Your style of teaching really resonates with me; no blaring music while you're speaking, no gimmicks, just straight forward information presented in a classy way. Thank you. I have a C100 MK II.

The thing I like about this video is that you show the button to press by highlighting in yellow, for a user who hasn't seen a mode before, there is no doubt as to what to press, not seen this in any other video, well thought out. It really makes a difference. Thank you.

I just purchased a DJI Phantom 4 and while waiting for delivery I have been consuming every "How To" P4 video I can find. Your video on the POI Mode was great! Easy to follow and I appreciated your display of the DJI GO interaction while using the POI Mode. I look forward to viewing the rest of your P4 series. Many thanks...

Thanks Bill! I purchased my "P4A" both from a curiosity standpoint and as an amateur photographer. As a relatively new P4A "operator", I've found the "in box" DJI instructional documentation very basic and clearly reliant upon publicly-available information such as your videos. Your videos are incredibly informative and useful, and clearly fill the operating instructions gap that exists with this drone platform!

Binge-watching Bill Nichols TV! Probably the best tutorial video series I've seen. You explain things very well and thoroughly without dragging it out. I'm new to droning and you make learning the craft of piloting easy. Keep up the great work. Thoroughly enjoy the way you teach.

This is the most effective and easiest video for POI mode flying Phantom 4. Really have been trying to learn this mode of flying but watching several others is bit confusing. Hope to see more such effective tutorial videos in near future.
See tutorial videos should be simpler and informative rather than making you confusing and giving you an idea of very tough job which is actually not. Thanks a lot..

  • @tonyweachock1227

Great informative video! Another thing you can go as far as obstacles that might be in the way when you change your radius is select your POI...choose your altitude and radius, and then start it at a slower speed only turn the drone to fly forward facing for 1 lap and make sure you're clear of everything on the screen (be ready to press the pause button or raise altitude if necessary.) and then face the camera at your POI and let it complete the radius with confidence!

    Hey Bill
Just bought a P4 as my first drone, and 'popped my cherry' with a few flights over my local park. What a great drone! Super happy with it.
I'm also very glad that I found your channel. The videos are informative, easy to digest, taught at a good speed without being patronizing for the beginners like me.
    Keep up the good work!

Clear and easy to follow. Thanks Bill for posting. I'm going to try it to fly around a church spire near my house. I take note of what you said regarding how far away the drone can get. I don't want it to activate return to home because the take off point is in my garden which is a pretty built up area and not straight forward to take off or land. Keep up the great videos. :)

Great video, and thanks for sharing. I just took my new P4P+ up here in Fountain Valley, and tried to use that feature intuitively...fail. Your explanation showed me what I was doing incorrectly. Incidentally, I work with Formula One, IndyCar, and NASCAR drivers, and custom-fit them to their steering wheels. Now, all my controllers have that custom handgrip technology. Let me know if you might want to try it...you won't believe how much more secure your flying can be when YOU design the human-machine interface to your liking...thx again for the post.
