      You described the speakers in this video as coax and I ordered a pair of coax Alpine SPE-6090, Type E 6x9" 2-Way 75W RMS Speakers. I believe the ones you installed were component. Am I wrong about this. I have the JBL system and want to keep it that way. I'm wondering if I install these coax (that have a center mount tweeter) if the highs will be way to annoying. What do you think. Any input would be great. Thanks

      @@sirnoah5628 So I installed Polk DB series 6x9s in the doors and some JBL GTO series tweeters in the dash. It's definitely brighter and more crisp than stock and the soundstage seems to be about two feet higher than before. I'll get a little 8" or 10" sub installed over the next few weeks but it sounds relatively full right now. I can't believe how dinky the OEM speakers were though they didn't sound half bad.

    First let me say, thank you for this series. I’m working on an install in my daughter’s 2010 Camry and these videos are invaluable. Much appreciated!
    I’ve got a question (or a series of questions as you’ll see later) regarding the front speaker wiring. I’ll be installing component speakers in the front as you did but the Infinity speakers I bought come with a passive crossover block as opposed to an inline crossover. This means I need to have the speaker wiring from EACH speaker (2-tweeter and 2-mid-bass) going to the crossovers (8 wires total). When I replaced the head unit I only saw 2 sets of wires (4 total) for the front left (wht&wht/blk) and front right (gry&gry/blk). Some videos I’ve watched have the 2 wires coming into the tweeter harness, paralleled through, then down to the mid’s in the doors. In your video it appears there’s only 2 wires at the tweeter wiring harness; no parallel pass through. Now, to my question(s). Are there wires that I’m not aware of? Are they split somewhere going from the head unit to the tweets and mid’s? Will I need to run a set of wires to each of the doors (mids) and leave the F/Rt. and F/Lt. going to the tweets? Should I get a set of inline crossovers for the tweets and abandon the Infinity crossover terminal block? Just trying to get some clarification on the wiring so I know what I’m up against and how I should proceed. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks!
    Edit: 2010 non-JBL Camry

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you had JBL, sure, you can most likely reuse the bracket. Non-JBL speakers don't have that luxury as the two don't separate and a bracket adapter is needed.

      I put these speakers in the door, and new 6 x 9 in the rear deck of the former JBL system, do you think the JBL amp would still be sufficient for this? I’m not going to blast this system but wondering if you happen to know how powerful the JBL amp is?
