- Picking a deadbolt is a pretty easy skill to learn. It just takes some patience and practice. Some deadbolts are harder than others. I've never seen anybody pick a deadbolt that easily. I think he's only got one pin in it. Plus it's a Defiant lock. Not a Yale.

Thank's my mother lost her key to a keepsake lockbox she's had for forever, so I order a kit from Amazon, practiced for 3 days and what do you know I got in from watching your video 1 time after 3 years of it being locked. Now im going to give to to her for her upcoming birthday. She just might cry thanks again.

It actually wasn't that bad. Of course took some getting use to, but after the three days of practice I dedicated my determination to get it open, and maybe an hr and and half in I finally heard the click from the lockbox. To be honest I believe I was more shocked and ecstatic that I was able to get it open I couldn't believe I would finally be able to give it back to her unlocked. Thank you again
BUT FOR HER BIRTHDAY I SURPRISED HER WITH IT INSIDE OF A NEW LOCKBOX AND WHEN SHE OPENED IT AND SAW HER OLD ONE SHE WAS DEFINITELY CONFUSED UNTIL SHE THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND WENT TO OPEN IT AND SHE JUST KEPT SAYING "I KNOW YOU DIDN'T GET THIS UNLOCKED". SHE OPEND IT AND THE SMILE ON HER FACE WAS LIKE NONE I HAD EVER SEEN BEFORE. BUT THE KICKER IS ONCE I TOLD HER THAT I PRACTICED JUST TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR HER THAT MADE HER SMILE EVEN MORE BRIGHT.

It’s never that easy. And those see through padlocks are a joke. Put your pick all the way in the back and force the pins up the thing pops open

My deadbolt spins 180 degrees but doesn’t loosen the bolt. And won’t spin farther
I love coming back to watch this just to see how terrible it is. Surprised he hasn’t taken this down yet. Everybody can see you only manipulate one pin. He repinned it to a single pin instead of 5. And he even let it slip at first saying, “just pick IT up”. Such a douche.

@@shizanepimp1 To answer your question yes I finally got in after about 3 hours. I had to use a bent up piece of wire I cut off of a fishing lure and a screwdriver. Probably my proudest moment in my 21 years on this earth 😂

it works with most pad locks and deadbolt locks.
Sometimes I just wish people get straight to it. When you’re in a jam you do not want all this talking. Hopefully this works.

That's a lovely, easy lock, with a sloppy core. Not bad for practicing with.mThen you can progress to more paracentric locks with narrower keyways, much better manufacturing tolerances, security pins and so on. (Sparrows sell some really useful practice tools and high quality picks and levers, if you're interested.)
One secret is to have a selection of really good levers in different sizes and thicknesses, for different lock types. You can make your own very easily. I use discarded windscreen wiper blades for some of them.
The rake which you put aside in the video will open a good many different locks very quickly, sometimes more quickly than using a key. And many locks need picks with different tips and thicknesses. Those things come later, if you're practicing.
Another secret is to practice daily. There is no substitute for regular effort. You can become 'rusty' very quickly; within a few days.

its really not that easy. our bathroom door has been locked from inside for 4 day and multiple people have tried to pick it for hours everyday. its not coming open , granted we are using paper clips and Bobbie pins

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I didn't have any padlocks so I just opened something I wasn't supposed to open. I didn't know how to relock it. I got real scared there for a hot minute.

At a point where the lenses of my glasses are locked behind a deadbolt and my keys are a few states away. I have a book about lock picking (also behind same deadbolt 😅) honestly this has been the most helpful anything for my learning ability & now confident i can now get past this issue without my drill thank you so, soo much. He pinned this lock up with one pin. These typically have 5.
