Tuning any bike, even stock, is not a bad idea if you can afford it. But, since this a slip-on, the catalytic converter was not removed so you don't need a tune. RevMax engine will compensate for small changes. If you're adding a full exhaust (removing the cat) and changing the air cleaner then you must tune the bike professionally, otherwise you will lose power and will cause irreparable damage over time.
Did you have to flash the ecu or dyno tune the bike after this install?
