I bought exactly same unit with wireless Apple car play/ Android Auto for 5360 Philippine peso so it’s about 99$USD today late March 2023 What a great unit
Couple of quick questions. Which one did you purcAnd Any update on how the unit has been doing ever since? Any lags or "boot up" or freezing or connecting problems ?
I just put one of these in my daughter's 2011 Camry, same exact unit. Paid full price though but I felt the look & fit was good and the features excellent. My only gripe was that the steering wheel controls didn't seem to work or detect. Thank you for the extra info about the red wire for the reverse camera, I had no idea why the extra wire was there, I didn't have a drill with me so I'm putting the reverse camera in later on.
Thanks MJTech for this video-guide. I ordered one (now it is $190 discounted) and installed it yesterday. Because of this video, I was able to install mine in less time than if I did not watch it first.
Does anyone know if this is also compatible for an 08 camry hybrid with navigation? I notice this particular trim model doesn't have nav. Thanks in advance for anyone who replies.
I bought and install it today. It works fine except for Zlinks…Android Auto works wireless and Apple Carplay works only wired. It is supposed to be the other way around as per Amazon description🤦🏻♂️ Either this is worth the money to invest…
That’s what did in mine. And, I installed both (two) of the supplied USB cables (one is 4-pin and the other is 6-pin, on the input side of the USB cable).
Is your car JBL or Non JBL. I bought one with extra harness for JBL. And plugs didn't fit. Mine is a 07 SE w/ JBL. Wasn't plug and play. I'm returning it to Amazon. Still looking g for a true plug n plug
This is the absolute best installation video I have seen for the Toyota Camry! It has given me the confidence to tackle the job. I bought a head unit which looks identical to the WOWiViD but it is unbranded. The installation manual is very poor so your video is extremely helpful. There are two USB retention cables in my box and I had absolutely no idea what they were for until I watched your video. My backup camera looks the same but I'm not sure if it has a top and a bottom. If I install it upside down, can the image displayed on the head unit be rotated if necessary? Also, it says to ground the camera to the chassis but I noticed that you simply connect it to the reversing light ground. Much easier! SUBSCRIBED!
@@Johntheheadache Installed without any issues. Reverse camera is better than I expected. FM radio reception is crap but not really an issue because I can play Spotify via Android Auto or plug in memory stick containing audio files. Android Auto is wired and connection is slow. Using tomtom Amigo for navigation which is free and works very well.

The backup rear camera video when I reversed my car is a little grainy but ‘you get what you pay for’. @@fides249the rear end of the rca also has a red wire coming out of it. Where does that connect to? I know the rear positive cam connects to the reverse positive trigger and black to earth but what about the rear red wire on the rca? Does that connect to the reverse positive trigger as well? Worst instructions ever only one piece of paper! 🤦♂️
@@kayboo5835 Hi, I hope I can help. I'm assuming you have already connected the rear backup camera wires, the red wire to the reverse back up light and black wire to earth as ground. On the back of the radio, that red wire next to the RCA cable you connected (yellow male to female), should be connected to the purplish or brownish color wire that says "reverse gear" or "reverse signal". Hope this helps.
You have to scroll over to zlink, and then use a usb a cable to connect to your phone. Once connected via cable, it should work with CarPlay. Also, try connecting your phone via Bluetooth. That’s what worked for me.
Have you tried it out yet? I recently put one in my 09 Camry and it works like a charm! Hello, I wish you would answer my comment. I connected the piece of brown cable in the radio to the cable that was labeled reverse just as you say but in the trunk, on the other end of the cable that carries the video or camera signal, that piece of brown cable where you connect it ? Thank you
Just saying, you don’t have to drill a one inch hole, you can drill a smaller one and thread the other end of the cable through it which is around .25 of an inch
Good video..My 2011 radio just cra pped out. I guess people don't want CD players anymore .I thought I heard you say you can't do XM radio with this that's might be a problem
Man, I wish you did a deeper dive into the wiring part. I have followed the instructions and everything appears wired correctly, but the device doesn't turn on when I turn on the car. You showed the harness to the device, but not which cables from the car.
Ive bought a few of these head units but they no longer have a mount hole on the side to secure to the oem bracket. Without the mount, its now just secured with the top and bottom clips.
The back of the unit looks very thin. I remember just a few years ago a head unit was this big long unit that sticks out in the back. How far technology has come, even the old stereo was much bigger at the back but this new 1 has much more tech but it's smaller. Can someone who has never installed a radio in a car before, EVER, still able to install this 1?
