    This type has always been the biggest mystery to me. I’ve heard it explained so many times, but this is the first time it’s actually made sense to me. Thank you!!!

    I’d love you to do a series illustrating Kibbe’s recommendations as the descriptions sound somewhat jargony to the untrained ear…I love your style analysis videos and your understanding of the system is great. I find other youtubers often understand their own type well but struggle to provide credible examples for the others…maybe they try to be too faithful given the book is fairly dated now and it would help to have a modern take on what constitutes his descriptions of shirring, plackets etc.

      I totally get that! I am eagerly awaiting a new, updated book from him haha. Until then, I will try to interpret the essence of his older descriptions while updating to stay a bit more current.

    I am a 5'0'' Soft Natural. I look taller than I am though.

    What do we think Sarah Michelle Gellar is? My guess would be SN ...

    I'm tall 5'6" and very confused if I am soft natural or flamboyant natural. Any more tips for what I can look at to know the difference?

      Hi :) had the exact same problem, and I believe I found the solution in waist definition. I'd always been told slight waist definition looked better on me whereas straight down clothes made me look more boxy and short. I read FN don't need waist emphasis as much because although all naturals should accomodate width, FN need to also accomodate vertical (dramatic undercurrent) rather than curve as SN should (romantic undercurrent). That's how I found I am an SN

      @@juliettepsvy1026that’s exactly how I feel too! I was typed FN but I need some waist definition or I feel like I look like a frumpy mess trying to hide my weight.

      Same here. I have broad shoulders comparatively with some curves. I thought I was a FN but when looking at the recommendations, I look better with a loosely defined waist (which I have). I just never thought of myself with much romantic features as I am quite sporty.

    I was typed on Etsy and in a kibbe group as a FN but I really didn’t identify with that, as I felt I look awful when I don’t have a defined waist. I’m 5’6” and right on that verge. I know they often say weight doesn’t factor with kibbe, but I feel like it’s hard to imagine any plus/full figured woman in large unstructured pieces. It usually looks like someone trying to hide weight.
    I feel like I flirt with the border of SN/FN.

      Just took a quick look at your profile and doubt you are an FN! I always am cautious of group typing and typing profiles because the people typing you don't provide enough material/content to show you their thought process.

    Hi! What do you think about Jennifer Lawrence? I've seen her typed as SN and FN. Also Elle Fanning has very similar body proportions and height.

    • @thealignedlover
      @thealignedlover  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Jennifer Lawrence is purportedly 5'9". I think she is a FN with a bit more curvature kind of like Anne Hathaway.
      Elle Fanning is so interesting to study! She's still quite young so one has to be very aware of how old a photo/video is when studying her style. I think in her more recent photos, her frame is more evident. I'm going to guess she is a FN with very strong Ingenue essence. She's absolutely gorgeous in The Great and in interviews definitely comes across as "Free Spirit Chic."

      She is a verified FN.

    Wouldn't Jlo be romantic?
    Also, I have her body type. But with a cup breast and 5'3". Will I still categorize myself like soft nat?

    • @thealignedlover
      @thealignedlover  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J Lo isn't Yin in enough to be R (pure Yin). It's also impossible to say from description alone and your persona has to also be considered.

    Kibbe is so interesting. I thought I was romantic because I'm hourglass according to measurements but not VISUALLY. I'm a bit more sturdy/broad. I'm also 5'2 so I automatically assumed I must be gamine but I'm not "petite " in frame. I'm SHORT according to measurements but not visually because I have long legs, disproportionate to my shorter wider torso and shoulders. Most people assume I'm around 5'4- 5'5 and are shocked when they stand next to me and see that I'm very short. So I think my long legs give me a vertical line that gives me the illusion of being taller. I feel like my most striking feature is my width. I think most people look at me and think "she's must lift alot /must be strong". So I'm pretty sure I'm soft natural 😂

      yesss, finding your "perceived shape" is way more insightful than looking at measurements :) it's fascinating how even at very similar heights, bodies can be so different in proportion with such different dominating features 💕
