I feel blessed to have grown up in the 70’s. Farrah Fawcett’s hairstyle is still my favorite today. Life was much slower, and so simple. We could indeed, stop to smell the roses. I wouldn’t trade that decade of my youth for any other.
"That's my scent. You take the Charlie" ❤ My mom was a cosmetics girlie in a department store behind the Estee Lauder counter back in the mid 70s. I love the pics I have of her from the 70s and early 80s because she was even more glam than she was later in life. She remained a seriously gorgeous fashionista until her dying day, God rest her soul. Sky high heels, primo purses, beautiful dresses and skirts... so incredibly feminine. She passed at 56 from cancer. She was amazing ❤
My mom went to Estée Lauder school of beauty in the early 80’s, she worked the counter for 20 years then moved to Lancôme. She’s in her 70’s & still uses Lauder & Lancôme to this day & also loves Clarins 💘
@amandaredd3057 I'm sorry you lost your beautiful mother so young. Those are wonderful memories. She had a great influence on your life in a positive way. God Bless her!
I love your comments about your late mum. Im a feminine ladyboy from Singapore whom love fashion n makeup in the 70s but (grew up in 80s). I wish can take a time machine to travel back in 1970s. May your mum rest in peace. From: Liza.
My mother wore Youth Dew in the 70s. One whiff and I am instantly a child watching her get ready to go out to with my dad. My first grown up perfume was White Linen in the 80s. We were an Estee Lauder home.
Loves Baby Soft and Jean Nate’ in junior high. My friend’s stylish German mother wore Charlie. I loved Dr. Pepper lip gloss and peppermint gum. I called it creme rinse! Clairol Herbal Essence shampoo. I graduated high school in 1979.
I was a kid in the 70s, I remember using Herbal Essence, that shampoo smelled so good. I wish they still sold the original. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood ❤😊
i was born in 2001 and it really really feels as if i had arrived very late at a party and the party had already happened and the people had already left. I personally love the music of the 60,70,80,90, also the fashion trends, the way of communication, the way of going out to party.... It feels like i missed all of those things i would have loved
This video was so much fun to watch. I was born in 1970, and have some great memories from my early childhood. When I think of the 70s I think of Wonder Wonder, and Charlie's Angels. Many other things, too, like the Bicentennial, Saturday morning cartoons, lip gloss and blue eyeshadow. It was a fun time to be a little girl.
Charlie was the first gift I received from my beloved! I still like the scent to this day! The hair products were much better in the 70s. They didn't have too many ingredients. As a result, your hair wasn't weighted down with all of the oils. Exercise and quality food gave us a healthy body and natural glow. Women didn't go under the knife like today. If they did, they were usually older, middle to upper-class women with money. People were a lot happier and well-adjusted back then. They weren't so mentally distraught and insecure.
Less stress agreed. Love social media like this because I don't buy Cosmo anymore. But this mean social media is too much. Kids don't have respect for elders. It's very sad how the Great American society is going down the tube 😢
I was seventies kid and I remember my mothers glass black and white bottle of Oil of Olay on her dresser. I use to open it and smell it. It had a scent to it that was very distinct and retro. She would wear Covergirl pressed powder with that Noxema scent and I still wear today. I love it.
Everything was very " natural" , no false lashes, and no one liked to admit to colored hair. I loved Loves Baby Soft, Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers, and some light green or blue eyeshadow occasionally. I used some of my mom's Coverstick snd powder to conceal acne. DIsco changed things, and we started wearing lots of metallic clothing lol❤ I was born in '66
I would also add the timeless Chanel #5, which remained extremely popular through the '70s with a series of iconic TV and print ads featuring Catherine Deneuve.
