The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. The two handheld games feel to me, like stories, with a acid psychedelic trip twist.

The only other game I would have added to this, would be Sonic Rush, that was super fun. But, just about all Pokemon games on DS are really enjoyable.
I recall reaching 100% completion on several DS titles. If DS reaches Switch, we can only hope its touchscreen control layout is more flexible than Wii U's. On the other hand, it's possible Nintnendo could do remasters with certain games such as Phantom Hourglass and Star Fox Command with control schemes compensating for lack of touchscreen (when docked). And Super Mario 64 DS mini games would be right at home on mobile.
I would much prefer Nintendo remake some of the DS games instead of ports. But the reliance on touchscreen for some titles would compromise their overall experiences.

I remembered playing Metroid Prime Hunters and MKDS vividly on the DS. Man, such good times. :)
My 1st DS came bundled with a Metroid demo. 1st Metroid I ever played. The animation for metriods sucking on the visor scarred the jeebies out of me!😵

Hotel dusk , trace memory, Ac, zelda PH, zelda ST, harvest moon cute, HM tale of two towns and lost in blue were my favorite.
This is a great list but man there are so many other good titles... Dragon Quest V for DS, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Elite Beat Agents, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors, Kirby Planet Robobot, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, etc... so many are still worth diving into today!
We can only fit so many into a list of 10 😂

Kingdom hearts Re:Coded was really fun on the DS. Not for the story, just for the many playing styles.
Phantom Hourglass was great
I did not like PH. The ocean king temple was god awful

Nostalgia....... ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
And yet again Spirit Tracks gets overlooked by the game before it. Why am I not surprised?
That and considering they don't particularly like phantom hourglass compared to most other zelda games its basically an insult to not only spirit tracks but the ds as a whole!

Don't forget Pokémon Black and White 1 and 2. They are great games
so were Heartgold and Soulsilver

Nintendo DS IS one of greatest handheld consoles what Nintendo ever maded before 3ds Comes out, DS was My first ever gaming console ive got and first game was New Super Mario Bros DS. My top 5 favourite DS games are New Super Mario Bros DS, Mario Kart DS, Pokemon Heartgold/Silver, Pokemon Black/White and Bowser's inside story. I Make top 5 list because I haven't played much DS games But there was important DS games For me, im huge Super Mario and Pokemon fan. 🔥🔥

If Nintendo officially released their console in India I definitely would have tried those games legally by purchasing them but they didn't so I had no choice but to emulate and play those games in my mobile.

I was always just ok with Phantom Hourglass and preferred Spirit Tracks much more
Only thing I would add is one of the best spinoff series of a franchise ever. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is soooo good!
Rotom isn’t actually a Legendary Pokémon. It’s a normal one that was encountered in a special way and had the Legendary Pokémon fight theme for some odd reason.

Honestly Metroid Prime Hunters is skipable overall, but I recommend playing it on the 3DS rather than the original DS if you do want to try it out still
I was surprised to see Star Fox Command on this list. I kept crossing myself up trying to steer with the stylus (the only way, if I remember right) while squeezing my too large fingers around it to get at the face buttons. I switched to using the stylus with my left hand, which was tougher than it sounds since I'm right handed. I did get two of the endings, but please don't ask me how.
I think you could just say Spirit tracks instead of Phantom hourglass

Kirby super star ultra. While it wasn't my first DS game, that honor goes to Squeak Squad which is also nice, super star ultra brought back an oldie but a goodie with new features. One of them where you can play as Meta Knight!
Ninja gaiden DS, Resident Evil DS and both bleach games, grand theft auto chinatown wars
I had Phantom Hourglass then i didnt anumore. One thing about that game was that it was pretty repetitive. After you complete the tenples, you had to return to the temple of the ocean kkng every time. Other than that, I liked that game. I also liked WarioWare Touched, New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS and the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl games. I never played Platinum though. Theres also HeartGold and SoulSilver.

The world ends with You!!! Neku may be a divisive lead, but the story has a message, music is banging, art style is solid, & did a great job utilizing the uniqueness of the DS with the pins/battle system. TWEWY at least deserves honorable mention, but in my book is top 5 ds game

Pokemon Conquest is an underrated gem of the DS, the best Pokemon spinoff, with dozens of stories to play postgame, leading to at least 100+ hours of playtime if you're looking to 100% the game. The game is essentially Pokemon x Fire Emblem, and is based on Nobunaga's Ambition, with character designs inspired by Samurai Warriors and Feudal Japan. An amazing strategy RPG, with great music, gameplay, and difficulty(As long as you don't cheese the game with Guardian Charms).
Mario hoops 3v3 is CRACK! Also shout out to nintendogs
It totally was, especially after unlocking those Final Fantasy characters. (Black Mage was a requirement for my team every game lol)

Pokemon Black and White version. Platinum is alright but gen 5 games were better in my opinion.

Super Mario DS & Mario DS Kart
Chrono Trigger is said to be the best JRPG of all time by many despite being almost 30 years old now. Although it first came out in Super Nintendo, and there is a Steam and Mobile version, the best port for the game is DS.
Just saying cause there was multiple JRPG games in that list but not Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger may not be as popular now since not only is it old, there's also only 2 Chrono games. But I thought this video was based around what's worth it rather than more popular ones, so I thought I should mention Chrono Trigger. Lol XD

All of the Etrian Odyssey games are still really good if you like dungeon crawlers.
Great games to play on my R4
Pokemon Platinum was a significant improvement over Diamond and Pearl, especially with its improved Sinnoh Pokedex. As far as im concerned, its still the best Pokemon game to date. Brain Training is still worth playing for making mental excercise entertaining. I also loved Sonic Rush, and how it goes from the top screen to the bottom and vice versa.
Lego Batman is my favorite DS game
Unfortunately your selection of Star Fox Command in this was an erroneous one due to the game's miserable beginning and some of the horrible endings that don't involve Fox and Krystal reconciling and hooking up.
Hence why many fans, myself included, have deemed it uncanon in the Starfox series.
