The one on the right is a phantom 4 pro plus. I have the phantom 4 pro and the only difference is the screen on the controller. I use multiple tablets (my phone,galaxy tab e,galaxy view)for various flights,depending on what im doing so i wasnt paying an extra 300 or so for a screen.
Looks like the Pro camera is a little lower down. I'd imagine that that and the narrower field of view means that the props don't come into the video as badly as the normal 4?

For me the P4P is worth the upgrade just for the vastly better camera . I have the older Mavic Pro and I love it very much but the P4P is worth the much larger size even over the new mavic 2 .
Absolutely brilliant and thank you for sharing. I will upgrade my P4 as I use it professionally. The added 1000nit screen is a major plus for me as I shoot in the bright daylight often. My iPhone tends to get hot and goes into a dimmer setting and on a job last week, I couldn't;t see a thing and had to hope I was getting the shots of a tractor in a farm on a hot and dusty day. Your reviews are really thorough, so thanks for the effort.
Oh and one more very important question, do I have to carry a phone with Wi-Fi hotspot in my pocket in order to get the GPS ground overlays on the built-in screen? This hasn't been explained in any videos I watched. Thank you waiting your reply

Great detailed approach! Just the examples of rolling shutter test footage are missing. Why don't you film some kind of fan rotating or at least turn the camera 360 deg. around to show how strong is shutter effect on Phantom 4 Pro. Would be great to see!

I use a screen record which I later fox out and edit the Telemetry and add it to the 4K video. I use a simple screen record. If I buy the plus with the remote control that has the screen, is my only way to Overlay the telemetry is by using air data? I've always found this to be complicated which is why I just crop the Telemetry from the screen record and paste it on the 4K video for an end result of the high-quality video as well as the information of speed distance and height.

The controllerst are not the same. P4P one jumps from 2.4 GHZ to 5.8 GHZ and back in order to find the clearest channel and avoid the signal inteference.
What is the USB connection to the viewing device for? I know the P3 model didn't have this feature. Is it just to keep the device charged or are their other benefits?
Basically it's just talkign bunch of pictuares on one place from different angles and software just stiches it for you. There are some 3rd party apps out there that do the whole process automatically

Anyone can help me out with this... I bought two phantom 4 pro drones. I fly both from time to time. How can I find the total flight time from one drone vs the other. How do I find their names? Here is what I have done so far, I installed the Dji go 4 app on my android and signed up before flying drone 1, then I bought a second drone and flew that with the same phone but different controller. Now drone 1 and drone 2 have the same flight record. How do I fix this and maybe what did I do wrong?
Not enough to upgrade. You dont need to buy every generation of Phantoms. Only buy a new one if you crash your old one (You will have a good excuse to upgrade) or wait when something like phantom 7 or 8 is out and it has some groundbreaking tehnology.

That is correct. However, You will get huge props in the frame in sport mode. Also narrower field of view will give your footage more cinematic look

That would also be cool. I suppose it is one less thing to worry about when composing a shot though. And zoom lenses aren't as high quality as primes.
You got a point on that one. Primes are providing better quality picture, less distortion and ghosting and better sharpness

Is the roll arm the same on the P4 and P4P? My P4P roll arm on the gimbal is bent, so I want to replace it with a spare P4 roll arm I have.

And to say the truth....From that example, I mentioned, looks like they don't use the mechanical shutter for videos. Only for still images.

Try using the flight simulator of the DjGo app with the included screen in the Phantom 4 Pro +. After, you'll say if it's worth it.