I grew up in the 70's, it was GREAT! So much fun... loved the Maybelline blooming colors eye shadows, so soft, and pretty! The Yardley pot-o- gloss, were the best, i had spell binding pink. Oh, how i wish they made those again!!!! Cute blouses, jeans so fun! 😊❤❤
I didn’t wear makeup yet in the 70s but I remember my mom having Avon, Oil of Olay pink fluid, Ponds of course. Shampoos I used were white rain, wella balsam, Fabregé wheat germ oil and honey. The honey shampoo smelled soooo good. I remember bees used to fly around my head when I used it. Now the 80s I wore and tried everythingggg. I’ll be writing a comment a mile long.
I’m 54. My mom used the st Ives cold cream and moisturizer line. They had several different pots and creams, one of them smelled like lemon vanilla that I really liked. I loved the musk perfume and Faberge shampoo and conditioner. Herbal essence was a big deal along with Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific. Oh yes and the VO 5 hot oil treatment! That I wish I had now. As for calling conditioner cream rinse, I still call light conditioner that you wash out cream rinse and regular conditioner - conditioner. I should have watched this video all the way through before commenting but I got excited. I think of Jacquelin Smith in the 70s. She was my favorite Angel at the time ❤ Hope you all have a great weekend
I miss St Ives Shampoo & Conditioner. The Jojoba formula was the best!! It made hair full, bouncy, shiny and very strong. They seriously need to bring these original formulas back.
Yes I grew up in the fabulous 1970s. I remember all these products. We HAD VO5 shampoo Jovan musk. I love the 1970s. What an honor I had to grow up in that era. I just turned 60 years old in February. I even have my license tags that says DA 1970s. I will never forget that fabulous decade. DA 1970s.
This was such a great blast back to my past. I wish most of these products were still available. I wore Love's Baby Soft, used Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific and the best shampoo was Revlon's Milk Plus 6. Thank you for sharing this.
I was in Jr High and High School in the 70's. I was a bit too young to be reading Cosmo but I did read Teen and Seventeen magazines. I had older sisters so I totally remember a lot of these makeup products. My mother also used Mary Kay , Estee Lauder and Avon. As far as 70's jingles...who remembers the Jean Nate jingle? 😂 I loved being a teenager in the 70's. It was a fun time. I miss those big Bonne Bell lip balms but I found Treat Beauty makes a beautiful substitute and so much better for you too. If I were to go back in time...yes the 70's and of course the 20's.
I grew up in the 70's. I liked Farrah, Cher, Liza and Debbie Harry(I used to copy her makeup style). I wore Halston perfume and my mother loved Shalimar. I also liked Love's baby soft perfume and Coty's Wild musk. I wasn't crazy about Great Lash but I loved Aziza mascaras cause they made my lashes look so long. My mom liked Mary Kay cosmetics. She really rocked her light blue eye shadow and it looked so good on her dark olive skin. I remember a shampoo called Earth Born that came out in 1975 that I really loved. I used Ponds cold cream to remove my makeup at night. My mom wore an afro and I had the feathered hair like Farrah which got me lots of compliments. I can't forget the Maybelline Kissing Potion lip gloss that looked and tasted so good. I also loved to roller skate to disco music back then hehehehe
Wow! This video brought back so many great memories! I was a teenager in the late 70's and it was the best! I used Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific, Herbal Essence, Breck and another called Lemon Up! I wore Loves Baby Soft perfume and used the glass roll on bottles of Kissing Potion! Such a fun video!!
I was born in 1971 and starting wearing makeup in elementary school😂. I remember my first very own eyeshadow being light frosted blue. My sister had the Farrah wings. I remember being excited over getting the Dorothy Hamill wedge haircut. It became a thing ! I remember using all the shampoos you mentioned. Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific smelled good, so did the original Herbal Essence. I wish they would bring back the original Herbal Essence. I remember having Love’s Baby Soft perfume. My mother couldn’t stand the musky or strong perfumes but I recall her having at least one bottle of Charlie. All the woman in my family for generations were into makeup and hairstyles, not the natural look. It was a lot of fun back then with family and friends getting together way more in person because of no internet. Everyone was outside more , more creative , and read more books. It was great.
