Thanks for the review! This weekend I'll be using mine (for a netball event) with my a7iii and I'm so nervous! Btw the park looks familiar. Barsha Pond Park?
Nice review. This lens is a good compromise for travel and hiking. Currently it's the lightest native long zoom lens. 100-400 options are much heavier and bigger.
In thrue, the lens need do a better result in the APS-C camera because APS-C use the lens center only. And we know that the sides of photo/video have the soft result because it use the lens side
Hi I really am interested in getting one but I just meed confirmation that it will be a good idea.. please note that I know absolutely NOTHING about cameras and I want to get one as a gift for my husband. He has an a7iii and he likes birds.. would this be good for that? Nothing crazy. We just like going to a park or zoo sometimes to look at animals.
Good job bro! Almost the only one I see tested this lens on a crop camera. I wish you could do the sharpness test chart on a6600 too as you demonstrated it is significantly softer on apsc. I also have a question about the colors. All of the a6600 photos look warmer than the A7iii. Infact there is a yellow and green color cast in them. I'm curious about if it's because of different sensor color science or different White Balance settings?
I just checked the RAW Files. I used AWB on both cameras, and I believe each sensor deal with it in a different way. In my video at 2:39, the a6600 AWB is Temp: 5400K - Tint: +19, while the a73 image is Temp: 5000K - Tint: +6

I'm thinking about buying the tamron 70-300 and sell my sony 70-350 cause i want to buy a full frame camera and don't want to crop my shot. What do you think should i sell my 70-350 or stick to it even when using full frame. Thanks

I'm currently making a video abou Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 It's a great telephoto lens with OS but comes double the weight of this tamron

No doubt, this 70-300mm full lens is great for the value.
I don't recommend using crop lenses on full frame cameras
