These cars are something different, comfort along with not so much slouch... Get a cold air intake and do the exhaust to a duel exhaust and I think it should breathe very well... I have a cold air intake on my 17 Elantra SEL and it makes a difference...
Honestly, just stock, I ('19 Elantra SE) gapped an early 2ks BMW in sport mode. The sportier gearing gives you so much better low-end torque. I feel low-end Torque is kind of a problem without sport mode, like starting on a Hill or such, not incapable, just very slow and sluggish. Almost like it bogs down under it's somewhat minimal weight. Just about an 1/8th mile Street race from stoplight vs the BMW as well. Pulled about a car's length or more.
@@cameronbowshlagger2722 ive got an 18 se stock and im thinking about bringing it down to the 1/8 track this summer just for fun. my car rips pretty good in sport mode.
Stop it... get some help... the car you are referring to has 138hp its not hitting 140mph... 130-135 maybe with under optimal conditions. Also, I study cars so you're not b.s.ing yourself out of this.
This is my car☺️...only question I had was what was the average mpg...if I'm going 88-92 I get like 47.6-48.2mpg☺️ just curious to see how good or bad it is at top speed🤣
Cap you’d have be easy on that pedal and installed extras for better fuel eco with smart mode always on even still that’s just barely passing 38 mpg you must have a hybrid at that point
As dumb as it may seem but their 2.0 are pretty reliable and have the perfect power for a work car or a family car but also a little bit fun But again in the US and other countries they had 109kw Australia got 112kw may not seem like much but they have a bit more torque But at theend of the day the 2.0 is still much better than the old 1.8 they optioned
Dude burned 2 quarts of oil doing this. 😂😂. Thats the worst part of Hyundai Engines... You can't put too much stress on the engines because they burn through oil really fast. My Dad has a lead foot and usually burns through a full quart of oil between every oil change.
I bought this same car now in 2024 and I'm the happiest man on earth!
Naturally aspirated engine ! 💪
Very reliable choice ! 🏆
I love how this content creator reviews not just 1 type of vehicle (such as luxury vehicles) but both economic and luxury cars :D Keep it up

Can you should me a video of your car sound and speed AND which air intake you got I’m looking for one for my 19 Elantra VE
(19 se manual) cold air intake, custom exhaust, and headers topped out at 132
I gapped a newer V6 Camaro in a 2020 Elantra, and they were like "tf is in that car" LOL 😂 And I was neck and neck with a early 2010s BMW 7 Series.

A 1.6-liter gasoline 123 horsepower car called Elantra Korea is sold and I am Korean

My 2012 hyundai Elantra touring can go about 140mph. Ungoverned of course
My 2013 Elantra is capped at like 122 :(

How do you get 47?!
I'm extremely light on the gas pedal and I get around 37 mpg?

@@HoRiZoN- I get 41 mpg on the highway with my 2021 Elantra where I live it’s mostly flat and I live close to sea level. I’ve never gotten above 50.
@@MeowStationOrignal that's acceptable you can even get up to 43 mpg on highway. But 47 that's a lie.
I don't know why they insist on naturally aspirated engines. Hyundai should just use a 1.6 turbo at least.
for more reliability maybe
or just use a big V8 make it AWD that would be awesome
@@brandonblack2095 not cheap to build one but why not
They do have one in the sport trim, and it is amazing.
That’s the sport model of this exact car

The current 2.0L Hyundai uses is an Atkinson cycle engine. You lose hp, but gain fuel economy vs. a direct injection Otto cycle engine.
@@sanderrambelje Look at the corolla engine. 170 hp
2017 156 hp
@@mez6256 you know the base corolla is only 132hp vs base elantra 147hp. each brand/model has different trim levels.
Why doesn’t it go up to 160 like it says?
There's a speed limiter for safety, pushing those speeds if it's capable will destroy the engine from stress
The interior looks like Seat León/Ateca 😂

160?