My mother was an movie and Broadway actress living in nyc in the 1970s. I remember she used Elizabeth Arden products along with Erno Laszlo. Her body cream was good old Lubriderm. I’m happy all these products are still around today and I have access to them..kind of a nice way to remember her ❤
I was very young in the 1970's. I used (still do) Johnson's Baby Shampoo and Tame Creme Rinse (by Toni). They don't make Tame anymore. I'm in my 60's now and the Johnson's Baby Shampoo keeps my long hair silky and shiny. Revlon made the best Super Lustrous Super Frost lipsticks. Silverpearl pink and Copper Frost were favorites. They lasted, were creamy and shimmery shiny. Your video was fun. It was nice to remember many products that I used and still use. Pond's Cold Cream is another one I still use today.
I graduated high school in 1979, so I remember all of this. I idolized Farrah Fawcett, and used her hair care products. I wore Charlie and Jovan Musk (still do now and then) and I still look for anything that smelled as good as Clairol Herbal Essence. They should definitely bring back that original fragrance.
I still wear Love's Baby Soft. I have a bottle of Charlie that probably over 10 years old. I think they changed the scent for I can not wear it. I also to have a bottle of VO5 shampoo that I found at my local drugstore. I remember a lot of the things. I always tell someone if we could go back in time. I would want to be dropped off and left in the 70s. It was a great time to be a kid. Great video!!!
I started wearing Great Lash mascara in 1973 when I was 13… I still always have the iconic green and pink tube in my makeup drawer to this day… it always has a place next to my high end makeup
I love Windsong!!! Gloria Vanderbilt! Jontue! I guess I am old because I am sure that young women today would describe the fragrances as “old lady”!!!😂🤣😊
I was born in 1957, and so the seventies were my era. The early seventies were a continuation and extension of the sixties with a focus on the natural. You cannot talk about fragrance in the seventies without putting the Coty solid fragrance compacts front and center. These were soliflore fragrances and each compact had a theme, such as floral, Woods, grasses, etc. We all had these. Other popular fragrances were Love Fresh Lemon, Eau de Love, Cachet, Jontue, Ambush, Oscar de la Renta, Tigress, Ciara, Private Collection, Tatiana, and Navy. The most memorable makeup brands were Yardley (Pot O Gloss was the lipgloss that took over the world), Love which was the original brand that brought out a collection of neutrals, with names like Raccoon, Lioness, and Stormy Grey, and Bonne Bell who had bronzing gel and blushing gel. Of course Lipsmackers were part of the trend and we collected all the flavors. They led the way. Everyone wanted Love and Yardley. They had the most innovative stuff. The shampoos that took the world by storm were Protein 21, Clairol Herbal Essence, Brightside, Farberge Organics, Revlon Flex, Vidal Sassoon in the brown bottles, and the original Pantene line. Everyone wore Cutex nail polish. This was also the time when Irish Spring soap came to be, and we all had tubes of apricot kernel facial scrubs. This was also the time when Elizabeth Arden came out with her multi use pencils. There were colors for lips, cheeks, eyes, and highlighter. They were regular wooden pencils you had to sharpen. Gels came into great favor. Love, Bonne Bell, Revlon and others had bronzing and blush gels. They packed a wallop of pigment.
I used the Bonne Bell blushing gel while in college. My favorite cologne was Green Apple (Max Factor ?) It came in a glass bottle shaped like an apple. Revlon Flex shampoo is my all time favorite. It had such a great, spicy scent. I loved the 70s!
You did a great job covering the era when I was a teenager! I’m 65, and I would add “Love’s Baby Soft” fragrance, “Lemon Up” shampoo, and “elephant” bell bottom jeans. I don’t remember subtle makeup in the seventies at all. I wore Yardley pot o’ gloss in bright blue, plucked my eyebrows to a thin line, and used lots of blush and big eyelashes. We wore enormous platform shoes - it’s a wonder I didn’t break my ankle back then.
