after the domain name before placing an order as a golden rule.

There are a TON of new websites advertising too good to be true prices from companies whose contact info is hard to find but after digging they’re usually registered somewhere in China / HK. Latest is Southport Jackets. They all have the same looking marketing - enticing jacket and sweater designs hard to find elsewhere listed at 70% off or so - don’t fall for it. its pretty easy to not fall for a scam, to follow general internet safety tips, that should save you like 80% of the times, rather be safe than to have the consequences, is the mindset I go with when going on a suspicious looking site, but scam detector IS a life saver, that is undeniable

There is an advert that sells a mini chainsaw and appears to be 19.99. But beware this is only a glove.the chainsaw is 79.99. Make sure you read advert very carefully as it looks a complete con.

The several commercials that appeared during this video promised me thousands of dollars working from home with very little work. Both give claims and bonus promises, but very little information. These are scams to me, so how can TH-cam allow them?

I feel like if you can't find enough information about a specific company, Then that should already be a red flag. It doesn't matter if everything else checks out, It would suck to spend a lot of money on a product and have it arrived damaged, but the company won't refund your money because the customer service is non existent.

I'm afraid it's nearly impossible... you can try to go after them with the help of authorities, or maybe your bank.

If you bookmark these websites. If you go back to them...say a month later. You click on it and it takes you to a totally new website. Like they really are cycling these sites. It's really disguising. Cus ur happy as hell right....little do you know...you will never get what you paid for

I found out years ago that if you click other links in the fake site you will eventually find dead ends or under construction. They usually aren't complete.
Having been caught a couple of times ... luckily got my money back .. I always check out these websites now .. reviews are very useful ... plus I always feel a genuine website will have a decent "about us" section .. if it's just a load of waffle, stay well clear.. 👌

Do you think it's safe to presume that if a clothing site doesn't offer Paypal as a payment option , that it is more than likely a scammers site ?
I always look for that , and forget it if it's not there. Am i correct in that thinking ?
I don't know if that means it's fake, but definitely using PayPal is safer. Also now that you mention it, I wonder if the link that says PayPal is actually taking you to real PayPal. As this presenter says, check that the URL is legit. Thanks for pointing it out.

It is possible to have legit huge discounts, right? Like a lightbulb camera at risk of selling out 60% discount for a New Years Eve sale. I'm sure it's a scam since all the cameras are on sale and I validated on your site it after someone else had bought it, yet the camera worked fine and the full package was 70 dollars. Your opinions?
Kindly ensure before paying the money online..verify the company details using the contact number provided online. Otherwise go for the Cash on delivery option if available. Do not even go for part payment. Be careful. Be smart. Do not get cheated online and lose your hard earned money.

How can you spot a fake you tube video ? simply look for a video that is made simply to promote software that is in itself a SCAM .. for instance this video is not about helping anyone except selling you this worthless validator software
actually, i'm pretty sure it's just a free website you search by the name of the website and/or domain and it gives you a rating from 0-100 with a breakdown of which areas of the assessment triggered a lower/higher score. That's at least how it worked when I bumped into it... I saw this youtube video embedded in that site before I linked over to watch it on this page. If you tried it and it was trying to sell you something, must've been a different site or I didn't get to the part of their page with the spamware products or downloads.
I think this guy is just trying to promote traffic to his page for ad revenue if he's trying to do some online monetization, but hopefully he's not trying to sell you what is essentially rotten tomatoes for online retailers.

It happens. Be safe and careful. If it ain't on eBay...then just wait for it to get posted. Study the layout...all them sites have the same layout and the same copy & pasted "about us" crap. I knew cus the person said they were based in FL but the person i ALMOST sent the money to had a Asian spelling type of email. It was weird....also the amount i could had bought to... Never trust a website that doesn't tell u how much they have in stock

@@jamie2267 There are probably a lot of scammers out there on eBay, as well, but fortunately, eBay stands behind the buyer 99% of the time. I should know, as I have been selling and buying on eBay for almost 20 years.
