thanks! I think maybe op 27 no 1 could be the most difficult technically, and then the other two probably a bit more straightforward.
May I ask if this is learnable for amateur pianist? I desperately wanted to at least learn or go through this piece but my skill doesn't reach this level yet. Thank you, and nice playing by the way, great tension of the counterpoint there. (i have completed some waltz, and a few nocturne including 9-2,55-1, no 21 in cminor, mostly low level pieces)
This is definitely an advanced-level piece. You may be able to learn the outer sections with a lot of practice, but the middle fast section is likely too difficult at your skill level.
@@rach3master thank you so much!!! i will probably go through some other easy-medium pieces first, though i still want to get through op 27.1 and op 48.1 one time in my life :(
i love your playing and it's inspiring for me. What drills/practice methods would you recommend for a beginner/below-intermediate player who feels he has hit a wall in his improvement?
The obvious and expensive answer is to take lessons with a good teacher. Barring that, you can try watching some teaching videos from some respectable players. Josh Wright is an example. I've looked through some of his videos before and they seem like they'd be helpful for people trying to improve.
this is so gorgeously interpreted
Most melancholic nocturne from chopin, say some critics. I agree. beautifull interpretation. thank you.
Beautiful! I especially enjoy the deep, rich bass tones that you played!
Those spilling ichors, open upon the legs and arms of an audience; you do yourself do tintinate in their twilight: the moon is mutual with you!

Another exceptional performance, well done. Your command of the technical middle section is wonderful to see. Keep up the good work.
One of my favourite nocturnes! I worked a lot on it for a while ago! beautiful and very well played!
thank you so very much for this! I'm struggling with the fingerings and shifts, and you have so generously shared this! beautiful!

02:25 - 02:35 I think you nailed it! Can’t find a better performance at TH-cam! Good job
The VST makes it seem as I'm listening to a real concert. Amazing performance!!
that left hand is so insane honestly
4:28 beautiful performance
Brilliant! The performance has a weight to it.
The gradual decrease of the low notes passing through the others is especially beautiful in the return to the central melody. Thank you.

It's even harder to top Arrau's.

Very nice playing.....like it a lot.... 💖
Great job man! Recently bought the cfx lite version and I'm already Impressed by it. I like your channel. Motivates me to record and upload more !
I own garritan cfx aswell, such a beautiful sound!
I'm stuck at 2:36 , any tips to practice the huge jumps in lh?
btw superb playing : )
Practice the jumps slowly then gradually build up speed as you get more comfortable with it.
@@orlando6773 thanks for the advice, now i can actually play that part, i adopted a similar startegy.
@@radonium1092 👍
Really very nice - thank you!
Can you do all 21 please???
Yeah can you?
Amazing! 👏 👏 👏
The piano sounds very good
Bravo!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have the same book of Chopin nocturnes printed in Poland.
Brilliant playing as always :)