I was born in 1959 so I was a teenager growing up in the '70s and I wore "Charlie" & "Jovan Musk". I also wore "Opium" in the '90s. Loved all three scents! In the '70s there was also "Wind Song" by Prince Matchabelli, (that my Mom wore most of my life), "White Shoulders" and Love's "Baby Soft" that are 3 more great perfume from that time that I remember well and I'm sure lots of your viewers would remember them too! 😌👃😊
I’m 52 and I used Avon, Mary Kay, the Clinique lotion, oil of olay and still use the ponds cold cream. I also remember and a child seeing that Charlie perfume in my grandmothers bathroom lol!
My mother used Ponds cold cream and Skin so soft. I used Charlie, Herbal escencse and Noxima to wash and then moisterise my face. The Herbal essence smelled so good. Great video.
I was born in ‘78 and my mother wore Opium. Never liked it but still love Shalimar! I vividly remember using Ponds, Noxema and Skin So Soft. Growing up, we definitely called it ‘cream rinse’ as opposed to conditioner. What a fun video 🎉
I remember a bottle of Tabu perfume my highschool boyfriend gave me for Christmas. We seemed to break up about once a week and one time, heartbroken, freshly broken-up, I returned some of his gifts. I put them on the top shelf in his locker. When he opened it the perfume fell out and smashed. The next day the halls of the school reeked with Tabu. We made up by the end of the week. To this day if Im lucky enough to come across the perfume one whiff takes me back instantly to a love-sick teenager. Hahahaha,
I just have to say I’ve loved watching your channel grow! I have been a subscriber for years at this point and I love how you just decided to start a channel talking about your own niche passion and truly being yourself. You’ve attracted your own tribe of us who also love all things vintage and beauty! Awesome work! Thanks for sharing and staying consistent 😁💖
Great video! I was born in 1970 so I remember a lot of jingles from my childhood; especially 🎶“…they call it Charlie!” 🎶 My mother wore Opium, boy that was some strong perfume. She’s 89 and struggling with dementia but was asking where her perfume was so I ran out and bought her a bottle. I feel like it doesn’t smell quite the same but she was happy. Thank you for the great video feeling all the nostalgia.
I had Charlie and Frost and Tip for sure! And some Avon products too. I admired Susan Dey (The Partridge Family) for her natural girl next door look. Loved Cher and Farrah too but wasn't ever going to be able to compete with that look!
I remember Frost and Tip, Creme Rinse-- and I used Herbal Essence, Prell, Gee Your Hair.. we had at least one bottle of Farrah's brew-- and of course, Body on Tap, the shampoo and conditioner with real beer! It smelled so good. Grown up women in my area (Buffalo, NY) wore more natural nail shades and lip shades, and brown & shimmery eyeshadow looks were huge. The thing then was to match your lip & nails, and keep your blush in the same color family.
“You’ve come a long way, baby”…. A tagline from the 70’s that I remember. My mom had an engraved brass key chain with it on it. Not sure what was being sold. 😆
My favorite scent as a 70s teenager was Sea Jade by Yardley , my best mate wore opium and someone gave me charlie but i wasnt keen also my mum's friend had a little hair salon and she would try out the latest styles on me so i had every style going.
Lucky to have lived in the 60s and 70s....nothing has been like it ever since...the feelings and nostalgia I still have is crazy ...wish I were back there again with my frosted white pearly Yardley lipstick that became so famous...my girlfriend gave me a WHEEL of Yardley of London lipsticks when I was 14 and it was the most memorable and amazing gift I ever received because it symbolized my growing up and fun and adventure and dating and exciting times ! In the 70s my mother always wore Opium perfume and we LOVED it so much. Many many memories that scent brings back. My eyes feel all watery now !!
My first perfume was Green Apple by Max Factor. I bought it in 1977 when I was young teenager. I loved Olay and SSS by Avon. It was a great time. My aunt used Clinique's products and continues to do so.
Yardley of London was big in the 60s and 70s, fun lipsticks that you could wear around your neck and some of them actually would have a whistle on them but really mod colors blue eyeshadows, green eyeshadows, frosty pink lipstick they were probably my favorite and then you also had Revlon natural wonder, Estée Lauder, I remember Clinique coming out and it had kind of a laboratory aesthetic, three step skin care, which has obviously been expanded nowadays minimal make up in the beginning for Clinique. As a make up artist, it’s been great fun to see all the changes that have happened in the last 50 plus years.❤ oh and don’t forget Twiggy (60s and 70s)
I came of age in the 70's. This was such a fun trip down memory lane. I still remember the Charlie fragrance jingle... and, yes I wore it. Dorothy Hammil was a huge influence with her wedge haircut and Jane Fonda for her shag cut. Thanks.
I was born in ‘75. So much of this is remembered from my early childhood and the decade that followed. Summer nights ended with a smattering of Noxzema and VO5 oil treatments….all of the products are remembered fondly. These are always fun. Thank you! Edit to add that I still keep a bottle of Jovan Musk and Musk oil. They are somewhat different from the originals but still a nice layering scent. I still wear Obsession by Calvin Klein, it layers well with the musks.
wow, this was a blast from my past I wore Charlie, I wore Jovan musk, Opium was my number one fragrance for probably 20 years, Youth Dew, Skin by Bonne Bell was another good one, along with Chanel no5❤
Laura, I graduated from high school in 1975. I started wearing the fragrance Charlie in my sophomore year and it became my signature fragrance. I just purchased a bottle online recently thinking I might wear this familiar scent again! I got the Farrah Fawcett cut (which didn’t work too well with my fine, straight hair!), washed my hair with Herbal Essences shampoo and used Yardley beauty products. With the 1920s’ influence of movies like The Great Gatsby (as you mentioned) and Twiggy’s The Boy Friend (1971), I plucked my eyebrows into that thin line that was popular, and they’ve never quite grown back! I loved more colorful eye makeup, as the natural look has never looked good on me. Thank you for this wonderful trip down memory lane! Oh, and I loved Cher for her style in the 1970s with Liza as a close second.
I remember buying my Mother Charlie for her bday. I have always loved Halston! Smells great, and the chic aesthetic remains to this day, desireable. I wore Guerlain in the 90's as a young adult. I've stuck with my Joop Homme since the 90's. The men's version is much nicer than the woman's version.
I remember all these things, including a huge bar of Lifebuoy soap that my Father used to wash his hands with after working on the garden, and my Mother washing my hair with Vosene! I miss them both so much.
Used all the perfumes I owned Charlie but would borrow a little of the other scents from my mom for special occasions. She would buy them when traveling at tax free places and her sister often gifted her these scents. Used ponds, noxema which I love as well as oil of Olay. Loved Herbal essence shampoo and also Johnsons Baby Shampoo. A little modest with the makeup but loved lipsmackers and Maybellene eyeshadow and Mascara. My big use of color was in nailpolish love the rainbow shades and use them even more today!
I grew up in the '70's, in my native NYC. In 1976 I started high school. Back then I had very long, dark hair. Classmates in my all girl school would routinely tell me I looked like Rita Coolige or Cher. The only resemblance was my hair. But I took the compliments! In the '70's I used every shampoo you mentioned in this video. Thanks for reminding me of that :)
My all time favorite fragrance was Lauren by Ralph Lauren💕Prell shampoo was a great shampoo, I also used Gee your hair smells terrific, and Herbal Essence. I still use Revelons coffee bean lipstick💕I remember a blush called natures blush. Most of the products you mentioned I used. But my all time favorite makeup product was by a company called Borghese, they would come out with an eyeshadow pallet (every year) that was amazing,
I feel blessed to have grown up in the 70’s. Farrah Fawcett’s hairstyle is still my favorite today. Life was much slower, and so simple. We could indeed, stop to smell the roses. I wouldn’t trade that decade of my youth for any other.
I’m completely with you! We are so blessed to have spent our youth in that period in history. And yes, Farrah’s look was the best!😊❤
I agree with you. I grew up in the 70s as well. Best memories ever.❤
You were and are indeed blessed. My fiance and I talk so often about wishing we had been born around when you were. Everything was better in the US
Same here. So much simpler than now.
"That's my scent. You take the Charlie" ❤
My mom was a cosmetics girlie in a department store behind the Estee Lauder counter back in the mid 70s. I'm 62 and lately after reminiscing my heart aches for the 70s what great times they were to be young! The music, the fashion. The everything!! ❤
Me too!
58 here and agree completely!
Same for me, the best decade for music, fashion, makeup, happy days!
Yes! All of these products bring me back…to being young, seeing my mom get ready to go out and smelling her Youth Dew.
@@Lulu-kt6gr omg youth dew. I used to drown myself in it! Lol
Can’t get out of my head: Wheatgerm oil and honey… and I told two friends, and they told two friends… and so on, and so on…😂
Every girl in school wore Charlie and carried a lip smacker, lol, but seriously, I'm 62 and your spot on.
There was a magazine called 17, I lived for it each month!
Oh me too!
Yes! that was such a great magazine!
LIVED for it!!!!!
Loved it 🎉❤❤
Yes, loved 17 it was such a treat
Among high schooler's, popular fragrances in the 1970's were Loves Baby Soft and Loves Fresh Lemon. Babe by Faberge was popular among adults.
Those Loves scents were always on my sister's bathroom sink lol
An iconic shampoo was Prell. Known for its scent and rich lather.
I still use it!! I use it to get rid of buildup and I have very oily hair. It's a great shampoo and it smells sooooo good ♥
Lol love the smell
My mother wore Youth Dew in the 70s. One whiff and I am instantly a child watching her get ready to go out to with my dad. My first grown up perfume was White Linen in the 80s. We were an Estee Lauder home.
I loved White Linen!
Ohhh I LOVE Youth Dew still
White Linen! Omg. I forgot about that! I used all the time
*Yay Estee Lauder! I miss the iconic gold lipstick tubes, and White Linen was my signature scent for a long time.*
I remember the” Calgon take me away “ commercial. I say this sometimes but nobody knows what I mean unless of course you grew up in the 70s.
I loved the commercial with the bathtub in the limo. You can still find them on TH-cam
I still wear Opium, although harder to buy these days. My mum wore shalimar up until she died. I loved the 70's best years of my life.:)
Me too! My most fun years, without a doubt!
I have Shalimar and will wear it mostly in cold weather.
Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers & Maybelline Kissing Potion started my obsession with lip glosses and lipsticks. And 10-0-6 was the thing! 😱
One of my favorite looks was Stevie nicks in 70s/80s loved her flowy clothes lace and makeup ❤
Same here!
Yes love her
Me also!
Remember the Yardley nail polish that smelled good? It came in a tiny bottle. I also used Sea Breeze and Bonnie Belle products.
Miss the 70's and (80's)!
Awe I miss the 90s thanks for watching
I am 68 and absolutely wore Charlie in the 70s. And washed my face (still do) with Noxema. But there was NOTHING like Herbal Essence!!
I was a kid in the 70s, I remember using Herbal Essence, that shampoo smelled so good. I wish they still sold the original. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood ❤😊
I have thought of that bottle of green shampoo so many times over the years. I would love to smell it again, I loved it as a kid.
The best smell ever..I can still smell it. I wrote Clairol and begged them to bring it back.
i was born in 2001 and it really really feels as if i had arrived very late at a party and the party had already happened and the people had already left. I personally love the music of the 60,70,80,90, also the fashion trends, the way of communication, the way of going out to party.... It feels like i missed all of those things i would have loved

I still wear it too
I still wear Loves Baby Soft. I love it!

@@vickierotell4995 I 100% agree with you!
I totally agree.
I had 2 Aunts that sold Avon in the 70s so we used a lot of their products. My mom loved their Moonwind fragrance and I wore Sweet Honesty.
I loved Sweet Honesty!
I was seventies kid and I remember my mothers glass black and white bottle of Oil of Olay on her dresser. I use to open it and smell it. It had a scent to it that was very distinct and retro. She would wear Covergirl pressed powder with that Noxema scent and I still wear today. I love it.
I love the classic oil of Olay
That Cover Girl pressed powder scent was Everything!😊
Born in ‘67, the 70s were awesome!
Me too! Summer of Love!
Yes, those were terrific commercials with the divine Catherine.
I wish they still sold the spray cologne - in black packaging from the drugstore. I like it better than the perfume!
I recognize every single product you covered and all the ads. My favorite 1970s shampoo was Short and Sassy!
And long and silky.

Thanks for watching! I remember the v05 hot oil I want to try it again
Gee Your Hair Smells terrific! Did smell terrific but very strong!!
Breck, J&J, and Jermack were great shampoos..
I miss St Ives Shampoo & Conditioner. The Jojoba formula was the best!!
It made hair full, bouncy, shiny and very strong.
They seriously need to bring these original formulas back.
@@BadMamaJama007 yes they do!
DA 1970s.
The BEST time in history!!!😊
@@JudiL-f4v yes indeed
This was such a great blast back to my past. I wish most of these products were still available. I wore Love's Baby Soft, used Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific and the best shampoo was Revlon's Milk Plus 6. Thank you for sharing this.
Oh yes..loves baby soft! It was my favorite!
Thank you! I think you can still buy a lot of them. I linked them in my description box
Great blast from the past. I was born in ‘64 so I remember all of these items…but what about QT Self Tanner? For that ORANGE glow! 😂
I’m happy all these products are still around today and I have access to them..kind of a nice way to remember her ❤
Graduated from high school in the US 1972. I used every one of these products! Yes, Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific was my fav shampoo.
Back in the ‘70’s I was a disco queen!!! Those years were so much fun. The clothes, makeup, and the disco music. Disco is still my favorite genre.
Charlie has definitely changed for the worse sadly
My mom wore Youth Dew in the 70’s. That scent will always remind me of her.
I started wearing Great Lash mascara in 1973 when I was 13… I still always have the iconic green and pink tube in my makeup drawer to this day… it always has a place next to my high end makeup
Windsong…I wore that.
I remember my Mom giving me Windsong perfume as a young teenage girl.
You really just took me back to my teens....thank you!
I used the Bonne Bell blushing gel while in college. My favorite cologne was Green Apple (Max Factor ?) It came in a glass bottle shaped like an apple. Revlon Flex shampoo is my all time favorite. It had such a great, spicy scent. I loved the 70s!
I had completely forgotten about Navy! 😊
Solid perfume compacts…yes!! Woodsy, Grassy, Musk 🥰
I remember Skin musk oil by Bonne Bell. Anything Bonne Bell, especially Lip Smackers!
😌👃😊
I used all those products with hair and perfume and makeup. What fun memories! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!😊
Thanks for watching!
I’m 52 and I used Avon, Mary Kay, the Clinique lotion, oil of olay and still use the ponds cold cream. I also remember and a child seeing that Charlie perfume in my grandmothers bathroom lol!
70’s I wore ‘Babe’ and ‘patchouli’ and ‘Coty Musk Oil☮️
The model in the Breck shampoo ad is Jaclyn Smith, who later starred with the model in your next shampoo ad, Farrah Fawcett. 7:26
Thanks so much! I appreciate your support 💕💕💕
When I saw her Avon collection, I was hooked ❤
I was a teenager in the 70’s. Loved the fashion, music, and youth at this time in my life. Thanks for bringing ba k some memories.
What a lovely thing to do for your Mother. Our sense of smell seems to evoke the most vivid memories.
My trifecta of beauty products in the late 70's (I was in Jr. High): Love's Baby Soft, Bonnie Bell Roll-On Lip Gloss and Maybelline mascara.
I had Charlie and Frost and Tip for sure! And some Avon products too. I admired Susan Dey (The Partridge Family) for her natural girl next door look. Loved Cher and Farrah too but wasn't ever going to be able to compete with that look!
Omg, what a fun video! I wear 70s vintage clothes almost every day.
Virginia Slims cigarettes
It was for a cigaette, "to get where you've got to today. You've got your own cigarette now baby. You've come a long long way",
I had Charlie. I think you can still get it today. I wear Shalimar today.
Yes, the "feminist" route to lung cancer. 😅
I was a teenager during the 70’s and had all of those fragrances except Shalimar! This video is making me smile! Thanks Laura!
Thanks so much for watching
I remember the jingle from Wind Song perfume, Charlie perfume and Enjoli perfume 😮
Does anyone remember these cosmetics: Tussy and Love.
Tame cream rinse, in that distinctive yellow bottle with green lettering. Also, Avon cream rinse in pink. I would give anything to have those back.
I was a musk addict! And Farrah flicks and shaggy perm addict
Really miss so many of those good products.
I came of age in the 70's. This was such a fun trip down memory lane. I still remember the Charlie fragrance jingle... and, yes I wore it. Dorothy Hammil was a huge influence with her wedge haircut and Jane Fonda for her shag cut. Thanks.
Avon Skin so soft is also used to ward off mosquitos here in Michigan.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s was so fun and people were nicer.
I agree, people were so much nicer back then. Today people are struggling more, life is harder and there is a bitterness in the air.
'70s style icons for me. Of course, Liza and Cher, but also Mia Farrow comes to mind.
Yes she was so popular then
Farrah Fawcett was the biggest star of the day, worldwide!!
Oh nice! Every time I talk about noxzema I want to buy it!
wow, this was a blast from my past I wore Charlie, I wore Jovan musk, Opium was my number one fragrance for probably 20 years, Youth Dew, Skin by Bonne Bell was another good one, along with Chanel no5❤
Laura, I graduated from high school in 1975.
Yes, I had Halston and Charlie back then! Love's Baby Soft, too.
I'd go back to the 80s. I was a child/teenager during the 1980s and it was a fabulous time to be a teenager. The 1970s were great, too. ♥
Miss Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific - got so many compliments
Farrah Fawcett shampoo had the best scent of any shampoo ever created!
I’m 69 and I wore quite a few oh these fragrances but my ultra favorite is Shalimar which I still wear to this day!
Being born in 1971 , I was a little girl in the 70s , but remember seeing and using a lot of these products! I still use Olay products today!
Herbal essence… born in ‘58 and that was the defining scent of my teens.
I wore Charlie in the mid 80s when I was a teenager. I love the 70s era even though I was born in 1972.
I love the look of the 70s
My sister was a Charlie girl!
Me too, born in 1972 but love the 70s.
Lava soap
I was definitely born in one of the greatest decades ever! Born in '77 here! Great year!
Love love love your content!! A dive into the past teaches us that there's nothing new under the sun!!❤
Thanks so much
I grew up in the '70's, in my native NYC.
Does anyone remember Skinny-Dip cologne? I would totally buy it now if they still produced it!❤
My all time favorite fragrance was Lauren by Ralph Lauren💕Prell shampoo was a great shampoo, I also used Gee your hair smells terrific, and Herbal Essence. I still use Revelons coffee bean lipstick💕I remember a blush called natures blush. Most of the products you mentioned I used. But my all time favorite makeup product was by a company called Borghese, they would come out with an eyeshadow pallet (every year) that was amazing,
